LADA builds Daewoo cars and some other French manufacturer licensed cars ( not sure if it's Peugeot, or Renault) in Russia from Korean components. But the labour quality between South Korea and Russia is very different. Russian cars are often assembled using wood screws, instead of machine screws, which is why their parts vibrate much more than those assembled in South Korea/France.
ОтветитьGreat video was really wonder on the build differences & quality so this helps to clear up any questions&concerns thanks will keep watching
ОтветитьI wish I could import some Mexican bugs, or vocho as they call them.
Ответитьmy vw 2.5 was made in mexico, and i’m bouta turbo it to take it to mexico…iykyk 🙃
ОтветитьMy Mexican built MKV stage 2 with 190k took abuse daily drag strip included never had a issue 🇲🇽
ОтветитьI wish they can pay more money to the assembler workers in Mexico. Its really not fair!
ОтветитьIt is my understanding that even to this day Brazilian and Mexican VW cars have way less computer modules, which is what makes German cars so bad when they break
ОтветитьGerman version all day long. Thank you 😊
Plus the VW are NOT made in Mexico they are assembled there there's a difference 😅
If Volkswagen is a German car company that needs special mechanic, car shop, how do people in Mexico deal with maintenance, repairs, etc??
ОтветитьThis company screwed me out of my money on a bad pcv valve. Bought one from VW instead to correct my issues. They refused money back and were Dicks about it. Never again.
ОтветитьI own a Mexican built 2017 Jetta Wolfsburg 5 speed. Excellent car! Not 1 problem in 6 years. I recently found out the manual transmissions are built in Ukraine! I feel patriotic every time I shift, and yell out a "Death to Putin!" occasionally. 😄
ОтветитьWhat about Brazil built?
ОтветитьSo the Mexican ones are okay, compared to the rednecks in TN?
ОтветитьSome of the differences were with actual different parts. Either ABS or Airbag modules on Brazilian and Mexican built were different from Germany and could be easily borked if you tried resetting an error light even with a VAG COM. They HAD to be reset by a dealership or they would have to be replaced.
ОтветитьMexico is known for dominating the world with their engineering prowess. Just look around and see all those things we wouldn't have if Mexico hadn't invented it.
ОтветитьI have a 2002 Passat - German-made and it is has that solid feel that reminds me of when I used to ride in my aunt and uncle's '70s-'80s Buick. Doors feel heavy and solid. I plan to get a new-used VW again someday which most likely won't be German-made but it will be interesting if just the times in general will lead it to feel 'cheaper' with lower-grade metal. etc.
ОтветитьRespect for the hard working Mexicans.I just think Germans use better quality materials, staring with the shell multiple stages of protection itself, prepping, rust protection etc.
ОтветитьThe lights in tiguan in eu are so good with dynamic swipe indicators and us one's are 🤮
ОтветитьI own a 1993 vw fox, have had it from brand new,and it has been very reliable.BTW,it was made in Sao Paulo, brazil.
ОтветитьMy B5.5 Passat was built in Germany in the same exact plant as the Trabant😁
ОтветитьAs an owner of 3 TDIs and previous owner of a couple VR6 all I can say is I’m very satisfied with the quality of all the VW I’ve had so far. Good job Mexico 🇲🇽
ОтветитьI am a Filipino and since almost 5.5 years ago, my dad bought a 2017 Volkswagen Golf MK7 Wagon and it's believed it was built in Mexico and the Philippines bought some VWs from Mexico for trade and even my dad's VW.
ОтветитьLately on I’m not a motorized vehicle
🇺🇸✌🏻🇩🇪
They build the Audi Q4 in the Puebla plant.
But the Audi has always had issues at high mileage 🤷🏻♂️
Whenever I’m in the middle of mexico visiting family i always see early 2000’s VW jettas running like if they’re brand new, even my dad has a 03 jetta and it’s still running strong
ОтветитьHans was 3 sheets to the wind when they painted my 91 Jetta coupe.
The amount of paint curtains and sags in the engine compartment let you know it's just another car, nothing special at all.
Keep talking BS...my beetle 08 is literally falling apart with a 57 yr old driving for longevity...easy does it... this p o s is falling apart ... S model 2.5...Dispute That soyboys...
ОтветитьI can assure you. The mexicans put alot if time into making sure the ambient lighting in these mk7s is of good wuality!😂 im jk. But i have minimal complaints about my mk7gli other then that everything rattles and shakes very annoyingly. Ive noticed some saying volkswagon is a status symbol of money; maybe its that way in mexico but i dont view it that way. I paid 27k for my autobahn with 16k miles and its msrp was 32ish...which is over 8k less then the average price of a new car in the usa....while theres alot more expensive maintanence i would say it evens out. Maybe not but even if its on the finanically heavier side the reason u buy a bolkswagon is the driving experience. Volkswagon is not an A too B brand. You deive a volkswagon because you enjoy cars. Atleast thats my perception. I like reliablility and performance. Thats why im a volkswagon and toyota fanboy. Neither of those things fall under any american brand. P.s some may argue but if you want too drive a new volkswagon 250k miles-do NOT buy the base 1.4l engine on the jetta/golf. Buy a gti/gli unless your only doing hey miles. The karger engine higher low end torque will decrease the strain on the engine sooo much it will last alot longer. Accelerating moderately like the average person does in my gli shifts at about 2200rpms. That same acceleration in the base 1.4l shifts above 3k rpms....thats a hugee difference that your wallett will notice at 200k miles. You see it on all vehicles such as a 2000 chevy 1500 i owned. My geannie had the 4.3l v6 while i had the big 5.3v8. Hers broke down 3x as much as mine. And mine never suffered any/not a dingle engine failure. Also if your looking at used trucks with over 2-300k miles there almost all the bigger v8 engines bc they undergo alottt less stress. Cheers mates
ОтветитьMy MK5 Jetta with the 07k is about to hit 200k with no major issues. Made in Mexico and still going strong
ОтветитьBack in 2011 I remember talking to production facility engineers about the new Beetle and they sent the manager from Porsche's 911 facility to make sure it was to a higher standard than any VW they've made. To make up for their disaster with the New Beetle. I'd love to get some solid evidence on this. From personal experience the fit/finish and reliability seems exponentially better than other VW's. There's zero information on this subject sadly.
ОтветитьI had a friend with a New Beetle and she was plagued with problems that left her stranded on the road. It was always electronics or coils supplied by VW not the Mexican assembly. I am enjoying my Mexican assembled GTI.
ОтветитьVIN number, shows BUILD Germany, or BUILD in Mexico. What's that mean? For sure car is not assembled in Germany and transported to the USA or Canada by ship cargo! How that we CAN'T find any video, ship come from Germany, and reload car to the American cost???????
ОтветитьThe place with the least environmental laws makes anything metal using metals etc cause the metals can go thru a harsher process to gain strength
ОтветитьCzechoslovakia is no longer a country :D
ОтветитьI owned a 92 MIM Jetta, and I can attest that the QC was horrible and was confirmed by my local dealer. cylinder head warpage, lots of fit and finish issues. 92 was the first year (or close to it) of VW setting up their Mexico production line, so it was a learning year. So avoid '92 and should be fine....
ОтветитьHi there!!! , do you know on the website I can get the spare parts for the Volkswagen Beetle Mexican 1997? I will be very grateful
ОтветитьChecoslovaquia no longer exist since 1992.
ОтветитьMexico is six times larger than germany. Too biased.
ОтветитьInsightful mate
ОтветитьThe German vehicles were likely better when new but in terms of reliability on average a 50 year old vehicle will do worse than a 10 year old.
Ответить💋🇲🇽💋🇩🇪💋🇩🇪❤🇲🇽🇩🇪
ОтветитьMexican built VWs may not be that bad. I always do my best work after taking a nap. And we all know Mexicans love their siestas 😊 JK
ОтветитьMy new Volkswagen tiguan allspace premium elegance 2022 made in Mexico and it's pretty high quality without any issues 👌
ОтветитьShort answer: racism is stupid
ОтветитьStop buying anything made in Mexico these people are being taken advantage of if you are OK with this you have no soul and should be sent to work in Mexico.
ОтветитьI've had Honda cars made in Mexico that are just as good as the Japanese one. I own my first VW and it was made in Wolfsburg, so I can't speak to the German vs Mexican issue.
I do know that the VW's made in Mexico in the 1970's - Beetles and Thing - were not that great. Maybe that was just the VW thing more than the geographic one.
both have their issues. my german built ID.4 had to get a new driver's side strut and wipers adjusted.
ОтветитьI think our vw Taos is built in Mexico. I have no concerns
ОтветитьMines a 2011 Jetta built in Mexico, not a single flake in the gearbox and not a single lifter tick.
Ответить
