I've dabbled in making board games. It is not easy. Using it as an outlining tool seems totally wild to me.

And, yes, I want to see his game.

It's not depressing that writing is a collaborative process in Hollywood. It's depressing that the collaborative demands that Hollywood makes are usually so bad.

Kinda depressing to work on a script that you put your heart and soul into and then have it get shelved...
Also, making choices is really hard and I'm struggling with it on my own script right now. 😩

This is some of the best practical advice I've ever seen on screenwriting. It's not what you want to hear. It's what you NEED to hear.

His point about screenwriting (I think he actually said "any creative work") being about making choices that narrow your range of options until you finally settle on the final form/option subset/story is why I believe that every film is a propaganda film. They have to be. They can't even by written, much less shot, edited and released unless they are.

A very humble man telling writers that his first writing gig was a fluke! It is a mix of having good luck and talent in this industry... Great advice 👍🤎

This was very informative ! Did not understand the difference between ‘the business’ and your own creative vision.

Wow. Writers would write not knowing if their stuff would be seen? Buy I guess that's how Traditional publishing was too.

This was the opposite of depressing. Extremely well-described, humbling, excellent prep for this particular career. And insanely likeable teacher! I booted a pretty man out of my apartment to finish listening to this series 😅 that's some compelling material!

I learnt so much from this interview with Mr Glenn 1 is learning the mechanism of writing, 2 is that one have to make a choice out of so many written script or screen writes "Everything is a choice, Every choice has a price" 3 is how to think in scenes out of peoples ideas, desires or thoughts ( create scene out of other peoples idea). Thank you Mr Glenn and Film Courage, I love you. I REALLY HAVE A HUGE PIECE TO GO WITH

I'd like this board game story to become a video game. I like him. He's funny and seems very genuine and down to earth.

It sounds like quantum mechanics which no one understands. Uncertainty never goes to zero. Alternate possible paths merge into the one that we get to see but cannot control.
