awesome bass playing skills on 8 strings !!
ОтветитьEven though I quite dislike the 'Rabin Era' of YES, this is awesome.
ОтветитьBloody hell Miquel.......lost for words! Just brilliant!
Ответить■■■...Magnifique!!! More Yes bass stuff. Chris lives thru you!!!
ОтветитьOne of my all time favorite tunes! Killer album.
ОтветитьNice sounding bass, nice wood on it also.
ОтветитьSounding ( and looking ) awesome as usual, Miguel.
Your happiness and joy while playing are/is contagious! I had a rush of endorphins within seconds watching and listening to this. What a way to start my day off. I feel I can tackle anything today, now, as you have made me very happy, and joyous, yet again!
Go, Miguel!!
WOW!
Absolutely FANTASTIC, from start to finish!
Thank you for your love, and passion. Bring a YESfan, a Chris Squire-fan, and Miguel-fan is a continued blessing.
play going to one please BR
ОтветитьParabéns pelo excelente trabalho e por manter acesa a chama desse que foi o maior baixista da historia o rock!
ОтветитьDamn, that's a fine looking bass. You captured Squire's tone and performance beautifully. (I never realized the baseline "borrowed" a bit from Owner of a Lonely Heart)
ОтветитьThis is by far the best version of the song and you nailed it!
ОтветитьAlways loved when squire and rabin played together. Two leads at the same time going in different directions but made it work.
ОтветитьGreat job, Miguel! That bass sounds beautiful. Always loved Chris’s use of the 8-String. Would love to see you cover Hearts with this bass when you get the chance.
ОтветитьAhhhhh some serious bass playing right there folks!! Chris was incredible, and so is your playing! Not every one can pull this stuff off!! Peace brother
ОтветитьThat bass sure sounds pretty M, Great song choose and bass choose!! You the man!
ОтветитьD and G are tuned in 5ths?
ОтветитьThose 5ths make all the difference on this tuning. Thanks for the inspiration!
ОтветитьThe Amazing compositions of Mr Chris Squire. Never again will we see his like. Fantastic Miguel, I love you man..... did you look at Alan Davey ?
ОтветитьYour really put your heart into this! I can tell how much you love bass and the song, it's inspiring. I've always wanted an 8 or 12. My mom put me onto this album at an early age and this is one of our personal favorites. Luckily I play bass! The octave strings are tuned a 5th higher to make a mini power chord right?
ОтветитьI've got an 8'er too 😎
ОтветитьThis is interesting. Always wondered how he got that harmony on the bass. Thought it must be doubled/overdubbed or done by splitting the channel and harmonising to the main signal.
Ответитьthis bass sound amazing !
ОтветитьGreat song and great cover👍
ОтветитьThat was fun!
ОтветитьThank you so much for showing the beautiful sound of the 8 strings! I saw Yes playing during this period where they in a way reinvented themselves with the help of the amazing Trevor Rabin. I must say that I always considered the 71 through 74 recordings their masterpieces, but your posting reminded me of the genius of Chris Squire always innovating. I remember on that concert using a pedal board bringing his Bass an octave lower (as opposed to the eight strings with an octave higher), it was such a powerful sound with the stack of subwoofers! 🎶🙏
ОтветитьNice always loved the sound & tone of multi stringed basses from Tom Petterson from Cheap Trick & Greg Lake. Great tone & control very fluid playing. Looking forward to future videos.
ОтветитьFabulous!!!!
ОтветитьBrilliant!
ОтветитьWhat kind of bass is that?
ОтветитьNailed it!! Had the tone and everything.
ОтветитьAs expected, you killed it Miguel. Fantastic!
ОтветитьAlways thought the bass is brilliant on this. You’ve done it great justice 🎉🎉❤❤
ОтветитьSubscribed! Neil also recommended ❤
ОтветитьNoice! I was in a band that used to jam this song (we didn't have the guts to play it live). I used an MicroPog to simulate the 8 string. This sounds better.
ОтветитьAlways love Chris and 8-String Bass but what I found really cool here was the open strings. Sounds like nothing else.
Have a Boss OS-3 for the church organ stuff but I'm thinking octave up for the 8- string sound?
Chris Squire achieved great midrange sound just like you but simultaneous low end punch. A master.
ОтветитьVery nice!!
ОтветитьQue instrumento incrivel!!! Amei!
ОтветитьThis could very well be the best sounding bass I've ever heard. What a stunning sound! Chris Squire's unusual tuning makes it even better.
ОтветитьReally well done…I’ve been an 8-string player since the late ‘70s (as well as 10- and 12-string root/octave basses.) I like how they did the wavy Squire/Entwistle “Potatohead” Ric on your Ranney.
ОтветитьAlembic?
ОтветитьI’ve been contemplating acquiring an 8-string bass.
ОтветитьOf course I love all of 90125 but this song got me through so many rough times and I’m forever grateful for the gift of music.
ОтветитьWow i love it! Buying a 8 sting now!!😊
ОтветитьExcellent playing. I struggle to find words to describe what an incredible sound the 8-string has.
ОтветитьMaratonando a série YES!
