Despite how we are treated we live and love ❤❤
Mmmm Ragu arrangini 😅 the pea sauce is different btw
The l'ortolano dish is just like the Turkish dish "icli kofte".😂
Ответитьi dont know why you didn't record the trash on the street and the horrible decrepit buildings
Ответитьshe needs to come up for air every 5 minutes ! Phew
Ответить1 minute in - slow down girl !!
Ответитьi was born there and I loved life there
ОтветитьPlease don’t lie to people about how beautiful Catania is because it’s not. It’s very filthy and the smell coming from the markets are absolutely horrible. Would never go back to Sicily.
ОтветитьI’m sorry I Dont know if we are talking about a different city but this(Catania)is the most disgusting place I have ever been.
ОтветитьDid you see any bats at night?
ОтветитьI live in catania and mt Etna is the most active volcano in the WORLD. And if you come to catania more less in November, Decrmber, but Januaty it is filled to the bottom with snow. The city has been destroyed over 7 times by Etna
Ответитьyou need to visit solarino sicily
ОтветитьAwesome! Just moved to Catania!
ОтветитьIf you want to visit Sicily, especially Catania, we recommend to hold a nife or a gan in your hand in order to defend yourself from aggressive natives. You may lose your health or life as one tourist from Poland, who is now in critical condition in hospital after being attacked in Piazza Stesicoro. If you want to live, stay away from Sicily.
ОтветитьIs it expensive I wanna go back for a summer
ОтветитьI lived there 80-83 while in the navy turned 18-19-20 yrs old there.had so much fun
ОтветитьBtw we did all the things in your video, thank you.
ОтветитьWe just returned last night. The architectural masterpieces are gorgeous but it is a graffiti ridden sewer of constant dog shit, I mean constant broken or alcohol bottles and garbage. It feels like walking in a stew of STDs. It is filthy I mean filthy.
ОтветитьSurrounded by some of the best food in all of Italy then eats Korean? 😞
ОтветитьKorean in Catania love it! Glad you got some arancini though :)
ОтветитьI am taking your advice, currently in Catania dining at Panda (Korean)😊
Ответитьjust what I wanted to see, Canadian tourists eating Korean food in Catania!
ОтветитьGoing to catania next month fr. Korea 🇰🇷 saw u guys have visited the Korean restaurant and decided to leave a comment ha ha 😂Did U rental car there? How was the public transportation?
ОтветитьHey, I have watched your channel a few times and did not realize you are eastcoasters 😊
Thanks for the content! 👍 (From PEI)
Could you share information about transportation between the cities, please?
ОтветитьYou are videoing Korean food in Sicily. Seriously? This is another stupid video. Your videos are very hit and miss.
ОтветитьHalf the video was on Korean food. Didn't learn much about Catania.
ОтветитьIf it says Roman. It’s really Greek.
Ответитьdo you go to Catania and eat Korean food? Don't you eat pasta with sardines or the fabulous fish like swordfish that you can find there? You have failed
ОтветитьL'Etna non ha mai distrutto Catania, nel 1669 la colata lavica si riversò nel mare. E' possibile che in tempi antichi il vulcano abbia provocato danni maggiori ma non esisteva ancora la città
ОтветитьNot to bash Italy by any means but why the trash? Going from a city like Vienna to anywhere in Italy, it’s night and day. Does Italy just not have the funds or people do not care as much?
ОтветитьMate, I'm Sicilian born and living in Catania. I'm afraid you made a huge mistake about arancini..... These dishes aren't "a few different" then these of Palermo, but that are utterly different, you can't compare that rice balls cooked with a few meat inside that (arancine palermitane) to a masterpiece, a huge enjoyment!
Overmore I saw arancini you eat and, I can swear that was one of the worst. You know, arancino isn't at all a easy dish to make, but if you find that ones whome are able for that you'll get delighted and never forget that experience. Trust thewebhorse
Spent a lot of time in Catania and loved it! So I'm super excited that you're there and loving it, too!
ОтветитьWe found Catania to be disgusting, trash, graffiti and gross smell filled. It was ewspecially depressing after being in Taormina. Also horse and donkey on the menus fuckin gross
ОтветитьThe reason of the musical notes hanging on the streets is that there was the Bellini context music festival.
Bellini was born in Catania, and he wrote the music for Casta diva for example, and lots of opera music
It has much to offer, shame it's filthy
ОтветитьHi Trevor & Anna 😊 Did your tiny home in cape Breton survive hurricane Fiona ? Hope so !!!
Ответитьawesome!
where did you stay? which neighborhood is better to rent apartment?
❤️🐘💙
ОтветитьIt was great to finally hear so many positive comments on this city. Thanx from an American living here since 2001.
ОтветитьWhat, you go to Catania and you have Korean Dinner? Pure nonsense with all Catania has to offer in terms of food.
ОтветитьMy partner and I ended jumping on a plane to Catania back in September 2020 when travel choices were limited and we were so glad we made that choice. We rewatched the godfather trilogy before we went out there just to make it feel ultra atmospheric 😁. Palermo and Cefalu is a trip we lost to covid restrictions and need to reschedule. Catania would definitely be a good place to live for a little while, the beach tends to be quieter there too. Like you say it's having variety of food too as we also live Italian food but in recent years when we did a trip of Bologna and Florence we were near the end of the trip and desperate to eat some veg as Italian food is so pasta and bread centric. Also it's good to hear that Budapest your favourite place, it's ours too but we seem to rarely come across anyone that's been there. Sziget music Festival is great in August there. Jules
ОтветитьI like Sicily, the food, climate, art, culture, architecture.Catania is beautiful like Syracuse,Palermo etc.Greetings from Rome
ОтветитьIf you Google the story of the elephant of Catania you will find a story that it is the symbol of Catania. This black elephant is also called 'U Liotru' and it is the symbol of Catania. The name probably comes from Eliodoro, a nobleman from Catania who would have liked to be a bishop, but never became one.
The story goes that he met a Jewish magician who initiated him into the world of magic. Eliodoro is said to have made the elephant himself and rode it to Constantinople, where he was burned at the stake. The elephant survived and thus became the symbol of Catania. The fountain was designed in 1736 by Vaccarini who got this idea from Bernini's elephant, which stands in front of the Santa Maria sopra Minerva in Rome. The elephant – how could it be otherwise – is made of black lava stone. The obelisk is originally from Egypt. The elephant protects the city from the eruptions of Mount Etna.
Bedda Catania (bellissima Catania) 👏💯💪✌️❤️
