Glad you’re well after the hospital, Cecil! Demi Moore is awesome, she killed it in the 80s and especially 90s, I’m glad it sounds like she brings it in this. I have to catch this.
ОтветитьI’ll have to check this out. Never Let Go was terrible.
ОтветитьThis one has been getting a LOT of love! Glad to see you liked it as well, Cecil! 😃👍 I hope you’re doing well since you had a hospital visit! 🫶
ОтветитьGlad to hear the positivity about the movie. Definitely will watch. Glad to see Demi back on the big screen.
ОтветитьI can't watch this unless it comes out on physical media. From what I can understand it shows how shallow people are as I'm almost 50& i don't give a shit what I look like. It doesn't change me. Great review as always 😊👍👍🐾👋
ОтветитьGlad you’re feeling better. Gonna check out this weekend!
ОтветитьGlad you are out the hospital , bud.
ОтветитьLiked the film quite a bit but logistically, it didn’t make tons of sense. First off, with very vague instructions, how did they manage to do all the injections properly? Like, they just knew to do spinal taps and intramuscular injections? How? Also, how would sue get hired without ID or work history/residence? She would still need a W-2 if her employer didn’t want to get in trouble with the IRS. Also, the company behind The Substance never took any initial payment. Just strange. The ending was also a too damn goofy. And the movie could have lost 20-30 minutes and not suffered at all.
The body horror stuff was great but the in-universe logic didn’t make much sense. Definitely still top 3 of the year so far. The sound design was glorious. All the squishes and cracks were properly disgusting. The grossest thing I’ve seen all year is Dennis Quaid eating shrimp. lol
I dug everything about this. One of the most unique films I've seen in a long time. It was quite beautiful to look at but also repulsive. How about the sound too? Sometimes just that will make you pucker. I also loved the dreamy, superficial, humorous and exaggerated aesthetic that is similar to American Psycho in some aspects.
ОтветитьI'm 56 years old, seen hundreds of movies and I think this is perhaps the freakiest film I've ever seen. Had to look away at times. Everyone who left the auditorium was stunned at what they'd watched. Congratulations 👏👏
ОтветитьThis movie absolutely left me speechless. Yes, the ending is insane but absolutely fits in the context of the escalating story.
ОтветитьYeah, it definitely got over the top at the end. My new celebrity crush has to be sue, also prepare yourself for a Cameo from auntie ethel in BG3.
ОтветитьThis movie is art. As a guy it made me think about aging and ‘the patriarchy’. Everyone needs to see it.
