If you think the Watchtower was scary, try Taft Point in Yosemite.
ОтветитьThat watchtower was absolutely stunning. Kudos to the you for doing it. Some truly glorious terrain and scenery in this video. Thansk once again.
Ответить❤
ОтветитьAmazing! all you both do
ОтветитьGreat way to make a loop out of two features. Watchtower looks amazing. I also enjoyed your bear run-in since I had a very similar one in Yosemite earlier in the month. While getting water out of Yosemite creek about 1/4 mile above the falls, I turned around and there was a beautiful brown colored Black Bear. I was alone, and there were some low shrubs that prevented both of us from seeing each other. We surprised each other about 15 feet apart, I yelled and it startled him (he kind of jumped and jiggled and ran the other way.) I was really scared for a few seconds, and then I got to enjoy watching him run away. When he was at a safe distance, I called out to him (hey Bear), and he looked right at me for a great camera shot. The entire Sierra range is so amazing. Please keep sharing!
ОтветитьHaha, my very next video that I watch is another "loose rock" one. This one wasn't so tough on my adrenals! At least you stayed away from the "kerb" Adam 😉 I often find myself smiling for minutes on end watching you "work&play"!
ОтветитьExcellent hike and video!! Elise you look great 🤩!!
ОтветитьWent by there sometime in the 80s. Past watchtower on the way to pear. Then on to moose lake. Almost died a couple times. Stayed for a total of 11 days. Fishing was great!Memories!
ОтветитьThanks guys. I love that couple ❤
ОтветитьNice!
ОтветитьThis was 100% amazing, thank you!!!
ОтветитьThanks for the video, where did you start? How many miles/elevation and how long did it take?
ОтветитьLol, you guys are so cool! I love your videos. I subscribed.
ОтветитьBig Bird Lake and Moose Lake, Cloud Canyon and Deadman Canyon offer many adventures in this area. A favorite spot and you won't see many people. Lots and lots of bears in that area, many with cubs. It's Bear Heaven.
Ответитьofftrail in kings/sequoia, every day is the craziest hike in the park. 😅 so many mind blowing offtrail passes.
if you would have stayed higher and gone a little further you would hit the moose lake use trail that would have taken you down to pear.
Y'all are wild for this
ОтветитьAbsolutely inspired. Merci beaucoup.
ОтветитьI love your videos. But, dangerous because of the trails you take, I also noticed no warm clothing, no extra rations of food and water, no bear repellent, do you even have a basic small safety kit. ...I'm just concerned
ОтветитьSo vertical represents insufficient danger. Only super vertical rock formation fills the danger aspect. You never fail to impress and provide outstanding scenery.
ОтветитьHi, guys... I’ll bet you didn’t that you were looking at Mt. Whitney from Alta! Very dangerous, but beautiful trek!
ОтветитьIrresponsible
ОтветитьDo you two experience the force of gravity like the other hikers on earth do?
ОтветитьI remember that hulk 2003 was filmed for the final battle bruce banner fights his horrible father who became the absorbing man, the scene where general ross told the jet crew the fire the nuk missle and assumed bruce was dead or alive
ОтветитьDo you recommend wearing cow bells to deter animals from tracking or sneaking up on you?
ОтветитьYou guys are rock stars! Awesome vid.
ОтветитьNational park bears tend not to attack humans. They know jail time or a summary execution follows,so they stick to fish.
ОтветитьMy hands are sweating PROFUSELY, watching you along the Watchtower! I've been there, once, but didn't get so close to the edge. I just hiked Alta Peak a few days ago...my friend, who I went with, did the traverse last year. I want to do it with him, hopefully next year. But he did not go the Watchtower route after Pear Lake. He took the Lakes Trail back. P.S. Thank you for producing such a great video!!
ОтветитьExcellent video guys... I will be trying to do the same on Friday... Done a screenshot of the route you took for the traverse but if you have any advice or landmarks to follow will be appreciated. Thanks again.
ОтветитьThe summit of Alta Peak is beautiful, and terrifying! We've talked about doing the Alta to Pear scramble, but are too chicken. Such a great spot! Looking at the date of this video, and we weren't too far. We were on the HST late July 21. I'd love to see you guys do that! It is classic Sequoia.
ОтветитьWow! I’m binge watching all your videos and I’m a 36 yr old mom of two small kids who has 0 interest in the outdoors! LOL! I love the positive vibes. Shocked your channel doesn’t have multi million subscribers!
ОтветитьI cannot stop admiring your fitness level. I wish I would be that fit. Now, one observation. The summer climbs when you don't have more than a daypack with you, are better done with approach shoes, not mountain boots. To each its own...
ОтветитьConsidering doing Longs Peak Keyhole Route, but wondering about the exposure, especially along the segment called the "Narrows." Exposure is fun, but only if one is confident about safety.
ОтветитьI like you 🌹🌹
ОтветитьU guys are so great to watch, makes me want to do even more hiking. I just became a 46er last month
ОтветитьCame upon your channel and find it interesting that you do all these long hikes and climbs with merely a running pack/vest. I’ve been a mountaineer and climber for over 30years. I’d never go out so unprepared. Bad things can happen, from a twisted ankle to a fall. What about ropes? Sometimes a rope is needed. Climbing in shorts!!? You’re asking for cuts and bruises. Anyhow, consider gearing up a bit more, please. Stay safe out there.😊👍
ОтветитьIt exists. We did it approximately 10 years ago. We definitely weren’t the first or the last.
ОтветитьFirst. You guys rock. Second. I shouldnt have watched this right before bed....now my feet are sweaty and heart is pounding lol. Awesome views!!
ОтветитьBreathtaking vistas and colors.. enjoyed your exploring to find a way down to Pear Lake. I use to cringe when y'all ran along the rims, but now since I know from watching your videos, I realize you guys are professionals.and know.what you're doing. So I just sit back with my 🍿 & 🥤 and enjoy watching..
ОтветитьAMAZING!!
ОтветитьGorgeous views! Thank you for taking us with you.
ОтветитьYou guys need some lightweight impromptu harnesses.
I'll be uploading some videos soon about harnesses
Another beautiful one , many thanks
ОтветитьGreat job being careful to think through the safest routes and being willing to change course as needed. Mountain trails can be tricky and suddenly dangerous. Many injuries or worse occur when hikers don't pause and think through their steps and routes. As you noted, simple things like loose gravel can ruin your day quickly or worse.
You can live on the edge, so to speak, but without taking excessive risks.
Great video and experience!
The Sierra Nevada mountains are stunning. Can't get enough.
ОтветитьDefinitely enjoy your good health and fitness while you can !👍👍👍👍
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьMust be great to find Your own way. I did it several times in Norway and the Himalayas, but the conditions were not so spectacular like Yours. Thanks for sharing.
I am curious, how long have You been doing this kind of trail running?
Wow !!!!
