Fantastic video! It's easier then I thought. Thank you for the 101 teaching!
ОтветитьPerfect! Thank you!
Ответитьalso: any option for hiding the "New+" and "export to excel" buttons on the top? (especially since adding a new wiki page doesnt go via this new button it is confusing to have it there)
ОтветитьThat I great information here never heard of it! I see some rare website ranking at the top in google with an everyone wiki page. Can I do the same with the Sharepoint page /wiki page? What is your seo ranking experience with thes method in google and Bing ?
Have a nice weekend !
So helpful!
Best Tutorial I came across about this.
Thank you so much for uploading this!
any chance you also know how to turn off the suffix for this view? i cant seem to find this option
Ответитьgood stuff. Unfortunately, certain critical features on this training were not available due to the author working in sharepoint online, not sharepoint 2019. Sharepoint 2019 is missing some of these features, such as page template, page details web part, list details web part, etc.
ОтветитьThanks - Video certainly helps !
ОтветитьThe reason why most of us dont see the option Wiki page yes/no... is because the column is for some reason set to be default avaiblable for "Wiki pages" and "Pages with webparts" and not "Site pages". I have no clue how to make this also available for Site pages
ОтветитьThanks, very interesting. Can we use this wiki page as a public site for our external users?
ОтветитьThanks
Ответитьthere is no longer an area in the template where it says Wiki page "No" how do I move forward?
ОтветитьGreat, thank you very much. Helps really allot
ОтветитьHi, When creating my template, I don't get the option to make the wiki page value to 'Yes'. How can I resolve this?
ОтветитьHi there!
Awesome tutorial!! I work in a company which uses Sharepoint, and I am thinking about proposing a wiki knowledge base.
One thing I missed in your tutorial, though, is these user experiences:
(1) How another user would edit already created wiki page and, in doing so, is there an easy way to hyperlink all pages, such as what happens in traditional wikis? For instance the use of double brackets [[ to create hyperlinks and new pages. I know that OneNote has this feature, so I hope Microsoft might have expanded it to sharepoint.
(2) Accessing the wiki page without the need to access the sharepoint's library. I saw that you created a link in Sharepoint's sidebar. What would happen if I add this link to, say, an Intranet page for the company.
Are these easy to develop? Or is there another tutorial where I could research about this?
I never used Sharepoint before (only as a front end user), and I would like to pitch a project for our Innovation Management Team.
Kind regards!!
Anyone had an issue where they cant change the Page Details --> Wiki Page yes/no checkbox?
Mine appears as a disabled checkbox and not a toggle as shown in the video
so if we hit public... the public could see our wikipage? like we see wiki on google ?
ОтветитьIsn't this the same as creating Word Docs and uploading them to a document library? or am I missing something?
ОтветитьThank you Matt, this is awesome!
ОтветитьExcellent, so just to be clear, your are setting new pages to behave like the old wiki pages?
In other words, in the "new style" SharePoint, there are no real wikipages like in old times?
Isnt a Wiki though
Ответитьshow us the final result
ОтветитьThank you so much - I have a problem with the filter of the wiki-setting. Everytime I start over , I have to click the yes- selection again in the filter. Do you know how I can change that?
ОтветитьThank you so much!
ОтветитьGOD DAMN. This was so good. The guys voice is lovely. His points are super clear, the editing to highlight the mouse at important parts was lovely. 5/5
ОтветитьFantastic! Very interesting and useful! Only problem, in the template I don't see the property column created and in this way I can't filter the pages by wiki category. But in general very very useful. Thanks
Ответитьwhat is the software that you used to record this tutorial?
ОтветитьThank you for this, it was very simple and clear. Appreciate it!

Worked perfectly for creating a wiki for a department at work, Great how to :)
ОтветитьIncredible content!
ОтветитьThank you so much. This was simple and effective.
ОтветитьThanks, for this easy and understandable explaination.
ОтветитьGreat video. What's the advantage over just doing the built in Wiki page?
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьWas just happily folling your video to create a wiki this way when it dawned on me: missing ability to search for wiki indexed pages/links
ОтветитьReally good video. However, I ran into an odd snag right at the beginning. For some reason the page details page doesn't list any of the custom properties I created. It just says "There are no custom properties available." I went back to Site Pages and created a few additional custom properties. A choice column and single line of text column. NONE of these are showing up as a property I can attach to my pages. Any idea what is going on here?
ОтветитьContent was great! But.... I do wish it was a tad slower so I could create the page the same time you were doing it without rushing it to better understand how to do it. Also, "speed thru the video so you don't have to sit through it" defeats the purpose of learning how to do it.
ОтветитьThx for the video. But what about security? I don’t want users to be able to edit all my site pages. Just add wiki pages. I think the safest way to do this is create a wiki only library. Also is there a way to restrict users to use the template page? I don’t want a zillion different page flavors.
ОтветитьThank you for the video. Is there a possibility to search via MS TEAMS on the Sharepoint sides?
Because the Homepages can be implemented in TEAMS, but with the search function i do not get any content.
Great video man you really helped me!
ОтветитьThe title shows SP2019, but the content is for SPO. SP2019 doesn't have page template for modern site.
ОтветитьThis was helpful, however would have been more so if you showed how you can produce a search feature which only searches the pages you have marked as Wiki.
ОтветитьVideo was good but the SP KB Wiki is need easy for my users. Also, why can't I add images into these types of pages? I can in the Classic experience.
ОтветитьThis was really helpful ! Thanks
