I had to put down my dog, who was healthy and only three years old, because he kept attacking me. We tried trainers, meds, vet behaviorist, etc. I moved out of my house for a while, then we bought a new house and he was better for about 16 months. The hope I felt from this period is what made it so much worse when he regressed again and we were out of options. He started attacking me outside where I thought we'd never have an issue. Put him down last year. I have never felt that my grief could be 'shared' or understood until I watched this show again about a month afterwards. We don't have kids, got him two months after we got married.

He was my baby and I had to kill him.

This song can always make me feel that 'shared' feeling especially when it plays when Nora meets Wayne and he asks her 'do you want to feel this way forever'. Great stuff

still listening in 2023. Masterpiece

6 years ago while searching for shows similar like Lost, I came across Leftovers. I used to study in college at that time and I could not watch it past 4 episodes. It made me feel sad, unhappy and blue but I have always loved the soundtrack and would listen to it on Spotify all the time, so much that this song is on the Facebook bio. 3 weeks ago I came across this extended version and after reading all the good comments, I started watching it again. This time it hit different. I have no words to explain how remarkable this show is; the writing, acting, direction, music everything put together is just so poetic. Yes it is painful, sad, nostalgic, melancholy, full of grief but this time I could relate to it. bcoz Life happens.. Shit happens…

something about this song, makes you realize losing it all is just a part of the journey

If you watched the leftovers back when it came on. i HIGHLY recommend watching again, maybe even a 3rd time. Everything has so much more meaning now then it did in 2014-2017. My mind is opened to so much more now. Especially the way the world is going now in 2023. I am in Awe of this brilliant music, and TV show.

The translation of the Latin is "Bring us Peace". Such an apt title for this song. To me this song, the image above and even the show itself is all if the characters crying out to be given peace. Life itself is pain. You look to the sky for God or any reason for your suffering. A pale blue dot with billions of souls calling out pleading for some kind of peace in this life. Its what we all want and few ever get. I miss you Asma. Always and forever.

This is so beautiful, and haunting, and sad. But i also love the Departure arrangement inserted at the end of S3E1. It has this moment where the brass swells and it goes from sad to almost triumphant; absolutely moving.
