How to Use Android Auto in Your Toyota | Toyota

I have a 2021 and my Android Auto does NOT work. TOYOTA WOLFCHASE dealer where I purchased the car NEW says there is nothing wrong with the system. They blame my phone which is running Android version 12 and has Android Auto built in. Blame everything but the car, of course. I have split the home screen into 3 sections. One to allow NAV (which is usually wrong) to show partial maps, one section for economy, one for frequently called contacts. For the past 3 weeks, I can't keep contacts, they self erase after about two start cycles. This car is a lease, I'm really sorry to have committed to keeping the car as I just put $1100 worth of Michelin's on it. The car had 24K when I noticed the seat bolster wearing....That's also my tough shit. I will NEVER have another Toyota in my driveway. This is a $47K car. It shouldn't be having these issues. The car only has 26K on the clock.

This is a joke. Toyota, shame on you for leaving certain drivers without a way to use their head unit for navigation...which just about EVERY car has. It may as well have an old Simon game on the dash. So, I paid 35k for a car I was told had navigation!!?Something even my mom's Hyundai Kona has with Android Auto. This makes me sick. I hope you get sued. I'm so mad, I will NEVER get another Toyota and will tell everyone to watch out.

Dear Toyota in 2023, connecting Android with Ubs cable is not normal with Apple but not with Android, why? Things have to get better.

I just bought a 2023 Toyota Tacoma today and I own a Google Pixel Pro 7. Android auto does not start when I connect my phone via a USB cable. Very frustrating right off the bat and no way to use navigation...

How do you turn off Bluetooth? It keeps automatically connecting to that and Wi-Fi. It's a '22, wired setup only. So it should not need Bluetooth/WiFi. I can't for the life of me figure out how to stop this. Apple Car Play is so much better. Luckily, this switch to Android is temporary.

My 2022 Tacoma doesn't prompt my phone to start android auto, it prompts to use an app that isn't available in the US... I've checked the installed apps in my truck and all I can see is apple car play, and wifi... was it not installed into my truck, and how do I get my truck to use my android auto app on my phone? Also by the looks of the HUD, I've got the same one installed in my 2022 Tacoma... Apple car play works seemlessly with my truck, but I recently switched back to android and am missing out on this.
