As someone Dutch who grew up Dutch, when at a soccer (football) game, I won't be calling it "Nederland". It's either "Holland" or "Oranje" ([House of] Orange) because patriotic. Sure "the Netherlands" is proper, but everyone understands, just like when you say "Murica"

Actually in some languages like Arabic the country Netherlands is called Hollanda

Long ago on Quora, a woman from The Netherlands posted something asking people to call the language Hollands rather than Dutch. I pointed out that well educated people in the US usually called it Nederlands, but some even educated people in the UK still call it Dutch. I further said it would be a tough sell to get them to stop saying Nederlands and start saying Hollands. She allowed as that would be an OK word, but it isn't the one she came up with.
