Services like Distrokid or Ditto (They are the 2 best of the genre) make distribution look so easy, that it's waaaaay better for an artist to pay 19,99$ per year and have a total control on their music than just go through the demo process. Back in the days, music labels provided so much things to artists :

- Musicians who worked with them
- Sound engineers to mix the song
- Composers to build a great piece based on a demo
- Press contacts to talk about the songs in magasines
- PR who went in dancings and clubs to give a free copy to DJs or owners

Now, they just do what distrokid does and take at least 50% of your money.

Getting Artist verified is take time to be got verified to be honest. After 1 month I'm now artist verified.

Question I was working with others in my earlier career days, and so far, they have uploaded to all platforms with my music, being an independent artist now, still carry my name, how do I go about Spotify etc. because I see all the works posted. with my name, and I need to create my own account from Spotify to iTunes and all , claimed my account. Distrokid is my distributor. as of now
