Good thing Renault has 15% now, which leaves nissan to make most of the decisions for themselves.
ОтветитьMaybe the Japanese government should just bail them out and buy them out in a 5-10 year restructuring deal that includes firing all of management and restructuring that mess. Then setup a plan for Nissan to buy itself back from the government and be independent again under full Japanese control.
ОтветитьYOU KNOW I DON'T MIND THE CAT FIGHT OR DOG FIGHT BUT THE REFREE HAS TO BE A DIFFERENT REFREE .....(NON-BIASED NOT DISEASED). PERIOD. CLEAN.
Ответитьimho,,
the true winner from this alliance is Renault
Renault get leaps on technicality, technologies and expertise from Mitsubishi and Nissan
while Nissan and Mitsubishi probably just receive money from Renault, which was they desperately need
this video and journalism covers up that the stake of 28.4% that renault lost from its original 43.4% is held in a french trust. It also says that this 28.4% stake that is held in a french trust will not be sold to any other outside investor unless renault wanted to. Meaning it is just a sham shake up. that "french trust" behind closed doors is most likely still controlled by the same frenchmen that control renault.
While it says that they now only have 15% voting rights to nissan it also says that it's previous 43.4% of voting power for nissan's board of directors won't be changed unless renault tells the "french trust" to sell the stake. meaning they still hold a majority of who runs nissan. Unless renault tells the french trust to sell the stake it will still hold that 28.4% forever. so in short nothing really changed.
This alliance is so heavily favored towards renault that the only reason why nissan hasn't already pulled out is because the board of directors of nissan are mostly voted by renault. Obviously the people they want to be on the board of nissan are the ones that won't dissolve this unfair and unequal alliance. Shame on Renault and shame on Nissan for not taking control and ending this sham alliance already.
Nissan was ruined when it joined Renault, it lost its soul and reliability.
ОтветитьWhat does struggling look like? When a Japanese auto manufacturer enters into a partnership with a French auto maker.
ОтветитьLegacy autos are slow to react to the changing market, I can’t see them lasting pass this decade
ОтветитьIn INDIA Nissan and Renault both are in a edge of an exit coz both brands car ain't selling much as they expected . Last launched new model is about a year ago
There mostly exporting manufactured car here than selling it here .
Renault and Nissan cars are ugly - that’s the main reason why they fall
ОтветитьAI voice here. WSJ not paying narrators now
ОтветитьThe Monday quarterbacks comment are hilarious! Funny how anything relating to cars triggers the „most brainy“ men! 😂😂😂
ОтветитьRenault should have killed Nissan brand and sack these unprofitable Nissan lines.
Ответитьnissan as a Japanese brand is known for reliability whereas renault reliability is not great I don't know where this alliance will go
ОтветитьAlways felt like Nissan was smothered by Renault and it’s Euro French aesthetic and business culture. Nissan will rise again, on its own!
ОтветитьIn South Africa, Nissan runs an under utilised manufacturing plant while Renault is selling lots and lots of imported models. If they can share plants and dealerships to reduce import duties and sales costs, they'd stand a chance against a wave of Chinese autos.
ОтветитьNissan deserves to go bankrupt.
ОтветитьDoomed from the start
ОтветитьLong Toyota
ОтветитьWithin 5 years, BYD or Geely will buy both of them out.
ОтветитьRenault join forces with Nissan
🇨🇵🤝🏻🇯🇵
What they're not mentioning is that the Japanese Government tried to force a Merger between Honda and Nissan in 2019. The Japanese Government offered Honda an interest-free loan to buy back Nissan shares from Renault. After three meetings with Nissan, Honda executives said they could NOT fix the internal problems at Nissan that would be left behind by Renault. Honda quickly ran from that negotiation.
ОтветитьNo survival, for both, without Ghosn.
ОтветитьYou're a wallstreet journalist and you don't even know how to pronounce Carlos Ghosn's name.
Ответить系列部品メーカーの惨状を鑑みると、終わりの始まりに見えてしまいました。
初期の日産に、親類が絡んでいるだけに、残念です😢
Nissan needs to consolidate with Japanese counterparts. Japan has too many car companies
ОтветитьHopefully Nissan’s build quality can recover after the departure of Renault.
ОтветитьIt's clearly Renault and Nissan lost their way after taking down Carlos Ghosn, the both CEOs cannot even make eyes contact..
ОтветитьNissan quality sure went downhill since the Renault partnership. Nissan used to make reliable vehicles, right up there with Toyota & Honda. Nowadays Nissans are absolute rubbish & as Scotty Kilmer would say, "Endless money pits as they age".

ОтветитьFinally time for Asians to be treated as equals and not as second hand citizens for another 20 years
ОтветитьI hope this will give more freedom to Nissan in Brazil. Renault sells a lot more here and Nissan is not among the major automakers.
Ответитьboth companies make rubbish cars.
ОтветитьThey need to keep up with Tesla
Ответитьhaah, vay cuoi cung thi cai vu lum xum kia ket qua the nao ha cac dong chi??
ОтветитьSweet divorce
Ответитьold saying in the car business about the French auto industry "they follow no one and no one follows them".....
ОтветитьI want new Nissan SUV 🔥
ОтветитьBoth car brands are not that desirable and don’t have strong brand awareness, they will we eventually fold. I guess in ten years time
ОтветитьThe Coup Detat against Carlos Gohn was successful. Now Nissan gets to regress into conservative old japanese business practices and maintain a domestic face.
ОтветитьNo mention of Mitsubishi motors in this video, even though the CEO, Takao Kato, was there in the press conference.
ОтветитьThis should have been resolved years ago, but better late than never. I'm happy that Nissan is finally getting more freedom, especially since they are larger than Renault as a whole globally and have a major presence in the US, where Renault has been absent for over 30 years, although Renault's Alpine brand is planning on coming to the US by 2027 or 2028. This will be a huge milestone as it will mark the first time an actual French car brand has sold cars in the US since Peugeot's exit in the early 90s. Hopefully, the Renault brand will return to the US as well.
ОтветитьAh yes, Renault and Nissan … so much to learn from each other’s dying businesses! 😂
ОтветитьGoing by the AMC-Renault partnership, so long Nissan.
ОтветитьThis "marriage" needs a divorce worse than mine ! 😂
ОтветитьJapanese cars stand for quality... For example Toyota pick up trucks... But french cars where always a joke in history 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьDidn’t they heard from consumers? Ditch the CVT and you’ll gain revenues again.
ОтветитьNissan car design is stale...
