My earpads are getting really hell of bad smell. How do i clean them. Tried on keeping under sunlight but it doesn't work. Anyone please share ideas...

Hey idk if you're replying to new comments but still I'll ask, what detergent should I use exactly? Will my normal handwash soap in the bathroom do? Or maybe a bar soap? Or the powdery stuff I use for washing clothes? I don't know/have any liquid detergent in my house I believe...

Remove the ear pads first by clipping them off then clean

How long does the headphones take to dry? Also something I did not see in this video was how to clean the ear pad (the part where you actually listen to)? Can the ear pad from the headphones be cleaned with a little soap and water using a ear wax removal WITHOUT having to remove the ear headset off? Not sure if i'm explaining myself right but it's something I'm really interested to know. Thanks in advance!

I'm use peroxide and towel dry mine Headphones . Alcohol will dry the pads right or wrong .

As well as cleaning regularly, remember to treat the leather pads with some mink oil, it have found that mink oil is the best as it does not leave any residue after it dries and is all absorbed and looks fresh clean and matte dry. Before mink oil i used vaseline which prevents cracks but makes the pads glossy and oily which means that the pads did not absorb it well. I have many headphones ranging from a couple of hundred dollars to a few thousands dollar ones. Some have protein vegan leather, some real lambskin leather. Cheap headphones like the Sony Xm5, they cracks, peel and even change colour if you just clean them with soap and water over time.

I just got a 2-3cm cut hair out of my ear canal now i want to know how to properly clean my headphones from hair. lol

is it risky to waer the xm4 during sport, because of the sweat?

Hi!! I recently got my xm5 in silver. I have semi permanent purple dye on my hair and it stained my headphones!! :(( i tried washing it with handsoap but the stain didnt budge. Can u suggest other methods on how i can eemove the stains? Thank you!!!
