This is my dream that I know in my heart will NEVER COME TRUE.
ОтветитьTJ Hunt brought me here
ОтветитьReally love the 355
Only drove it few time by chances, fell in love with the analog feel of 90s cars
Drove tons of 458 488, yet my heart always comes back to 355
If I manage to get a 355, its really good from the factory, but it doesn't hurt to slightly improve it , rebalance internals stronger lighter valves and other parts , basically putting new technologies into an old engine that unavailable back then , slightly raise the red line to 9200rpm , modern engine management system, fuel system, coil on plugs, head jobs, harmonics and maybe bump up the power touching 400hp , not a big fan of big power but sufficient power
The exterior is timeless, maybe some upgrades to led light to preserve the original body wiring harness , suspension brakes all slowly improve along the journey
My ultimate dream car
But don't forget there's another crazy f550 that worth some attention
The most beautifull Ferrari of all time and one of the most beautifull cars at all
ОтветитьUnless you're just saving it for someone else, enjoy it!!!
ОтветитьWhy call it a three fifty five? Why not call it a Ferrari Three hundred and fifty five? Or you could just call it by it's actual name; Ferrari F Three Five Five.
ОтветитьThe Ferrari F355 Challenge, Challenge EVO, and Fiorano Handling Pack were offered as a race ready cars, but were also street legal
Ответить❤
ОтветитьQuestion for those that actually know their shit, don’t people usually make it a big point to mount the harness bar like just below shoulder height? I’m not gonna question Ferrari or the people modifying them but why is the harness mount like well above the slots in the seat in this car? Genuinely curious
ОтветитьPERFETTA!
ОтветитьHow did Rob not know piston engines could rev that high, yah he’s a rotary dude but um ever heard of F1 engines Rob.
ОтветитьModern computer analogy is bad one. Modern computer is more sofisticated viruses, it can spy on you. Not good analogy.
ОтветитьToday, sport cars are a dime a dozen. Sub 3 seconds 0-60 is very crowded. What makes the 355 different is beauty.
Ответить"If they could they'd have the original air in the tires" haha! That one had me rolling.
ОтветитьThese episodes are way too short.
ОтветитьHow on earth did you manage to make it sound so bad ..... ?!
Ответить355 is newer version of farrii 308 gt
Ответитьwdym there is an F355 challenge stradale. They're super rare but still.
ОтветитьNicest sounding V8 they ever made
ОтветитьThank you Rob for that last message about saving the car for someone else, enjoy it! I have a 02 s2000 and it has 85k miles on it (put 20k on it myself) with 0 accidents. I recently hit a huge water puddle (ripped my bumper off but engine is fine) and didn't want to report to insurance. I think i will since my deductible is so cheap.
ОтветитьThere has been a very limited F355 Fiorano as a special edition. but with just improved handling performance and lower weight
ОтветитьThe irony of people wanting "a racecar version of the 355 for the road" and then demonstrating it... On a track.
I just can't get the point of these cars being advertised as "road cars!!?" They are incredibly stiff, noisy (inside), not that comfortable, and impossibly low sprung for bad (British) roads.
So.. Effectively they're track cars, then..? 🤷🏻♂️ It is bonkers that people buy these cars for road use! 🤦🏻♂️
The blue one sounds like a K series with head work and cams and a bit more complexity to me. Guess it makes sense as it's a similar flat plane double overhead cam engine design just two banks of cylinders instead of one
ОтветитьI saw this car in Miami yesterday. Beauty
Ответитьsounds like a Honda in a good way
ОтветитьIf I were ever to drive a classic Ferrari, it would have to be a 308. Ferrari refined and built on the formula over the years with the 512, the 348 (some people seem to hate that one for some reason), and the 355, but I like the original. A Testarossa is wild, but I'd be afraid to drive it the way prices are getting. A 308 can be had (relatively) inexpensive for a supercar.
ОтветитьIs it just me or does Rob have the body of a 60 year old woman.
ОтветитьThis is Top Gear US nowadays? I've seen a couple of clips of Top Gear US in the past, and though enjoyable, they couldn't match 'The Trio' from Top Gear UK (but who can?) Now Top Gear UK has Chris Harris and two guys who don't seem to speak English. So if this video is representative of Top Gear US, then I'd say Top Gear US > Top Gear UK 💪
ОтветитьThe 355 is one of my all time favorite cars. I fell in love with the thought of an 8500+ rpm redline and just imagined driving one. This matched my dream of what it would be like. Thanks Rob ✌
ОтветитьI love how he stated "the piston engines" lol good old (not so old) Rob Dahm.
then later the dude that owns the car says Dahm its loud huh, he hasn't met robs 4 rotor yet huh lol
Hmm. Ferrari owners seem like a boring lot. Just another reason to stay away. I’m much more in the Dahm mindset.
ОтветитьDidnt know piston engines (shows his love of rotaries)
ОтветитьYou must show us the F355Turbo FT from Anderson Dick (same fastest c8 vette), its so cool do watch How he did to save and push that stock 355 v8 up to 750whp
ОтветитьWhy is he saying piston engine?
ОтветитьI love Rob's contribution to Top Gear, I just wish that there were more shots with the car on the track, like Harris.
Ответитьyour totally correct if your going to keep it do it thats what i did to my 35 year old E30 325is made it drive so much better night and day difference i cant even compare how good it drives now dumping 7k of new parts only she"s little handling ground slut canyon hug makes me smile every time when i hear the cams headers wide pipes CAT back echoing in the mountains
Ответитьi really like rob being a part of top gear.
ОтветитьFunny how Ferrari makes cars to be driven and raced yet they get sold to people who can afford full time drivers and can't afford to take time to drive.
ОтветитьF355 has to go down as one of the greatest. The noise, manual gearbox. Never to be repeated.
ОтветитьThis is the Top Gear evolution I can get behind. No - you''re not the same without "The Trio" - but being a long-time Top Gear fan, I can fully appreciate what you are doing with THESE specific videos. The presenter, the people, the cars - TG is reborn and it's brilliant.
Ответитьrob is cool
ОтветитьThe E92 M3 oil changes cost $1200. Kinda expensive.
ОтветитьHope to see more seasons with Rob hosting
ОтветитьI’d like to see it go against a Tesla Plaid which does 0-60 in 2.1 sec, qtr mile in 9.4 sec at 151 mph.
Ответить90% of comments about Rob - 10% about the 355 ;-)
ОтветитьThis series is amazing, really car lovers videos.
Ответитьferrari turbo anderson fueltech!
ОтветитьHey Ron where’s that 4 rotor
Ответить
