The Yankees ones don’t count cause they cheated
ОтветитьAs an occasional baseball viewer surely a ‘perfect game’ should be 27 outs by strikeout? No balls etc. It’s not ‘perfect’ if your throwing balls and people are getting caught out or run out. Is a ‘no hitter’ not ironic if they are out with big fly balls to centre field. You have the irony of o pitcher pitching a ‘no hitter’ whilst the batters hit the ball 20 times.
ОтветитьMy favorite is Matt Cain's for the Giants on 6/13/12. I wasn't there but I watched it on TV...I have a Blu-Ray of it that was included in the Official World Series Collection produced by MLB after Giants won the Series. It's a very awesome thing to have. It's in HD (of course because it's a Blu-Ray) so it looks fresh like it just happened. It retains the picture quality flawlessly. One thing I remember is the score was 10-0. The greatest margin of victory for a perfect game.
ОтветитьArmando Galaraga should be on this list in every aspect of the game he was PERFECT. Lazy umps are out of his control
ОтветитьAnd Armando Galarraga
ОтветитьWhat I love about this video is that this is by no means a collection of the greatest pitchers of all time. Sure some of the Pitching greats like Johnson appear on this list, but its not all of them. The most legendary performances in baseball don't always get put on by the best players, and that's what makes it beautiful.
ОтветитьWas at the Dennis Martinez perfect game ..left early..ah L.A.fans😂
ОтветитьNot a Mariners fan but I get chills watching Felix Hernandez every time. The celebration, the call, everything about it was perfect.
ОтветитьMost unbelievable part of this video is seeing Randy Johnson smile
Ответитьmy dad was at that game in 56. it was on a monday...at that time he was spending about as much time at the ballpark as he was in school. a decade and some change later he was in vietnam attached to a commo company augmenting the first signal bde. idiot officer is a yankee fan and they got to know each other very well having both been at that perfect game. same officer sent my pops to command HQ for a briefing and my pops missed the tet offensive. calls himself a lucky SOB
ОтветитьAt least three are former Jays.
ОтветитьThe only one that matters is may 18 2004
ОтветитьYour graphic is covering a third of the screen. WTH?
ОтветитьThat was a lot of fun to watch!
ОтветитьPhilip Humber definitely walked that guy
ОтветитьArmando Galarraga was robbed.
ОтветитьI was at the White Sox and Rays game. I wasn't big into sports so I didn't realize just how amazing of an achievement it was at the time. Looking back, I can finally appreciate it.
Ответитьto see the most dominant pitcher of his era and seen on free cable was awesome to see Randy Johnson's perfect game
ОтветитьThere were four perfect games in 2012? Wow.
ОтветитьBaseball is the most wonderfully boring game there is. The fact no clock is required tells you ALL you need to know about the sport. Eighteen players decide when the game is over, no time piece.
Ответитьcrazy that David Wells was a crazy alcoholic too, he was likely still tipsy or hungover during that game.
ОтветитьI don’t know anything about Brendan Ryan, but for a batter to argue to an ump about his check-swing when he’s the last out during a potential perfect game and his team is down by four runs, is just low-class sportsmanship. Add onto the fact that he CLEARLY swung (when you look at the replay and many images out there now), and he’s an even bigger toolbag. 👎🏻
ОтветитьFunny thing: Since the start of the 1998 season, there's been 10 perfect games. Three of them were thrown AGAINST the Rays. That has to sting a bit as an organization.
ОтветитьI was at Mark Buehrle's perfect game, easily one of the most amazing experiences I've had in my entire life!!
Ответитьlicking
ОтветитьThe only things in life that are certain are death, taxes and Galarraga threw a perfect game, I am still inspired by how he handled that in the moment.
ОтветитьWhether home or away, that last half inning, every one is pulling for ya.
ОтветитьSo, no Fernando Valenzuela on this one?
ОтветитьToo bad we never saw Nolan Ryan, Greg Maddux, or Tom Glavine pitch perfect games. Randy Johnson is one of the greatest pitchers and managed to get a perfect game.
ОтветитьHow about the twelve inning perfect game Harvey Haddix pitched 36 up and 36 down .
ОтветитьI was at Beanie Baby Day @ Yankee Stadium in May 1998.. Witnessed David Wells perfect game at age 12
ОтветитьBunning — a great ball player, but a horrible person.
ОтветитьEl Presidente, El perfecto !
ОтветитьI know nothing about baseball but to see the elation of each pitchers team mates at the end is genuinely beautiful
ОтветитьI watched Matt Cain's perfect game. I called my son in to witness it. He wasn't impressed until he found out it was the first one in SF Giants history
ОтветитьApril 21, 1984: David Palmer throws five perfect innings in Expos’ rain-shortened win
ОтветитьThe first one sounds just like Nintendo’s Mike Tyson’s Punch out.
ОтветитьArmando Galarraga was a perfect game.
ОтветитьDale Mitchell didn't go. Like at all
ОтветитьSo not every perfect game at the time of this video I guess.
ОтветитьR.I.P. Tom Browning 2024
ОтветитьRandy only ever throws Bird-Hitters and nothing else can hit those balls
ОтветитьYou lost me with Mile(Mike) Witt.
ОтветитьThe Rays are always on the wrong side of Perfect Games😂
ОтветитьKoufax perfect game in 1965. The only game in baseball history where both teams combined for only one hit and two baserunners !
ОтветитьWhat about Doc Ellis
Ответить
