101 Video Games That Everyone Should Play At Least Once

REMINDER: This is not a definitive list of the best video games ever made but rather our personal picks for titles we reckon you NEED to play, and as such is in *no particular order*. These games have been selected with availability in mind, so a title won't make the cut if you can't easily get your hands on it today! OH, and Marvel's Spider-Man is coming to PC on August 12th & Persona 5 Royal is coming to Xbox Series/Nintendo Switch on October 21st (recent announcements).

Lol peter narration voice is something else. Its like the gayest posh ive ever heard and his constant switch from normal tone to deep vocal fry while still saying the same word is wild. He sounds a bit like a car trying to start sometimes

I wouldn't consider wow or really any mmo on this list
Yea you can still play them
But the game i played is no longer the game that you get
And similar to emulation the only way you can play it that was in privet servers

You didn't mention the endless possibilities of modded Minecraft... some of the modpacks out there are truly game changing.

Oblivion is available on ps3 though. I know not current gen but still.

If the game is good, it's worth getting the hardware to play it. And besides, you recommended pokemon yellow...... so good luck playing that on modern hardware!

You are kidding me right now. You guys chose fallout 3 over new Vegas…

For mmo rpg's I would highly recommend final fantasy 14 for a few reasons one being the story and the other being that square enix allows you to play the first 3 expansions for free and trust me there is a lot to do in this game as you can play all the classes on one character and they are working on keeping the open world active with systems they added in the last expansion and yes it may sound like I am simping for a company I have loved since the 1980's but trust me giving this game a try is well worth it even if it is for the story.

Just found Dark Souls in a pile of 360 games left to me by my son. Installed it on my super nice new Xbox x mycwife git me, thank you babe. This old ass 2011(i think) game pretty much solidified my choices. I been looking st Starfeild, it was on ky Xbox packaging so naturally i got interested. Anyway Dark Souls, at first was frustrating but then once i beat thst first Fat ass boss, i felt soooo awesome. Niw here comes this Elden Ring game it looks beautiful. Im gonna go order now.

You lost me at Last of Us 2. Any game that butchers is characters to shoehorn it's way through the game isn't worth even looking at.

its depressing people always bring up wow over GUILD WARS 2 easily more superior in every way and has been going strong for 11 years with improvements every content drop unlike wow that just pisses its player base off also you know how WoW servers go down for maintenance? well in the 11 years GW2 has ran the servers have only been unplayable 4 times thanks to their server infrastructure

This list screams "I started playing video games in 2014." So much disposable garbage from the 2010s (Dad of Boy? Detroit Become Human? Last of Us 2? Are you high?), so little respect for games that were actually good or matter beyond the year they were released. Any random game from 2001 to 2004 stands a good chance of running circles around 90% of this list.

I don't wanna sound like a hater, but wtf is with this list? Yeah, there are great games, of course, but how can you NOT include all-time classic titles like Tomb Raider, Prince of Persia, Diablo, Street Fighter.. damn,even Crysis 1 was a revolution of it's own. I'm sure I'm forgetting other titles too, but I'm just making a point. I fully understand this is your team's list, however given the list you provided and the genres covered - I am baffled how such classics were not included.

been playing videogames since another world, tenchu, syphon filter, MGS... videogames are nice when they push the limits... i don't understand how one would enjoy these decade old games since they were beautiful at their time...

I didn't like the call of duty games. They were almost on rails in single player. And in multiplayer you could get shot not knowing where it came from. Give me Quake 3 arena and i beat my son at it. I love goldeneye on n64 but when they released it on ps3 i felt the call of duty vibe. Not good. I love what most people don't. What do i love? Deadly premonition, Zelda, Silent Hill, FF7, Tomb Raider, Resident Evil and Metroid. Also Mario Party 9 with my son.
