I use Affinity Photo to edit. Only a 1 pay and you have all access for the tools. Any more monthly payments.
ОтветитьThe fact you cannot download figma, its a no for me
ОтветитьDoes the keyboard have shut off switch for the mouse?
ОтветитьWhat’s the difference with the camera between the MacBook and iPad Pro for video calls
Ответитьcant do shit on an ipad and im not tryna be an ipad kid lol
ОтветитьI think an important point that many comparison videos fail to mention for us regular folks is that there are no streaming apps made for MacBook Air except maybe one. So if you are looking for a device that you can use to download shows/movies for a long trip, the iPad is the better option. MacBook Air can do it through third party workarounds I believe, but there’s no native convenient method.
ОтветитьYou examples is boring. Do you really think editors and video editors is your majority viewer. Get better examples
ОтветитьYou‘re overrating ipad capabilities for designing. Don’t get me wrong I love doing design stuff on my ipad pro apps such as procreate or Artstudio pro. But many times you can do 90 percent of the work on ipad. For the last 10 percent ‚ the finishing part let‘s say, you‘ll need a pc or mac photoshop for sure. Plus brush engine is a little bit different on ios and you can‘t have some of the great photoshop brush aspects on any ipad painting apps, even when you import the exact same brush from computer to ipad.
ОтветитьI think Apple just doesn’t want to give too many features on iPadOS or open it too much because then people won’t by macbook (air). Obviously Apple would like you to buy both.
ОтветитьLove the ipad pro, does it replace windows? HELL NO.
ОтветитьIs that 11inch or 12,9inch
ОтветитьWatched over 10 videos but this was the best comparison video for Ipad Pro vs MacBook Air. Great presentation
ОтветитьAs a student who is need of a device that can do all office apps flawlessly and I’m really looking into light coding/web development… so which one should I chose?
ОтветитьDon’t buy the iPad Pro is shit
ОтветитьIf an iPad could replace a Mac then what would you need a Mac for. Apple can sell both products to the same buyers why would they want to interrupt that?
I am an iPad fan i use a desktop computer or an iPad. However, I haven't updated my iPad since 2015 but I will be getting the 2024 iPad no matter what they make.
Always the "dont make a mistake"
ОтветитьUnfortunately Apple will never unleash the hardware power of the iPad with the right OS because it would mean less Mac sales. It will remain as a tablet forever.
Ответитьbut what I don't get is why do people think the iPad Pros are any good for students. I'm a student and I'm almost done with the first part of my uni career, I've had two part-time jobs for a whole year and I kept one and I've never had 2k to throw at an iPad Pro 13". In Italy that's how much it costs... 1.5k for the device and if you add Pencil and Keyboard you get a 2k price tag that makes legit no sense. Even in the US the whole combo is like 1.5k am I wrong? For that price you can buy an M1 MB Pro refurbished or even new for a lil bit more. I just don't get it guys (and this is coming from an iPad Pro 11" user that had to buy a MB Air a few months after getting the iPad). If the OS was like... just better and not a pile of garbage I'd get it, but for a glorified note-taking piece of tech it's insane to spend that much. Maybe you guys have a different perspective on this, Idk
ОтветитьThanks for including figma but next time add MS office as well
ОтветитьAn iPad isn’t a MacBook replacement! I let the reviews convince me it could be just by attaching a keyboard. I’m now spending more money to get a MacBook Air. Until they put Mac OS on iPads, just no!
ОтветитьI am a user of both MBP 14 and iPad pro 11. As iPad progresses, I think of using iPad only. But I still cannot for TWO reasons.
1) Camera position
It should be considered for users with Magic Keyboard.
2) Function key
Magic keyboard is amazing with control smoothness and typing experience. But importance of physical F key was obvious when MBP 2016 emerged.
for my needs, the macbook fulfills more, but the ipad really makes it truly complete
ОтветитьI started using iPad Air 2 - 128 GB WiFi only with a Bluetooth Keyboard and upgraded to iPad Pro 11" 256GB with SmartKeyboard 18 months before. I find that iPad cannot replace a Laptop fully.
Plus:-
1. Portable
2. Super Display & Long Battery
3. Great for Browsing, eMail, Reading, Meetings, Media Consumption & Word Processing
Negative
1. Not great with Excel Workings
2. Not fit for Data Processing & Data Analysis
3. No proper Opensource Solutions
Overall 6/10 for productivity & for academic needs 8/10
Sup w the Dahmer glasses
ОтветитьBut the iPad Pro has two cameras and a flash the MacBook Air doesn’t even have cameras or a flash
ОтветитьWhy is the multitasking interface so different from the ipad OS that I use? I don’t see any window expansion point in the right bottom corner in my ipad.
ОтветитьI always took it as the iPad is not a laptop it is a tablet so therefor I have both a laptop and a tablet. Each serve different purposes.
ОтветитьInstead of the Apple Keyboard, I suggest the Logitech case/keyboard. Reasons: 1- Protects the iPad much better, 2- Has Function keys, 3- About 100 bucks cheaper. It is so good that Apple sells it in their Apple stores. Logitech's customer support has always been excellent in my experience. I also use the Logitech MX Anywhere 3 mouse.
Ответитьnice
ОтветитьIpad plus AI TECHNOLOGY IS THE BEST FOR FUTURE
ОтветитьI have too many MacOS specific apps that I use daily that just can’t run on iPadOS, nor are there any alternatives for them.
ОтветитьBecause you had to ask...you wouldn't understand the answer. Typical millennial looking for attention for the sake of attention. STFU and do something productive.
ОтветитьCan i use ipad for power point, excell and microsoft word to replace laptop?
ОтветитьNice video, maybe an actualization is necessary with the new features in iPadOS. Every actualization the iPad reduce the breach with the MacBook, More and more the iPad does more things like a laptop, but the laptop I have never done things similar to those of the iPad. I’m a user of a MacBook Pro, but I have less and less need to resort to it because on the iPad I’m being a more productive day
ОтветитьI love your work man!
Ответитьits mostly to do with if you need macOS, want a large screen, or are a power user
Ответитьill tell you a simple fact a tablet of any kind can not replace a laptop just like a phone cannot replace a laptop
ОтветитьThe fact that the iOS/iPad os is only platform that allow me to connect work stuff already makes macbook or PCs useless.
ОтветитьGreat video, Display is great and dongle is definitely necessary for additional I/O. But you can’t format external drives or use compression/zip in the files app… The third party apps are meh… And the subscription third party files app on the store is mega cringe… For your Google Docs comparison, Mac does not have an App, only the web. The fact you can do both app and web Google Docs with full functionality on the web makes it actually better than the Mac in that aspect. Also gaming on the M2 iPad is incredible with the right games/ps4 controller. I truly hope we get some of those PC ports Mac is getting on the M2 iPad. That would be a real game changer.
Finally, the Pro Apps. It is honestly disturbing how they are adapting the subscription model. The Pro apps are supposed to be one of the main converters to iPad Pro. I am thankful for DaVinci Resolve at least, however the performance is definitely not optimized… I am hopeful though which is why I invested in an iPad Pro M2 to replace my MacBook Pro 2013… It has been a long time coming.
Is the Macbook Air also touch-screen ? I genuinely don’t know. I could look it up, but I’ll just ask here instead ?
ОтветитьOnly dumb and naive people will tell you that iPad is better and faster for video editing and bluh-bluh-bluh😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂. Even 3rd grader knows that there is no comparison looooool. Hahahaha!!!! Last time I laugh like that were looooooong time ago😂😂😂😂😂😂😂👀👀👀
Ответить*edit photos : how if exporting 1000 photo on iPad?
ОтветитьI have both and I love them both. The iPad if the future, no doubt.
ОтветитьI use the iPad Pro (or any iPad I've owned) as a complimentary device to my Mac. I used to have a 15-inch Mactel MBP as my everything machine, but needs change over time. I still have a 13-inch Mactel MBP that I barely use, but I keep it around just in case. This brings me to my current set up. I use a Mac Mini for my main computing and an 11-inch iPad Pro to compliment it. I've found that this is the best set up for me, at least for now. Am I a "pro" user? Not by any stretch of the imagination. So why use an iPad Pro? Because I like it.
Ответитьis the screen quality on the 12.9 m2 worth trading my m2 15inch MacBook Air for? or should I just stick with the 15 inch air?
ОтветитьAs a an engineering student using the iPad, my answer is no! it’s not a replacement for the mac, not even close.
ОтветитьOlder video as they JUST released the 15'' MacBook air and with the same base line specs as the 12.9'' iPad pro + keyboard and Pencil it's pretty much the same price. You get MUCH longer battery life and a slightly larger screen. I was just at an Apple store and looked at each side by side and although I was REALLY impressed with the looks of the new Air.... I kept going back to the iPad pro for how immersive it was. I mainly want to upgrade from a 7 year old PC to edit RAW photos and 4k video for family trips and some small personal and client projects. I am NOT a content creator nor do I NEED MS word... as I just use google docs and am happy with that. The new air was really nice but it still has a large 15'' footprint where as the 12.9'' iPad seemed way more portable.
TWO totally different systems and experiences and I think if you are doing a TON of typing ect... a more traditional laptop is the winner here. If you work in photos and want a more immersive experience than an iPad is better suited. The Air gets I think I saw 18 Hours of battery life while the 12.9'' iPad is at about 10. Huge difference however I don't ever see myself needing 18 hours when I can just plug it in when I'm not using it or always have it at 100% when I'm ready to use it.
I just want to say THANK YOU for making this video!! I didn’t think anyone would put these to against each other and you had exactly what I was looking for; definitely subscribed
ОтветитьI MUST KNOW IS THE IPAD PRO MK2 GOOD FOR DESIGN AND PHOTOSHOP
