Now my biggest vid, nice!
Wonder what I should do with my channel long term….
My grapeshot does not care under which flag it fires
ОтветитьHe fought in the rain and he fought in the sun and he fought in the moonlight too
He fought with his knife and he fought with his gun and he fought till his blood ran through
Well John Paul Jones was a fightin' man, a fightin' man was he
He sailed to the east and he sailed to the west and he helped set America free.
Sadly he was just a peadophile, so, that's kinda unfortunate.
ОтветитьJohn Paul Jones is a hero, but this is- sadly- from the perspective of the Brits.
ОтветитьIt just occurred to me that the whole “set feet, row” thing is because this song is being sung by british survivors rowing a lifeboat after their ship was sunk by John Paul Jones
ОтветитьDue to the title I'm imagining JPJ and his crew are singing this to mock the British
ОтветитьTally Ho, Lads.
ОтветитьA fine sailor and captain, Jones. Shame he was a pedophile and child rapist
ОтветитьLol fucking send it
ОтветитьJPJ has a personal deal with Davie Jones. JPJ sends him some limeys, and Davie Jones escorts his rowboat to safety
ОтветитьIf you want to fade in and out without layers appearing transparent, place an entire black box over the video and fade it out when you want to fade IN, that way you don't get the background clipping through the dude xD
ОтветитьThis song is a great example of the fuck around and find out song.
ОтветитьAnother beautiful track to add to the Commandeering of interactive digital media playlist
ОтветитьNow take Sir Francis Drake, the Spanish all despise him,
But to the British he's a hero, and they idolize him!
isnt he the lez zeppelin basist
ОтветитьI used to sing this ironicly but after hearing what he did to a russian child I dont know any more
ОтветитьThis man was incredibly smart, deadly and pretty much carried the entire newborn US navy.
ОтветитьJohn Paul Jones was playing GTA 1776 and everyone else was an NPC
ОтветитьBetter to be a pirate than to sail for the crown
ОтветитьWhen the lyrics say that he went to sail in the Russian navy because the Russian queen pays better, the real reason is that Congress disbanded the navy after the revolution ended, so he had to go somewhere else to be a bad-ass sea captain. I’m honestly surprised the British didn’t hire him. He probably had the respect of more than a few of the officers he beat
ОтветитьJohn Paul Jones is the kinda guy who would've heard this song and sung it ironically just to take the wind out of his detractors' sails (pun intended)
Ответитьmore like a naval mercenary
ОтветитьHe was British navy killed a member of his crew then changed his name to jpj and became the first us Navy captain
ОтветитьI think its a bigger honor that enemys remember you in song than it is your own fleet. I think JPJ would have loved this more?
ОтветитьThe duel between Bonhomme Richard and Serapis was just epic literally to the bitter end and of course “I have not yet begun to fight” came from it
ОтветитьGod save the queen more like god save us please
ОтветитьTBF this could actually work if you consider the following plan or some form of it:
Step 1: Row up to the stern of a 1st rate in the dead of night.
Step 2: Push back one of the cannons and slip in the gunport.
Step 3: Creep past the MANY crewmen sleeping and dodge any patrols or watchmen.
Step 4: Find a magazine. The 1st rate is so big that it probably has a few across the ship to help with loading.
Step 5: Get into the magazine, possibly by sneaking aboard the night before a battle since it's likely the doors will be unlocked, if not open.
Step 6: use a powder horn you hid in your coat, or one left out for quick use, to lay a decent trail out the door and back the way you came.
Step 7: check to make sure your rowboat is secure by grappling hook and you have as straight a run to it as you can.
Step 8: light the powder trail and run like hell to the boat.
Step 9: detach and row either as far as you can get or behjnd the nearest ship of decent size. Plug your ears and lie down in the bottom of your craft.
Step 10: when the magazine goes off, and it probably will, use the chaos it causes to try and escape. It may serve you to pull your bkat along the hull of the ship you used as cover and leave to their stern as well.
Step 11: sit at a good distance out of range, laugh like the sneaky bastard you are, uncork a bottle of grog, toast the flames, and then get back to rowing to safety.
Imagine being the 4th Earl of Selkirk and come home to see all your coal and silverware gone and then get told by your wife that a bunch of sailors led by an American fucking pirate just tried to kidnap you then your seven year old child due to your absence
ОтветитьTfw you're a pre-teen girl and the Captain has you in his sights
ОтветитьNow i cant unhear john paul jones NOT sounding like demoman from tf2 screaming hell no, i hav yet to behin to fight ya small peckered pricks, then Light up a galleon with a fucking rowboat
Ответитьjust don't ask him what he did in April 1789
ОтветитьFrom Morison's John Paul Jones: A Sailor's Biography:
"During the first week of April 1789, all St. Petersburg was startled, amused, or outraged by a report of the chief of police that Rear Admiral Paul Jones had attempted to r**e a ten-year-old girl named Katerina, daughter of a German immigrant named Goltzwart or Koltzwarthen, who had a dairy business in a nearby suburb."
Her name was actually Katerina Stepanova
Sink a first rate ship?.............I THINK YOU MEAN CAPTURED
ОтветитьJohn Paul Jones: Ight Parry This Ya English Swine
ОтветитьWhat a legend, rest in peace John Paul Jones. We will carry on your legacy
Ответитьheh where is the backgroune audio from
ОтветитьI like this 🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️🏴☠️
ОтветитьBrits: "John Paul Jones is a Pirate!"
Americans: "Yeah and he's badass!"
Brits: "I made this song called Yankee Doodle to make fun of you!"
Americans: "I like it! Thanks!"
Brits: "You're just a bunch of savages! We beat Napoleon!"
Americans: "We fired once more and they began a-running down to the Gulf of Mexico!~🎶"
British Captain: Your ship is on fire, it’s going to sink. Surrender!
John Paul Jones: I have yet begun to fight!

ОтветитьThis song is a legend
Ответить🇺🇲😎😭🇬🇧
ОтветитьAttacking Whitehaven with the plan of burning civilian merchant and coal vessels numbering in their hundreds, at that, I can call him a pirate.
For his attack and capture of the HMS Drake, a ship that served in the Americas during the revolution thus a legitimate military target, I can call him an Officer of the United States Navy.
Both a pirate and a proper captain, in the end he redeemed himself but I think the pirate nickname is absolutely deserved considering his fondness for going after merchant ships and going all the way to the British Isles to engage the enemy. Instead of sticking around the Americas and defending the United States, stopping invasions, instead of starting them...
I love how salty the British were that they kept losing to John Paul Jones and wrote thing song about him and now Americans love the song and the British are trying to forget

Saludos desde Chile 🇨🇱
That’s got to be the best pirate I’ve ever seen
ОтветитьSo what is the background chorus saying? I try to listen over and over but I don't know if they are saying "Seth thee row" or "Send he ho" 🤔
