wow completely missed the entire point of the video, how am i meant to find my project directory to add the images to the source repository????

For me it wasn't working but my solution was to open the folder, click on view on the toolbar, and click 'file name extensions'. Without this checked, I was naming my files img.jpg but the computer was then adding the extension itself, resulting in img.jpg.jpg, leading to the image being read by the html code incorrectly. Hope this helps somebody reading if this is the issue.
