Basic and Reliable are the Features that I want most in a New Vehicle. All the Extra Bells and Whistles add weight that degrades the Performance and Fuel Economy and adds something else to break.
ОтветитьExcellent Review of many SUV's. Is there any options without a Infotainment System? In my opinion the best Infotainment System is not to have one. I do not want this in my Automobile. I would like a Physical buttons, knobs, switches, a Key, Manual Parking Break, not an Electric Parking Break. Basic things like a Dipstick so I can check my Engine Oil and complete some Maintenance for example. The more bells and whistles that are on a Vehicle means the more there is to break. Also, a Fully Digital Instrument Panel is something that I can do without as well. I am not a fan of these bright Displays shinning in my face. If the Vehicle was lighter in Weight. 200HP and lower would be more than enough. One would have a better Power to Wight in the Vehicle did not weigh as much. A Manual Transmission option would be nice as well.
ОтветитьToyota Rav4 is KING in this segment. Everything about the Rav4 .. functional
ОтветитьExcellent Video
Ответитьwhere is Chevy Equinox?
ОтветитьWhat about reliability? It’s usually one of the most important criteria for most buyers. Rav4 will probably outlast all those cars based on Toyota’s reputation.
ОтветитьJust bought a 2024 Tucson Limited with the 2.5. It has more than enough power to merge safely and keep up with traffic on Florida's I-95, which is like a racetrack most if the time. I traded in a Subaru Legacy Touring XT for it so I understand what a quick car is. I also test drove the stand engine version of every car in this test. The Tucson is right in there with them accrleration-wise. I don't understand all these reviewers moving about how slow it is. It's not. It's class average. It's also a great value.
ОтветитьStrange you don't really talk about drivetrain,CVT excessive failures in Nissan's,crvs, and Honda oil dilution in Honda turbo chgd 1.5 liter fit engines.mazda is a cut above staying with proven drivetrains that are rock solid.Slso Mazda has a superior AWD drive system comparable to subaru
ОтветитьReal world mpg tests on the tucson and cx5 are higher than reported.
ОтветитьMy choice is the CR-V. Really my favorite
ОтветитьCX-5 IS A TOUCH SCREEN IF YOU TAKE THE TIME TO DO IT IN THE MENU ....EDMUNDS SHOULD KNOW THIS , I'M EMBARASSED FOR YOU , AND SO SICK OF ALL YOU REVIEWERS SAYING THE SAME AS EDMUNDS ...SOME GET IT RIGHT AND EVEN SHOW YOU HOW TO DO IT ....10 things Mazda does not want you to know ....that is a site to show you how to do it , then maybe we don't have to hear Edmunds get it wrong again.
ОтветитьNot sure why Mazda's mpg listed so low. I own a CX-50. My mpg has been 26/32 average about 28 consistently.
Ответитьno contest its hyundai tucson the SUV of the year!!!! im happ y i am tucson owner! hyundai is the most high technology all of this car
ОтветитьLove that the CR-V won this! However, has the oil dilution problem been sorted? Are there any users of the latest CRVs having the problem?
ОтветитьWinner winner rav4 dinner
ОтветитьCrappy CVT gear box should exclude any SUV with that sh...it!!!!!
ОтветитьMazda CX-5 for me all day everyday
ОтветитьCx5 easily in the luxury category. Now do the cx30
Ответитьif u care about performance dont buy a compact suv in the first place. nissan rogue 3 cylinder is the best.
ОтветитьOnly Rav4
Ответитьso hard to pick one, they all suck
ОтветитьThe cargo space shouldn't even be a selling point on these crossovers.
Its not that big of a difference.
Shoe box size difference.
Id still take the Rav4. Not just because I own one either. To me it has the best looks. Its the best all around..room..tech...performance...etc.
Add to that the fact that the Rav4 will outlast every one of these by years and have a much lower cost of ownership and better resale value....id definitely stick with the Rav. Theres a reason its by far the best seller.
Notice how there aren't any American suv's here, they can't compete lol
ОтветитьGo Japanese! You'll never regret!
Ответить"adventure"
ОтветитьI can definitely confirm that the new 1.5 turbo in the Rogue is anything but sluggish.
ОтветитьI feel like Honda needs to upgrade their tech side
ОтветитьI am very confused why most people recommend cx-5 if you read the comments while in real life its sales is less than half of CRV...can someone tell me why?
Ответитьnone of these are small SUVs -- then again, you are American
ОтветитьIf you care at all about resale value after 3 to 5 years there’s only two choices: CRV or RAV4; the other choices will be worth half of these two.
ОтветитьI bought a new 2021 CX-5 Touring AWD (not turbo). Most of the time I can get at least 30 MPG combined. Maybe because it's mostly flat. The Touring is on the less expensive end of CX-5's, yet everyone comments about how plush and sturdy it is. The cargo hold is smaller than most compact SUV's, but it's serviceable. No one vehicle can be the best in every metric. The CX-5 IS fun to drive. LOVE the 6-speed. Zoom zoom...
ОтветитьHow is crv number1 😬😬😬…
ОтветитьThey chose the CRV cause it’s Hybrid 😂 Mazda is obviously the winner because it’s the most luxurious
ОтветитьToyota wins for me as it's just dead simple. Especially the screen. Unless it's a Tesla with a huge investment in the screen to make it actually functional, I would take well-designed physical buttons any day.
The Honda CRV by contrast is just terrible.
ROGUE For Sure❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
ОтветитьA recent shopper here. We test drove the Subaru Forester Touring, Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk, and Mazda CX-5.
Forester was nice and roomy, ok on driving dynamics, great windows for minimal blind spots. I hate how busy it is between the dash and center console, there is way too much going on. Also wasn't a fan of their infotainment interface.
The Cherokee felt good, I come from a Compass and Wrangler so it all felt familiar. A bit cramped inside though, especially with a pano sunroof. Biggest downer was price as she was the more expensive of the bunch.
CX-5 GT, driving her felt good. Infotainment system will take some getting use to, but my previous cars never had them. Spacious enough for my family. Love the quality interior feel. Doesn't break the bank too badly. And this is what we ordered.
Not a single word about the c*** cvt transmissions. Nissan is known for having extremely bad transmissions and Toyota has the only launch gear for the CVT transmission which is a great idea it takes stress off the transmission. Whether the red 4 hazard or not I don't know. So when it comes to the CRV give me a free 2015 without the cvt transmission.
ОтветитьI wonder who pays all these guys for these reviews! If you watch 10 different reviews, you'll get 10 different answers... lol I do think all of the reviews are very informative & love listening to their opinions, but it is their opinion! In my opinion, I listen to all the reviews, then go take a look at your 2 to 3 most likables and make your own choice. Some folks are inclined to always stick with one auto maker such as Toyota, Mercedes, Cadillac, ect. Very devoted people such as some who will never own anything but an Apple phone! This year with the "newly designed" Hyundai Tucson, I drove it & deemed it the best out of the Rav4 & Kia Sportage, I had thought about getting a hybrid but the gas mileage for the Tucson FWR is at 33 mpg's. (If you think the hybrid is for you, do your, research cost of the hybrid & battery, maintenance, insurance, etc. ) Sure the Tucson is not going to blow anyone off the block as far as speed but it's just what I was looking for. Not a boxy SUV, more luxurious SUV, more bells & whistle than others have to offer for the value, awesome warranty, better technology. Anyway, good luck to you all to find the SUV that is the right one for you! After all we are all different!
ОтветитьThese cars must have different names in the US to the UK? Nissan Rogue for instance.
ОтветитьWhat? You left the awesome Forester out?! Shame on you..
ОтветитьHad the tucson a powerful turbo engine I would pick tht only for sure !!!!!!!
ОтветитьI just bought a 22 Mazda carbon edition..I'm in love ..sorry Honda ..but the cvt has to go ..zoom zoom ..
ОтветитьThe CX-5 and Tuscon are probably the two best small crossovers on the market right now. I think the CX-5 is better than the Tuscon because of the powertrain, but they’re both very nice
ОтветитьCRV best choice.
ОтветитьCRV > 🗺
ОтветитьWhat they NEVER show is how well any vehicle holds up after 5-10 years.
I doubt most of these vehicles would not even be on the road in 10 years.
A lot of people do purchase vehicles to last a long time.
This is why I only purchase Toyota anymore.
We have two Toyota's today and one on order.
The two we own now are long in the tooth but still run fine.
A 2007 Camry XLE and a 2012 Tacoma.
The reason we are purchasing a new Toyota is for the Safety Features and of course the Reliability.
I test drove almost all of the cars featured here and it wasn’t even close. The CX5 obliterates the competition. The only thing that comes close is something by Audi or BMW. Specifically I purchased the 2022 CX5 Signature. The Turbo was irresistible.
ОтветитьAm always nice to my mom
