Magic, simply magic. Thank you for this brilliant video.
ОтветитьAwesome video!!! I loved it. Good research and info on one of the cars that caught my teenage dreams.
ОтветитьI am one of the proud owner of EVO II in 1/18 scale.
ОтветитьW201 is finally catching on as a timeless classic. I bought my 2.5 diesel for a bargain an have 55,000 miles put on it so far.
ОтветитьI loved this video!! I actually have 1:87th scale models of 190E 2.3-16, the 190E 2.5-16 Evo 1 & the 190E 2.5-16 Evo 2 in street form as well as several DTM racing cars. I’d love to share them with you!!
ОтветитьI’ll take the w204 C63 over any other Mercedes. Beautiful car tho
Ответитьnowadays a half a million euro car.
ОтветитьWow I never knew a w201 190e hatchback ever existed lol 😆
ОтветитьBenz 190e- Divad
Please go listen
Amazing video, thanks for sharing! Will Derek ever own this car?? I hope so!
ОтветитьThe nail-polished female's hands and then the emerging blond, simply does not go with this car. What gives? 🤔
Oh wait I get it, that's Jason Cammisa!! 😂
Benz is the greatest....🇯🇲
ОтветитьThat body style has aged very, very well.
ОтветитьBeauty
ОтветитьI thoroughly enjoyed this video, but question how the the 190E at 178 inches in length is "3 inches shorter than a modern Fiesta" I own a 2018 US Spec Fiesta ST 5 door which measures 160 inches.....what am I missing here?
ОтветитьThis car approaches RS2 Avant levels of cool.
Ответитьjust came hear to shout E30 BMW M3!!!
ОтветитьCorrection to your last remarks on the video "Mercedes never did anything close to this before or since". Yes they actually did so why do you not test it?! The 2004 Mercedes CLK AMG DTM of which 100 coupe road cars were built (in 2005 a further 80 cabrio versions were built) and which were very special indeed, with carbon fibre bodywork, and a supercharged 5.5v8 with 582bhp, plus larger ceramic brakes, height adjustable front suspension and completely redesigned rear suspension, bespoke gearbox and mechanical lsd.
ОтветитьGood grip on the pavement? I prefer good road grip otherwise on the pavement I run some poor git over in my evo 🤣
ОтветитьWhere is this road!?!?
ОтветитьQueue the eurobeat! Greatest Benz ever made!
ОтветитьI think this may be my favorite BTS with DTS. What an incredible car.
ОтветитьI adore these cars my dad used to own 2 190 mercedes with diesel engines back in the day so this car for me remains one of the all time hero cars.
ОтветитьI would be a very happy man if I could watch, not too short, video with only engine sound. Beautiful car, location and shots .
ОтветитьThe favourite car of my mrs.
And perfectly in line with my own ideas on what a car should really be like.
What lens you used? Beautiful Thank you
ОтветитьGreat video Derek if I even win the lottery and cam get a 190E Evo 2 I absolutely am but the chances are unlikely.
ОтветитьWhat an amazing video! Lovely deep dive on the Evo 2 truly conveying how this car makes you feel.
ОтветитьAnother home run! Keep 'em coming, DTS!
ОтветитьAwesome video and filming of an iconic car.
ОтветитьOutstanding as always
ОтветитьThey looked likr a Toyota and.the dog leg 1st took some getting used to.
ОтветитьThose old racing footage are so cool!
Thanks for the video. This is so well done.
They were a great car, though not quite as good as the BMW M3 Sport Evolution (with the 2.5 S14 engine).
ОтветитьWrong Americans newest nation, Mercedes w123 is the best quality. PERMANENT.
ОтветитьStill plenty of 190E's on the road here in Germany. They just don't build them like they used to.
300E was one of the best vehicles I ever had the pleasure of driving.
Why are all these videos about THE ONE - with a star on the hood - cropping up? They may be well-made ungestellunggeheimlichkeitfart boxes, but so what? This is 2023 and the Leftists are massing to force you to drive a giant battery... bliss and peace.
ОтветитьThanks for the video and the research you did.
Greetings from Germany 👍
It's hard to find the suspension spring rate info. Some say 320 N/mm but that's 1800 lbs/inch. That can't be right. Anybody have data?
ОтветитьBreath taking
ОтветитьMy dad had the first version. Completely different vehicle than the standard 190e, but tbh, the performance is nothing compared to today’s boring standard family sedans. More fun to drive? Yes, but the very best 0-60 times were 7.2 (compared to 6.7 for the M3) and 167hp vs 185 for the M3. The manual transmission really did help to set it apart from other Mercs during that era and even the AMG Hammer, which was a monster produced with the help of Porsche (porsche was struggling at the time) but more like a GT car than a true sports car or sports sedan. I still have mixed emotions regarding that car, much better than the 190e and 300e during that era, but I think my father ended up getting it because we (the kids) kept growing and could no longer fit comfortably in his 911.
ОтветитьGreat video! One correction, though: The 190E Evo II is not shorter than a Ford Fiesta (Mercedes 454 cm long, Ford up to 409 cm). It is remarkably 2 cm narrower than the Fiesta, though.
ОтветитьAn absolute masterpiece, what a dream car 🙌🙌🙌 great video!
ОтветитьBack when German cars were the best in the world not junk like they are now
ОтветитьTime to buy a 190e I guess.
ОтветитьDerek another great episode of BTS, hope to see more from you in the future on YT, have a great holiday and awesome 2024. I wish you all the success on your new adventures and can't wait to hear more from you and Jason on The Carmudgeon Show
ОтветитьWhat does, “BTS with DTS” mean please team…?
ОтветитьI remember hitting 250km/h going downhill and the bonnet shaking....many many moons ago...
Ответить3 inches shorter then a Focus? Not a Fiesta... Great video!👍
