It was a lot cooler back then for the most part. Stars were cooler, and just having a blast. Here's a key take away. I've always wanted to feel like stars do when they get adulation and a lot of money, but it isn't without pitfalls. Anyone can feel and live like they do if circumstances allow. It's all in perspective.

Compared to the newer Oscars, back then, they seemed to be more genuinely fun and sincere. Nowadays, there seems to be a lot of subtle politically or socially charged jabs of bitterness and discontent.
