Klim Marakesh or BMW Airtex for me. Tried the knox…too utilitarian and uncomfortable. Elephant in the room is the neck hem. It’s stupidly tight and almost abrasive! No way would I wear it for more than a few minutes and it proves my deep suspicion of a lot of reviews and reviewers where things are presented more like paid adverts. Rev’it is great. Usual Rev’it quality. BMW Airtex often overlooked but as good as they come and as comfy to wear as the Klim as well as having drop liners supplied and not charged as extras unlike knox “system”😂
ОтветитьI like the eclipse from revit but it only has single A abrasion. Any thoughts on that? Im looking for something to wear in summer and I easily heat up. The klim baja is double AA but costs three times as much. Revit cayenne or sand both look heavy and I dont know if thats going to feel to hot then.
ОтветитьPlease ;
Revit eclipse vs Dainese levante air jacket?
Summer july monts 30 C? Beautiful mesh?
this stuff is only good for mopeds
ОтветитьThe oxford delta air mesh is awesome, understated and very good quality, Great airflow in summer with loads of pockets. Just remember to get a back protector to add but at 99 pounds that's still great value.
ОтветитьI crashed in a rev’it eclipse at 35mph with the seesoft back protector added. Armour made it so I didn’t feel the impact or get any bruises, and it slid really well on the arms and didn’t come close to wearing through at all. However I rolled over the rear mesh in the fall and it scuffed up a lot more. Given how massive the mesh panels are, I would say it’s a fantastic urban jacket, but you probably shouldn’t use it on faster rides as it’ll tear through the chest and back in no time at speed.
ОтветитьJust got my Merlin Shenstone jacket and it is fantastic. Looks wonderful, very comfortable and gets great airflow.
Ответить@irbanrider what's the helmet you are wearing?
ОтветитьI wish that knox was available in the US
ОтветитьIm new to your channel. Really appreciated this video. Have you done a equivalent "summer or warm weather" glove review??
ОтветитьThank you for this video !
ОтветитьScorpion influx mesh jacket has CE 2 level armor for around $200 American.
ОтветитьWhat size is the Knox Urbane Pro Andrew is wearing?
ОтветитьI highly recommend the Revit Eclipse I just got one in the brown,..top drawer super comfortable, can't get better than this trust me👍👍👍🇬🇧
ОтветитьKlim Marrakesh is an excellent summer jacket, I haven’t seen a review by Urban Rider, but I think I’ve seen Tim wearing one.
ОтветитьIs it possible to take out the original rev it armour in the Eclipse and put in D3O? Or will it (d30) not fit?
ОтветитьThe urbane is just ground breaking for me, allows me to be fully armored with a nice jacket over when on the way to work, slip the armor off and i have a 'trendy' jacket to wear whilst out and about. Genius!
ОтветитьKlim induction
ОтветитьJesus H! Would you get to it man!?
ОтветитьIm more interested in the helmet😅😅
Ответитьman those jackets are shit
ОтветитьHot weather jackets in black/dark colors… FAIL
ОтветитьMerlin Chigwell's elbow armour assumes your elbows are next to your wrists. Weird. Not adjustable either. Cannot recommend.
ОтветитьI just picked one up for £95 very pleased. Buy summer clothes in winter is the moral of this story
ОтветитьI have had that rev’it eclipse for a few years for hot weather riding here in Hong Kong, it is great in terms of airflow and holds up really well. I have a Dianese Air Track mesh jacket for the sports bike, but the rev’it is much better for hot weather. The rev’it also works on different types of bikes a bit better, since now I am getting rid of the sports bike I can’t see myself wearing the Dianese much.
ОтветитьWhat gloves are those??????
ОтветитьFantastic product reviews. Thanks so much! Can you please tell me which gloves you’re wearing during the Chigwell and Urbane jacket reviews?
Ответитьone more thing to note, if the weather is already hot, IF there is sun, I suggest getting a light coloured jacket, Black colour just absorbs so much heat from the sun and is also not very visible for night riding.
ОтветитьI live in the US and want the belstaff temple jacket but they don’t have it available in small.
ОтветитьWhat's that brand, I never heard of it, "Merkin"? Why not include the likes of Dainese, and use these obscure ones?
ОтветитьThe Rev’it is a highly recommend from me, but these all sound and look the bomb tbh!
I specifically bought the Rev’it Eclipse for two biking tour holidays abroad, the first being Tenerife and the second was Thailand riding in 40+ temps! I did buy the after market Level CE2 Rev’it back protection. I actually ended up going back to Thailand for another tour three months later. The jacket performed fantastically well and is a ‘must have’ for tropical destinations imo!
Any of these jackets would be perfect for the job, none of them are particularly outrageously expensive.
Regards,
Dazza. 🇬🇧
It would be nice to see something other then black. In the summer of Florida, I don't care how much airflow you got, any dark color will bake you alive on a bike. The only option in this list is the eclipse silver and a choice of one, is no choice. The jackets that work for everyday riding for me in the extreme heat of Florida are:
Pit boss beige mesh armor
Duhans beige mesh armor
And the Cuber white mesh armor
They are all very affordable and the Cuber is the only one you have to buy armor for but it's sub $95. All are available on Amazon.
Five Jackets To Keep In Your Closet This Summer
Bomber jacket. Perfect for a casual runaround type of day, a bomber jacket can add a stylish touch to any basic summer outfit.
Lightweight Trench or Printed Duster. ...
Lightweight Blazer. ...
Denim jacket. ...
Raincoat.
So far I've been trying out the Rev'It Airwave 3 and Tornado 3 jackets. Both are really good for very warm weather but the airwave 3 is slightly better but does not come with any waterproof layer or insulating layer for riding in wet, cooler or colder weather.
ОтветитьWhat gloves are those
ОтветитьVanson Perf w/hard armour.....
ОтветитьDoes the armor work for us chic. Fit wise?
ОтветитьReally Great review very thorough
ОтветитьThose boots are great got the name for them ? I have cowboy boots but don't know if they are as good as motorcycle boots
Ответить"black mesh" is an oxymoron...
ОтветитьWhat gloves is the model wearing during the Merlin Chigwell segment?
ОтветитьInside the jackets please
ОтветитьGreat video, I also loved the helmet. Anyone knows the name of it?
ОтветитьHa Mr. Rarefield Road I didn’t know you were a presenter for Urban Rider too, great job.
ОтветитьI got a relatively lightweight “summer” leather jacket recently but I’m expecting it to be too much in the peak of summer. Definitely keeping the Chigwell in mind!
ОтветитьThat Merlin Chigwell 😍😍
ОтветитьWhy must everything be dark? It's not a crime to be seen by traffic, but more importantly, dark colors get hotter than Haiti. Flowing air is great, but reflecting a little of the sun's energy won't hurt either.
ОтветитьVery good review, been using Revit Airwave 3 for city riding it’s excellent fits almost perfect for me.
