I am at this school and I LOVE it! I am so grateful and tell every teacher I know from past schools that they really need to make the move. Yes, there is still the "normal" school BS, but I still love being here.
ОтветитьSad but so true!!!
ОтветитьIt’s a trap! Yep! A trap
ОтветитьOh by the way! My daughter saw you with some friends in Rockford Illinois! Thanks for coming to our city! They had a fabulous time!🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 and we appreciate you being here! ❤❤❤❤😂

ОтветитьHis eyes are so pretty
ОтветитьI just started at a new school district this year and am constantly shocked by how pleasant and positive the working environment is? Like, it's by no means perfect, but so much better than my last two placements and I keep waiting for the other shoe to drop. I have an actually supportive mentor, an admin that actually responds to behavioral issues and go by the policy that if you've redirected a kid, had a one on one conference with them, and they're still acting out, that you've done all you can do and send them down to the office where they will not be returned to your room that day. I keep getting goodies delivered to me and the tech services guy gets back to me within a day most of the time.
ОтветитьI've been subbing for a few years. Long termed all last year and this year. I am currently subbing in a primary EBD room. Hardest job i have ever had. I have never had so much support from admin in anything. They offered me a long-term kindergarten position after this, i would prefer 3-5 but I love the culture so much here that I took it. I am hoping i can turn this into a permanent position at this school next year. Admin told me they hope for that too.
Ответить9th year in my district & school, still loving it! I’m blessed!
ОтветитьI feel this so much! After 19 years of teaching in high poverty schools I moved to a non-title (upper middle class) school this year. The supportive parents, well behaved and respectful kids, most kids at or near grade level....every day is a teacher's dream! I have a lot of survivor's guilt, but it's as lovely as you can imagine. Teachers out there - don't hang out in a hard school for your entire career. Give yourself the break I did. :)
ОтветитьMany schools were really like this before computers (internet) were placed in the classrooms and there weren’t many special ed. students in the regular classrooms. Both of these ruined the good teaching experience.
ОтветитьI had this for a year once.... then the temporary head had to go back to his real school..... so, yeah, it was a dream..... so nice while it lasted, though.... *sigh.
ОтветитьAnd then you wake up and realize it was all a dream.
ОтветитьIt’s definitely a trap nothing that good can last!
