Saxophone Repair Topic: King Super 20 Octave Mechanism

Were the octave mechanisms similarly constructed on the baris?

I have a Super 20 with an octave key that sticks open on the neck. Unfortunately my Super 20 octave mechanism is different than this one.

It's been a great help to me Matt. Was just playing my Super and funny sounds started out of it. Gave it a look and the hex nut on the bottom of the rocker shaft was loose. Thank you sir!

The worst thing by far on sax repair is pricking your finger on the needle springs. I can't spend a day without at least one prick against a spring. I have a problem with an octave key. There is "Too much" travel. The lever will open the tone hole quite easily, but then there is more travel and it sticks open. Any suggestions?

Charlie also told him to get a Berg Larsen 110 over 2 metal mouthpiece. Where did you get the Super 20 from? Great vids. on all the great old horns.
