I think all the animated icons for the Charleston battle are missing
ОтветитьLove the Use of Empire total War... I use the american revolution Mod.
ОтветитьAmazing as always, happy Thanksgiving!
ОтветитьFinally had the chance to see this video in it's entirety. You can see a lot of work being done to fix the series flaws, so much that I would recomend watching this version over the individual episodes!
Small editing issues are present here and there but considering the amount of extra content and all the rearrengments made to fit them in and improve the narration this has to be expected.
What a bunch of cry babies.
ОтветитьI still to this day, go back and watch your other videos. You make learning history come alive quite a bit more than my old history classes that would give us a paragraph and moving onto the next section.
ОтветитьAn amazing documentary! Watched this during my night shift.
ОтветитьGood content
ОтветитьThe Brits had "Lord Sandwich" 💀💀💀
ОтветитьIs that Final Fantasy XIV/XVI music in the background?
ОтветитьI love your long form documentaries. I watch something almost every night!
I live in upstate NY and right next to the St. Lawrence River so it's really cool to see that theater of the war here.
I fucking love this Country.
Ответитьthis is fuckin awesome!!!!
ОтветитьHaving free acess to this content is insane. I cant imagine how many people have become more knowledgable through your efforts. Keep up the good work!👍
ОтветитьEnjoying the vid... Have to point out the claim (33mins) in that GW had very little idea what he was walking into is categorically false... He knew very well the stakes... He actually relished the opportunity... A somewhat secretive hatred of the British... Stems from his days in the kings service as an officer in the Provincials... Learning thru lack of promotion, opportunity and being scapegoated for essentially beginning the French and Indian War.. He would never be treated as an Englishman, just a Provincial... As a teenager learning how to conduct himself as a gentleman he wrote down a list of rules, copied from a 16th century book... In the book he learned a gentleman spends far more time listening than talking... To never show emotion, never unveil what is desired... He knew exactly what it was and what it meant... Why he walked in to Congress wearing a Generals uniform before he was approved...
ОтветитьHmm, several of the indicators on the map glitch out and go missing during the gulf campaign
Ответить"misunderstanding" lol

You're such an inspiration to us! Great content! Thank you for the breakdown.
ОтветитьWow, how tf did the Americans win this? Seems like the British overall did better except for a few key battles
ОтветитьAge of Empires 3 has entered the chat
ОтветитьAmazing Vídeo.
ОтветитьThis is why I play the long game and just wait for the long format video to come out before watching anything.
ОтветитьAh, Americans...can't even get the date of their own independence correct. Happy September 3rd.
And before breaking out the jingoistic rhetoric, consider: American logic is declaring your date of independence at the start of the war (with no guarantee of winning it) vs the treaty at the end when you've actually won it, is the same level of ridiculous as if we were to commemorate the end of the First World War not on November 11th, the day the Armistice came into effect, but the first day of the war...(28 July)
i get that it's from the independence day declaring from The Great Britain, which then it started a war from the insurgency, The born of Empire of North America, wow that's amazing where not every "Empire" could not be given a power like that. Also the Napoleon War era for The war of 1812-1821 conflict was why it was given a Mandate of Heaven to The North America, instead of The France Empire, which is very impressive to hold out that long.
ОтветитьDamn -woukd like to have heard more about Washington's retreat through New Jersey. Having grown up in Northern NJ, I grew up reading the signs that marked Washington's retreat.
ОтветитьI am up to Lexington, and this is an almost perfect review lecture for students sitting for the AP American History examination.
There are just two small issues missing.
1. The creation of the Vice-Admiral Courts (Sugar Act) to counter the colonists' use of jury nullication regarding smugglers and the backlash they caused.
2. That Townsend tried to disguise his revenue-raising taxes as trade regulations (duties), which the Americans had previously accepted as consitutional. Townsend was challenged by John Dickinson in one of his Letters from a Pennsylvania Farmer. Where he exposed Townsend's duplicity.
Otherwise, it was a perfect lecture for the run-up to the American Revolition.
A great listen. Thank you.
What's the timestamp for the Battle of King's Mountain?
ОтветитьAs a direct descendant of General Putnam, I’m always glad to get more detail on his actions.
