ОтветитьIn Egypt , when a woman gets married , she keeps her full name as it was before without any changes in formal papers , so there is no hyphenated names and wife doesn't lose her own name . Isn't it better this way ?

ОтветитьIn portuguese Sir you say "senhor" in a formal conversation but could write with just abreviation "Sr" and Ma'am you say "senhora" in a conversation with some woman not young or married and write with abreviation "Sra". For young ladies and sigle young ladies you could say "Senhorita" in a conversation .
