Why are they running pro plastic ads on this?
ОтветитьWe just got to let all the organics decay in the landfills for a decade and mine them for the plastics and metals that are left and just recycle them. 😂
Ответитьsomeone has actually found a way to turn plastic into oil or fuel but idk if it's real
ОтветитьFantastic video! It's not only informative but also enjoyable and practical. I plan to use it as a teaching resource. Thank you so much for creating such a high-quality video! I truly appreciate the effort you put into making this video!
ОтветитьWhy not use enzymes to break down plastics? There is already a fungi that can do that
ОтветитьOutlawing the creation of plastic containers would seem to be what's needed, says he who remembers a time when the only plastic in my home was the Bakelite radio and got 3d back on any glass drink bottles from our local store.
ОтветитьWhatever you do DON’T talk about changing back to returnable drink bottles.
ОтветитьJust tax the hell out of plastics, both the producers and consumers. It might replace sales tax completely even. But no, the politicians are too deep in oil companies pockets
Ответитьthe solution is by attacking the root cause i.e taking preventative measures to phase out plastic as much as possible. we cannot individual action volunteer group clean-ups our way out of this.
ОтветитьAnything that need large-scale human cooperation is a lost cause. Just like climate change, they will only start actually doing something when it truly become an issue and a risk for their existence.
Classic human behavior.
Nobody talks about the unknown health implications of having trillions of microscopic plastic particles saturated into every corner of our bodies, we are a Guinea pig generation and time will tell how bad the problem is yet to get
ОтветитьThe most immediate "threat" from plastics is what ends up making it's way into water systems and eventually floating in the oceans. It's the things floating in the water that pose the more immediate risk. This is more a function of density than biodegradability. The "easiest" quick fix is to make the things that end up in the ocean the most (single use bags, straws, bottles, etc) from denser materials that don't float. A disposable bamboo spoon is not going to biodegrade quickly enough to not be a threat when it ends up in the ocean. A denser plastic fork that won't float is less likely to ever make it to the ocean at all.
Obviously, reuse is better than single use. But it's much harder to change people's behavior on a global scale.
100% lies.
ОтветитьPerhaps a better solution would be to blast plstik into space. Toward the sun or Venus and let it lie there.
ОтветитьIn my opinion, plastic is one of the worst materials we have invented.
ОтветитьThe shift of burden of plastic pollution should go back the the oil companies, where their lobbyists placed it onto the consumer in the 1970s. CORPORATE GREED IS KILLING THE EARTH
ОтветитьIt most countries have clean rivers. Sorry, we're a poor countries, all right? So all our waters are clean, unlike the ocean. Unlike you are your countries, our countries do not dump trash basically or even near water. There's not even water close by, so keep on doing what you want
ОтветитьNo the planet and the horrors of life which have always been prevalent upon it, long before plastic, can never be fixed. The only way to 'save' anything alive is by not breeding it in the first place. Less and less people who have any kind of education are having kids and that's the only way forward. Once you exist you're basically fucked. You'll grow either old or sick or a combination of the two and ultimately you'll die. You might also die through an accident or violence. No amount of happy go lucky 'we'll fix this' crap will save anyone in the long run. So grow up. And don't breed. Life is a ponzi scheme.
ОтветитьPump 100 000 000 000 $ into genetically engineering the perfect plastic degrading super microbe... with any luck it will wipe out humanity too, and we solve the root of all the problems.
ОтветитьThe solution is easy - end plastic PRODUCTION...shifting the ownership of solving these major global issues onto the consumer completely avoids the single most effective way of maximizing the reduction of plastic by simply ending the production of it in its current form & taxing the hell out of plastic producers until they find a sustainable alternative...for instance, hemp & kelp/seaweed are two completely viable bioplastic options that continue to be widely neglected but would be tremendous alternatives!
Ответить"It's in our walls." 💀💀💀
Ответить130 Kg per person per year? How is that even possible? That's a lot of plastic. How does that happen?
Ответить"Really smart people are trying to do something.." Proceeds to showcase MrBeast 🤣🤣
ОтветитьOur government wants to ban gasoline cars. But not put ban on plastic. That's funny
ОтветитьThis guy talking about how bad is plastic while is surrounded by plastic toys
ОтветитьIf corporations would us glass and paper in place of plastic we would be better off. What happened to returnable bottles? I guess it's easier to blame the peasants
ОтветитьI feel guilty everday for my plastic waste.
ОтветитьI really wish more rich people would open recycling plants. I'm working on it
ОтветитьEurope tries to help the issue.
Could the US do the same?
Just replace oil plastic. Simple... right?
ОтветитьIt's ok, we are making mars, humans wanting to be like dinosaurs...
ОтветитьActually you make wonders and i liked your statistical languange which make my eyes open on what is going on with plastic together we can reduce plastic pollution and making the earth safe place to live
ОтветитьWhere's our superpower..
US: iam busy protecting freedom u guys go ahead

ОтветитьJust lies, this is based on bullshit, glass causes more pollution, study science and don't talk dumb things
ОтветитьYes throw stuff away, but the plastic companies don’t actually recycle the plastic, so therefore it’s nobody else’s issue but the plastic companies
ОтветитьPlastics should be the exception, not the rule.
ОтветитьMyco remediation
Ответитьgrow hemp and banish the global market/monetary economic system to history books.
ОтветитьWoooooooo😄😅😅🚮🚮 you go!!
ОтветитьThe truth is that you need to work out a way to get rid of our garbage 🗑. But the ocean 🌊 is huge and deep trust in the lord and insists that people will dispose of the garbage when they are on our ocean 🌊.
ОтветитьPlastic pollution is actually way more scary than what this video covers. The real threat is from the chemicals in plastics (PFAS, phthalates, BPA) that leech into our food / drinking water and end up in everyone's blood (yes, yours too).
These disrupt hormones, cause cancer, obesity, birth defects, and brain development issues.
And they're impossible to avoid entirely, due to how much widespread the problem is, and at this rate it'll get many times worse in our lifetimes.
Would be nice to have a explanation of different type of plastics, which one are worse than others, because there's plastic everywhere and not buying plastic is almost impossible, but cutting the worst type of plastic is very possible!
ОтветитьI genuinely love you man! You put these astronomically difficult and overwhelming issues into understandable and digestable (and entertaining) videos. Please keep it up!
