Macan ! Better in ev than in petrol ! Remember macan ice is no longer available in the ec !
ОтветитьThis would be my dream EV if I could afford it!
ОтветитьDidn’t Marvel just do that.?
Ответить2023 kia ev6 Gt only 576 hp 0 to 60 only 3 seconds on electricity car to go 0 to 60 the battery has to be more 70/00
ОтветитьIf you can charge 0-80% in only 20 minutes, the typical 30-80% you'd do on a road trip should be done before you've finished peeing and buying a coffee.
Not that that'llbe much of a concern for mums dropping their kids at private school who have a home charging setup, but still good to know.
This is a good looking update to the Macan although it needs a rear window spoiler to balance it better and look less jump backed. I am surprised Porsche didn’t face lift the petrol variant to look the same even though the dimensions are slightly different (Mini made their petrol and electric variants look the same despite using different platforms) - I guess it is because they thought the ICE variants wouldn’t go on that much further. I see it going the other way in the next few years actually, with ICE making a comeback with e fuels or hudrogen fuel and small electric cars selling less and mainly in cities!
ОтветитьModel Y Juniper refreshed is more affordable...........
ОтветитьReally don’t get why they still use the Turbo name on an electric car.
ОтветитьG
Ответитьwhen it was first revealed, people knocked its looks, but imo it's undeniably the best looking macan ever made
ОтветитьI think Porsche is planning to bring back the petrol version in these new clothes.
ОтветитьEnd this EV nightmare
ОтветитьPeoplele just dont want expensive EVs, they plummet in value at the moment and have no resale value. Porsche are hedging bets because they need to keep making money selling the petrol versions people want, they have even admitted it themselves. Yes it might be a nice car but majority dont want the complication and expense of this. Base new Macan or top spec previous Macan for same price, i know which I’d have
ОтветитьThe frunk and boot not responding as they should is something I'd expect to see on a prototype or an older Tesla, not a brand new Porsche. Speaking of Tesla at least they can hide the subwoofer in the boot where it doesn't take away useful storage space. I'm sure it's a quality product, but it just seems like a lot of money (especially with options) for something not particularly ground breaking. If you're looking for a fast and engaging small EV SUV, get an Ioniq 5N
ОтветитьToo expensive
ОтветитьBuying a 2nd hand one in 2 years. LOVE it. But price point and depreciation .... :O
ОтветитьRory is great about being open minded about EVs, very sensible approach from an intelligent journalist.
ОтветитьThey continue the old version because they believe (correctly I think) that there will be plenty of customers who will prefer it. Nothing strange about that. You need to change the start of the video, where the narrator appears to be a drivelling moron....moreover, the elephant in the room is the Hyundai Ioniq 5, which is essentially very similar, and on a like-for-like basis costs about 2/3 of the Porsche (or less!).
ОтветитьI appreciate his candor as a host however his opinion that the EV Macan styling looks better than the previous ICE models is blasphemy 😂 . This design screams “I am an EV”.
Horrid front end design!
I dont think people are rushing out to buy an electronic Macan ... I like the old spiderman.
ОтветитьI will keep my ICE Macan Turbo. electric cars for everyone is a pipe dream by leftists and have no soul.
ОтветитьThey must make the big SUV electric as well ❤😂
ОтветитьMeh
Ответитьwhat is the meaning of Turbo🤔
Ответить"A decent 270kw". That's better than decent in my opinion.
ОтветитьSpank it my F Pace SVR.
ОтветитьThat is seriously ugly
ОтветитьOrange Porsche, this is just too cool
ОтветитьMy brothers 134k Taycan cross 4s had battery failure at 18 months and 4 months later is still at the dealership awaiting a new battery pack. Since it was Registered (2023) it has probably dumped at least 50-60 k in value if not more. I bought a new ICE Macan S at the same time as him and have to date ,touch wood , zero faults and the car has been amazing. Whilst I think the new EV Macan looks good and the performance is impressive , there’s simply no way as a private buyer I could afford to take the risk on the battery beyond warranty or suffer what is bound to be colossal depreciation on this new model. A huge problem for Porsche which will desperately need to shift Ev’s to allow it to continue manufacturing the 911.
ОтветитьYou shouldn’t be buying a Porsche if you think of the price
ОтветитьMaycan. From now on we all call this car Maycan
ОтветитьRory so good at his job
ОтветитьWhat a beautiful looking frog 🐸
ОтветитьWho in the real world cares about 0 - 60 times? Unless you’re 17! The important thing is acceleration on the move, 30 - 60 or 70mph.
ОтветитьNot sure if the Ioniq 5 N competes with this. With the way Porsche does options the price of one Macan Turbo is the same as two Ioniq 5 Ns.
ОтветитьAre Porsche worried? With electric car sales plummeting, they should be. People have cottoned on to the fallacy of going electric anywhere outside a city. I live in France, approx 1000km from my family in London. My current car will do that journey at a steady pace in 10hrs and with one just quick stop for fuel/pee/coffee/croissant as we hit Calais (700km). This would have to stop three times and on each occasion, for a lot longer. Pointless. And when at its destination, how many charging points will there be? Where I live, the town - population 5000, has just two (yes two) public charging points. And at the other end, in London, where my family lives they have some of the super slow lamppost chargers, but they’re nearly always hogged by locals. Electric is only viable if you do short journeys and when you know that at your departure/destination there’s a proprietary off-street fast charger. Beyond that, long distance driving and without that security, and it’s a constant gamble.
Also as an aside, who needs 600+ bop from a pocket sized SUV? Who’s Porsche’s target market with that one? The Macan will in the main be bought by people like myself. 50+, married, no kids (or kids have left home), like to travel around a fair bit with some clobber, want a high, comfortable driving position, some luxury and some handling, the latter in essence being what LR’s - the other premium raised, big space mile crunchers - don’t offer. That and German build quality and reliability. So how many of these all electric 600bhp versions are they going to shift. Reflecting on what I’ve said, probably loads, to idiots who will have them Urbaned, Khaned or worse still Mansoryed, before driving around London.
food for thought... if performance and super cars keep getting faster (including the acceleratio) their drivers might have to gonsider wearing f-force suits like airforce pilots do....LOL LOL LOL
ОтветитьCan’t wait to get one second hand 60% off!
ОтветитьSadly in Europe, outside of the land of the Poms, there is NO petrol version available 😢
Ответить85 mph /95mph on a motorway range will be hopeless …so no thanks
ОтветитьPorsche love to feel how to be near bancrot introducing only EV Macan and with that basically cut big amount of sale what they got last year
ОтветитьI came from owning 3 Tesla's back to back since 2018. Just got back into to ICE, and LOVE my 2021 Macan GTS. I drive a TON and would save on premium fuel if I got back into a Macan EV, but the cost difference getting into a NEW Macan EV $100+k would be crazy. I'll keep my GTS for a while and enjoy that, plus the BUTTONS love all the Buttons in my 2021 GTS!
ОтветитьNonsense comment about spiderman. They’re giving the customer a choice
ОтветитьPorsche EV will depreciate faster than ever! 😢 what a waste of money 😂😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьAlready watched Harrys review on the same car :), his towing test was nice but the results where predictable.
The petrol and EV versions are both built alongside in the Leipzig factory. Its better to have all options on sale.
I dont like how the EV looks in the front, its missing the big bonnet and I dont like the double- stacked headlights...
Battery cars are little more than a joke, a niche product at best.
To suggest they are a viable replacement for ICE is ludicrous.
Macan GTS owner - no thanks, I don't want an EV. Porsche losing customers big time.
ОтветитьMy interest and history is with Porsche and Tesla's primarily so I have a big interest in any developments from the brand from Stuttgart.
I went to a dealer and I drove the 4, wasn't overly impressed to be honest. The tech, while a welcome upgrade to the outgoing Taycan, it still doesn't fully hit the mark. The drive was nice enough with the salesperson allowing me to drive it more spirited, yet without the S variant it lacked what makes an ev special. The Taycan was genuinely impressive, fresh, ane even felt like it had soul, this Macan ev felt like calculated brand expansion/marketing exercise.
And then there's the price - it makes sense for someone who really wants an brand new EV, but you can get a ICE Macan certified pre-owned for 70k-80k fully loaded, and over the lifetime use of the vehicle you probably won't make the difference that it would cost to get a similarly optioned Macan Ev. I'm just not seeing where this car really makes sense other than for it being fully electric and new.
Would have been good to see a review of the base. The turbo will be uber expensive 😢
