i dont mean to critize your play style and sound rude. but how do you have 164 ships after 108 in game years?

I was confused about the exterminators getting beat by people on the otherside of the galaxy. Then you said it was a confederation and that explained everything. You can actually gaslight xenophobe species into being xenophiles by being good enough in diplomacy. This can create strong confederations that can literally hold majority of the galaxy in ironman mode. They usually end up discovering L-gates really fast which allows them to essentially teleport across the galaxy and end the mid game crisis (The great khan) before he even spreads anywhere. I had a solid 2 xenophobe empires get deleted by my federation without participating because my allies had such strong armies. It's also the reason why my neighboring xenophobe faction still formed a confederation with other aliens.
