ugly looking car
ОтветитьGreat detailed review 👍. The price of this car is the main issue. X3 30d is the same price, with AWD (Xdrive) and a longer range. I’ve owned 2009, 2014 & 2017 (G01) X3 30d. The interior of the 2022 iX3 looks very similar to my 2017 X3. Apple CarPlay saves the day.
For anyone wanting to switch to electric, Tesla Model Y RWD is a direct competitor. Half the price, with dedicated charging network and now qualifying for all NSW government rebates (July 2023). Bought one…
Interesting to see how many iX3 models BMW will sell. BMW engineering is superior but that price is insane.
Can Tesla chargers charge this car? Or if not, can an adapter be purchased ?
Ответитьbought one in the UAE where I live and where they just arrived. I'm very happy, specifically because....it doesn't look and feel like a futuristic non-sense EV. It is electric, it tick that box, but that box only in that terms. So...very satisfied.
ОтветитьCan't wait to start seeing these in the US... Finally some normal looking EVs... I wish more manufacturers would make their electric cars more like their existing lineup, certainly I think they would be more popular.
ОтветитьTesla half price and way better than bmw.
ОтветитьTariifs are already removed from EVs brought in the Philippines and sad to say it is almost the same price, probably a bit expensive here, but the tech and features are less. Shout out RSA motors..where are the 20" rims and 360 deg camera on the BMW ix3?
ОтветитьI'm glad that this looks just like the normal X3! I can't wait until EVs are no longer a special version of car, what I mean is, in the future there will be no "iX3" there will just be an "X3" but it won't have an IC Engine in it :)
ОтветитьBMW almost doing a good job, but forgotten frunk, is stupid mistake, piano black, is awful !!
ОтветитьWhat exactly is the range? Didn't see this mentioned.
Surprised this looks so much like the petrol version!
Haven’t seen an EV that looks better!
Ответить1. What about its range test in summer and winter? Anybody has experience?
2. Noise and comfort level ?
I am probably the only one that dislikes the angle of the headrests. For the driver it's ok, but the passengers have a headache after 10 km :D
Ответитьlove the honest reviews. I wasn't aware the BMW IX3 was built in China, which was disappointing to learn. I would have liked a German made BMW, where it originally comes from.
Ответитьto be fair, iX3 isn't reeeealy a competitor to the etron and MB EQC. It lacks the size and punch. It's more in competition with the Q4 e-tron and Tesla model Y (somewhat).
ОтветитьIwhat colour is that?
ОтветитьI think the iX looks so much better than this, it looks modern and futuristic, this one looks like a boring SUV
ОтветитьThis is NOT a proper electric car !!
This is the regular x3 with just stuck on electric motor .
Quick fix old staff dinosaur 🤦🤮👎
Looks like we will soon stop worrying about German vehicles oil leaks
ОтветитьAnother electric garbage vehicle with 70+ year old tech
ОтветитьNice vehicle but would prefer the standard grill. I drive an electric now and like the fact that I have an ICE backup. Unfortunately there are less models out there with a back-up ICE (back-up petrol motor). Just like the idea of long range drives without the stress of a flat battery. Might be ok in Europe but not in Australia.
ОтветитьI can compare an iX3 to a Tesla Model 3 directly, both on long term usage, extended trips and so on. They’re actually quite close, I could not tell you a clear winner straight ahead.
Tesla has some positive points in the app, or how they handle the software at all. How the car improves bit by bit, with the feedback of real drivers from the field. The advantages you quote („Tesla can charge at 250kW while iX3 can only 150kW“) are not really that important at all, because 250/150 are peak values. If you stop for a charge and you need 50kWh, you will spend around 30min in each of these.
I like the 360° camera and the HUD in BMW. Tesla has a better API for 3rd party apps for logging stats and controls.
So really, you could say Tesla is a bit better by being more future-proof with OTA updates. BMW could (potentially) also do it, but only partially — for example, there’s no way to update ABS or ESP, the BMS can be updated in the facelifted iX3 but not in the one before… Tesla has a completely new approach where everything is programmable and controlled by one main computer. Gives me more hope that in 5 years it will still remain modern, while BMW will look outdated.
But if you like the looks and the feel of the iX3 — which I do — this is a very nice car and a solid alternative for Tesla!
Picked up ours 3 months ago. We have the blue accents but had no choice - ours was the last one in the country with beige leather before the facelift wiped this option out. Blue accents grow on you 😃 and are useful here in Poland where EV’s get access to bus lanes and free parking. Blue trim doesn’t scream EV, more like squeaks EV🤣
ОтветитьAutosteer “ works ok, nothing amazing”. I disagree - it works as well as Tesla’s AP1 which is a high benchmark even now. iX3’s graphics on the driver’s display while using it are also straight outta Fremont. Copy the best😃
ОтветитьPlease let me know the part number for Kidney Grill. please T_T
ОтветитьThe lights remind me of the halo plasma swords haha
ОтветитьLooks a decade old...
ОтветитьThis is the best looking BMW EV, not counting the i8. All the others are either boring (i3) or ugly (all the others).
ОтветитьIt’s ugly
Ответитьwhere do we charge it
Ответитьthis could be the last bmw that actually looks like a car
ОтветитьNice review mate. I've got a Model Y in the US which we love. I still have my 2019 X3. I would trade my X3 and get this in a second but we wont get this in the US. We only get that disgusting looking iX trainwreck.
ОтветитьUgly and too expensive for what it is. Have you heard of BYD Atto 3? Soon it's coming to Australia.
ОтветитьFront looks like an afterthought
ОтветитьGL
ОтветитьLooking at the pic of the new Tesla they have somehow managed to make it even more uninspired than existing models, what a plain Jane.
Ответить0-198 in 6.8 seconds. Very nice!
ОтветитьShout out to you Paul from South Africa 👍🏾. Great review as always.
ОтветитьI like this car!
ОтветитьLooks amazing
ОтветитьMade in China.
Ok everyone’s out.
That front grill looks like a set of sunglasses
ОтветитьSeth MacFarlane????
ОтветитьNot being car savvy, What does this have over the XC40 Recharge ?
ОтветитьPlease review the EQC and Audi Q3
ОтветитьLooks like a pair of giant spectacles on the front of the car
Ответитьwill you do a Merc EQA review anytime soon?
ОтветитьI agree, love electric cars that aren’t purposely trying to look like a quirky science experiment. Even then I love traditional chrome grilles and would love it to look identical to the petrol car except be an electric drivetrain. Imagine a 320e!
ОтветитьAny chance you can review the macan gts?
ОтветитьWill there be over the air updates and will it get OS8 later?
Ответить
