NEW Details on Upcoming Story of Seasons, Rune Factory Project Dragon & Farmagia!

I'm really looking forward to this year's release. An open-world Story of Seasons with a glider, weather effects, and hopefully fewer builders would be great. I'm also excited about the new RF spin-off with improved combat. I hope it includes farming and doesn't have card-based combat, as I'm not a fan of card games.

I just don’t know if it’s the direction I want. Seeing the character fly with like a leaf parachute, who even asked for this? I just want a simple farming game with deep and meaningful character interactions everything else is just a gimmick.

Rune Factory: Project Dragon is basically Rune Factory: Breath of the Wild lol but let's be honest, i'll still play it o3o I love Breath of the WIld and Rune Factory so it's fine.

Companies need to realize open world doesn't equal a good game
People would be more than satisfied with a small but fleshed out world over an empty open world :(

I always like watching these preview types of videos. It is the only way I know about what type of farming games are coming out.

What they showed was nice, but it wasn't really enough to justify a showcase. Building hype too early leads to people getting frustrated with wait times. Almost no actual game play.

I would go with Kaguya since I like the idea of fighting with Talismans.

Considering how amazing trio of towns was and then the absolute train wreck that olive town was, the series really took a turn for the worst. I'm very skeptical of this new one.

I am gonna be a wee bit upset if there's little or minimal farming in Rune factory 6. I feel it will just become another jrpg if it takes away or minimizes farming.

Some websites such as imdb and crunchyroll are saying that Farmagia is a mobile game. If it is a mobile game then it probably won't release on any other systems. If it is a mobile game tgen i'm not interested

The eye roll when i saw the glider 😭 if this is open world that is so disappointing to me. Story of seasons to ME at least was always about the small town of villigars who you grow closer to and get to know more about, while jugglign your farm life. Not exploring some barren boring open world 😭

Very excited for the new SoS, though a potential open world makes me nervous. I hope they nail it this time, there’s so much potential. I want this game to feel complete 🖤

I hadn’t heard about Marvelous! helping with Moonlight Peaks. Waiting until 2026 will be tough, but I cannot wait!

im pretty disappointed by what was shown of the upcoming story of seasons game... i'm so over the whole overly saturated, bright colors in environments thing. i wish we would go back to more realistic environmental colors for these games. i'm really hoping the animal and character models are just placeholders, especially with how the character models look like carbon copies of the ones from pioneers of olive town.

Hard to stay interested after Silent Hope...that game should not have been released without major updates, huge waste of time and very disappointing from Marvelous

The new SOS looks promising but I hope they learned their lesson from One World and don't just make an "Open World" that is really just an annoyingly big map that makes it impossible to do everything you need to...

Sure, give us larger locales to explore. But please don't homogenize my farm sims into being just other vacuous open world games, Marvelous! 😭🤞

I really wish we can get Story of seasons and story of seasons trio of towns from the 3DS ported into the switch. Those games were remarkable. especially trio of towns which was one of my all time favorite SOS game on the 3DS. in that one, the characters felt more lively and had lots of personality to them and you can connect well with them too. Lulukoko was my all time favorite town in that one. I feel like SOS has gone a bit downhill ever since the release of pioneers of olive town which in my opinion very boring and repetitive.

so glad theyre sticking to the tradition with rune factory having canon protagonists to play as and not some random create your own self insert. also their protagonists is the reason why theyre so beloved, like Raguna and and Micah and im glad they understand that. the only thing missing now is for the protags to coexist with each other and are also dateable if you choose the other one. Now as for Kaguya or Subaru, ughh idk they both look so cool. ill have to do two playthroughs lol.

For SoS I need a few things: Rotatable furniture and decoration. The option to change the color of a lot more stuff. More good hairstyles! Different kinds of clothing styles or the option to change the outfits colors as well. Did I mention rotatable objects? 👀 Definitely less makers or ar least a good place to put them, because they are spacious and take a lot of room and they don't look decorative at all. And make the process time shorter. No one has time to wat 23 hours for one damn seed. And I would love different ways to play, so that it's not as repetitive as it is now. I absolutely loved Pioneers of Olive Town and the style of it. It's my favorite! But... Can we have rotatable objects please? 😂 I need to customize my garden, my fields and my house a lot more. I want to place things on rugs and I want to change the color of as much as possible. And different furniture and decoration styles would be absolutely everything! Modern, asian, cottage core, handmade stuff, futuristic.

Yes, I know it's a lot. But I need a lot. 🤣

I think open world is fine, but open world means you really need to furnish the land otherwise it looks incredibly empty. That means animals, plants, structures, difference in texture, etc

I don't know if your heard, but it sounds like Storry of seasons is no longer a third party game so he we go for a third rebranding of the original harvest moon and here comes the complaints.

i hope they have the mechanics of hero of leaf valley with different mechanics to obtain the ending

I hope they bring monsters helping on the farm back to RF6, that feature is so cool and no other farming game really does it like RFF and RF1 nailed it... The feature is kind of still there in RF5, but it is so generic and sloppy it is better to not even use it... (Ignis watering crops....)
Having helpers doing the watering and stuff is much better than the new irrigation trend SV brought, I really hate having a square of not-crops to water the remaining ones... (SoS uses it too)
I'm not very exited for RFPD, might be fun but I don't see what makes it better than, say, genshin impact or so many others... Yeah, the RPG aspect of RF is lightyears better than genshin, but still, there are other games with great skill leveling and forging stuff... Farming usually IS that differential, if they shove it to the side too much I really don't see why I'd go for it rather than so many other games...
One game I wished so hard didn't get abandoned (it is abandoned) was RE:legends, they had farming, skilling, even monster evolution that were pretty cool, unfortunately it also had a ton of bugs and outdated graphs/gameplay, if only a big company like marvelous would work that game concept into a proper full game....
So many cool features to explore, we are still so far from the perfect game, with all of them, a great story and amazing characters all in one...
Please Josh, continue what you're doing, you do us a great service with this awesome channel and content

I'm disappointed that rune factory developers would rather give us another eugenics looking protag then just letting us have character creation. I don't want to be a set character I want to play myself. This is like the biggest reason I gave up on Rune factory. If the game doesn't have character creation it'll never be more than a 7/10 game at best.
