Never heard of The Meters back in the 70s but did finally hear this tune on Jazz 91.1 FM on the way home from work and had to hear it again, just ordered the cd. AWeSoMe!!

I bought the album when it was released back in 1974 and this Awesome Funky track stood out for me.
It still sounds Fresh and Brilliant in 2021 true Funk and Rock Guitar blended together like Parliament/Funkadelic with Eddie Hazel Guitarist Supreme. ♥️

That was way back in 1975/76 thereabouts.

I first got hooked to the track "People say" boy the syncopation and the bass rythms just got me gyrating with amazing foot taps. Then later as the album progressed got to "Aint no use"and I melted in its juices.

A funkedelic track that writhes through my veins and send me asunder in the cloud nine of musical ecstasy.

It's as if Pink Floyd played funk. I discovered this song today, in the beginning of 2021. Barista in coffee shop I unusually go to had his ipad hooked to jbl speaker or smth and this masterpiece came to play. DAYMN! I had to come up and ask the name of the song. Now it's in my earphones fo'eva 🎧
