I have purchased quite a few things from Glarry . Actually started with a cello in 1986 but was in wintertime comas for 9 years after graduating ( 92 to 02 ). So lost out on my playing 😮 Now I can’t get anything awsome and don’t want to, starting over BUT . . For a great affordable price . Their equipment is DOWNRIGHT EXCELLENT 🎉

Glarry makes junk. Out of two guitars and two basses none functioned when they arrived. Two had been used and quite beat up. Glarry’s answer. We’re sorry. Likie a partial refund? All had massive fretboard and neck issues. Electronics are a joke. Noisy hissy junk! The neck on the jazz bass is wider than my P-Bass for God sake. Not one of them came unblemished. All had drips scraps, pre swirled finishes and orange peel looks. One had no jack. None! On a Tele I bought the bridge came off the first time I tried to tune up. It had been placed in so may positions while they were mounting the bridge there was nothing left to hold it. Don’t buy these glowing reviews. These guitars are not worth $100. They are not at all playable out of the box. Glarry is largely unresponsive and only offer partial refund still leaving you with their junk! You have to get up and spend at least enough money to get something like a Squire Classic Vibe before you get anything useable. If it sells cheap. It is cheap! Just trying to warn people that Glarry gets away with murder and makes junk!

Basically Glary products are worth the money.

One way to fix the rattly tuners,would be some light grease, or synthetic oil.

The rosewood fingerboard, looked laminated to me and not sanded smooth enough.

One of the best ways to fix neck dive is to use a
wide leather strap with a suede backing that grips your shirt.

Thank you for making this video. I needed a good shot of the electronic wiring as they don't include any diagrams to how they wire their basses. They don't actually do it the P-Bass way, which is why they sound a little brighter... which I like. I dig mine, but I went and wired it the "correct way" and hate it. Now I can wire it back properly (this is what I get for not writing things down)

I'm like, a total beginner at bass and music and everything, I actually played guitar only once in my whole life, is this a good bass for a beginner? I studied music a lot and I know the bass notes, the frets, steps and everything, I just need to know if it's worth it, can someone tell me please?

(I also don't want to spend too much in a bass since I'm still learning about these things, so $90 is actually a good price for me)

Good review. Lots of essential info. Yeah, the neck dive drives me nuts!!. I've even used lead fishing weights screwed into the back of the body to fix it on other basses. The problem in not only the body material, but also the body shape. A longer horn on top will easily correct that. The top 'horn' (that the strap attaches to) should generally extend to the 12th fret to balance ok. I have a couple cheap Dean basses and they have a super long horn, and they balance perfect. Thanks for pointing out the tuners. They will vibrate at certain frequencies when they are loose like that. And just are crappy. Not a good thing to scimp on. I think the tuners and especially the neck dive makes it a 'no go' for me.

I think if you look at the end grain of the fretboard you will see it is actually an engineered type of wood like laminated.

I got mine in yellow and it sounds surprisingly good. Combined with my 20$ amp, I’m impressed

if only glarry wasn't that hard to find here. even if it was available,it would be WAY MORE pricier than $70.

Save your money for another month or two and go on Facebook Marketplace and look for a Squier Jaguar bass. It's pointless not to do a re-visit video a year from the first to see what the problems with that piece of crap will be.
