How much web traffic is it actually encrypting, just a couple of ports, or all the ports connecting to the websites.

When something is free, there is always a catch.

this is good for those who just want to browse a site which is blocked by your country or your country is blocked by others. Like I have this issue and a do not want to pay the stupid amount the other popular vpn companies are asking for just to browse a site here and there once or twice whenever i need it..

When you opened it, there was also VPN for windows 7,8,8.1, 10 and 11, do you not recommend using this on 8.1?

opera browser has a vpn in built in to it

utorrent doesnt work when this one is on. would you recomend vpn for torrenting?

Remember that nothing is truly free. There is always a catch. When you use a free product, you are the product. With that said, using VPN gives some people a false sense of security so they are more likely get careless. In general, if you can afford it, pay for it, especially when it comes to security.

What is your opinion about proton VPN?

Off the subject, but what tab page would you use??? I have a tab page that google chrome keeps knocking off and replacing with their original every few days. I have to keep going back to extensions to turn it back on.

Ok Brian I didn't have any idea of what VPN was so I looked it up and one of the downsides was a slight decrease in download/upload speeds. Now I have only a wifi download speed of 50Mbs tops from my ISP so am really concerned that any VPN will decrease this speed to what would be unacceptable speeds so do you think I should give your tutorial go. I am just an average user browsing and email etc.

I paid for Norton AV for £3 for VPN for 12 months with a VPN and 20GB drive too. Not bad at all - not sure of logging but much easier than that!

I got an error message from open VPN connect. It says installer has encountered code 2503 how to fix it; my both computers are windows 11

My experience in the past with free VPN's is they come at a cost, which is the bandwidth they steal from you.

Proton mail account gives you access to free VPN automatically without the need to install profiles or tweak around so much, although I don't know which one is faster or have more nodes or countries available.

Super helpful info but like you said I wouldn't use a free vpn. Especially if I needed it for p2p connection. I would use this to unlock a website but even then i would just use Proton vpn free.
