Pietro Maximoff is distributing stolen food, clothes, and medicine to the people of Sokovia, also gifting Zrinka an expensive dress from Paris and a toy for her brother, Costel. Wanda Maximoff warns her brother that stealing is dangerous, as he can still be shot despite his powers. Pietro counters by wondering why Wanda didn't kill Tony Stark when she had the chance. Costel then approaches and tells the twins that "Iron Man" is waiting for them at the church, to which Wanda and Pietro are confused.
Captain America and the Avengers land in Sokovia and see some graffiti deriding Captain America a fascist. This motivates Rogers to not wear his helmet in the Battle of Sokovia.
Quicksilver runs through a neighborhood of Sokovian balconies, urging civilians to get to safety. He stops to flirt with a girl, asking "Maybe I see you after?"
Captain America gathers Scarlet Witch, Black Widow and Hawkeye to battle the Ultron Sentries. Black Widow makes a remark about Scarlet Witch wearing her jacket. The latter suggests that they try to get civilians out of the city before it rises too high. Quicksilver runs up with a dismembered sentry arm, ready to fight, and the characters take off into the battle.
A scene was shot of Quicksilver surviving his wounds as well as footage of him in a new costume at the Avengers Compound, in case Disney overruled Whedon's decision to kill him off.[3

Wally West is among my favourite heroes and it was really tough to see the treatment he got from DC. I'm glad he's back in his classic Flash Costume, and I hope he can get back to adventures with his family. Classic Wally West comics are the perfect blend of action, wholesome moments and character growth.

I actually really liked Heroes in Crisis. I felt that Wally fully intended to either turn himself in or kill himself from moment one. I interpreted that Wally just needed time to think and plan. I could also just be a Tom King simp, we will never know.

Waly was flash when I was a kid. I actually didn't know who Barry Allen was till Smallville named a bunch of flashes. Lol. Even when the show started I had never read a Barry Allen story.

those who watched Justice League will understand and love Wally; this is why I hate what they did to him. He was the Flash that a lot literally grew up with.

Years and years have been spent establishing the speedsters PARTICULARLY wally can feel a bullet before it even touches them and react casually without issue, and now hes just fucked because the writer was too lazy to come up with a way he could get hurt. I understand the title n shit must be working but it seems like you creating problems or just stating the issues that are kinda known. But what do I know I haven’t watched the vid I just got tired of seeing the same title for every different character on my timeline😂

Its ironic how my favorite Marvel and DC characters have both become punching bags, Peter and Wally both deserve so much better.

The problem w/ Wally is that his Flash is visually & in powers too indistinct from Barry, in a lot of ways, he is redundant. What ends up happening a lot is that writers end up picking & choosing their favorite characteristics from the 2 & making them 1 character. For ex. the Flash from the JLU animated series & the DCEU Flash are both Barry Allen (b/c Barry is the legacy character) & have Barry's backstory, BUT they have Wally's jovial, wise-cracking personality, & in the JLU's case also Wally's appearance (when unmasked, the Flash was revealed to be a ginger, not blonde like Barry).

You don't see this happen w/ other heroes who share the same name. For example, there's no confusion about Hal, John, Guy or Kyle's Green Lanterns. They are each distinct in personality & appearance, & while their powers (usually) are identical, no one ever tries to merge multiple versions of the character into a single Green Lantern like they do w/ Flash. Same w/ Robin... Dick is classic Robin who has successfully transitioned into his own identity. Jason is the angry one who died. Tim is mostly a pretty generic Robin (to casual readers/viewers). And Damian is Bruce's son who was raised by assassins. In all the many versions of Robin we've seen in different forms of media, there is a clear distinction between all of these characters, & no writers merge the Robins like they do w/ the Flashes.

Also, there's an in-universe explanation why multiple characters use the GL name at the same time. There's no such explanation for Flash & given their similar powers & costumes, it would be too confusing to everyone in-universe. You don't see that happening w/ the Robins. When 1 stops being Robin, they adopt a different name; Nightwing, Red Hood, Red Robin, etc. If DC was going to hand the mantle of the Flash back to Barry, they should've given Wally a new identity, not just a new costume.

Wally West was the only flash I ever knew about, I rewatched the 2 seasons of Justice League animated series on dvd/Netflix over and over again growing up; especially when Batman revealed his identity, Wally and Flash became inseparable in my mind. I was actually shocked when I found out about Barry Allen. “Wally West is Kid Flash from teen titans?” Was my first thought

Even as slow as he was after COIE. Wally had been shot in the back of the neck in a movie theater, but his speed kicked in instinctively the moment he felt something touch back of his neck. And he was able to catch every bullet fired and save the crowd, And this was when he was speed of sound tops. But they expect us to believe he can be shot from behind and it just takes him by surprise? These idiots need to READ about the characters they write

In my opinion, Barry and Wally BOTH were character assassinated.

Wally's story was done post Infinite Crisis, and Bart wasn't great. I think Barry being brought back was fine, but retconning him to be this tragic character was unbelievably stupid.

Especially considering that the new Flash Family additions and the concept of the Speed Force would all be new to Barry. Him adjusting to Wally as Flash, adjusting to having his future grandson around, meeting Wally's kids, even reversing the master-student relationship with Wally, considering Wally's knowledge of the Speed Force. A perfect way to make an old character fit for modern audiences

But DiDio and Johns completely shit the bed with killing Nora Allen, completely changing Barry's personality. And then doubled down on it with Flashpoint.

And now everyone hates Barry, which sucks, because there's definitely a good character there, but the writers are allergic to letting any story about him not be about his dead mom.

I think it's incredibly annoying how older fans blame the character for this instead of the writers. Obviously they grew up with Wally but sometimes the accusations like, "Oh Barry just stole from Wally" make both characters look shallow. It's a strawman.

Hopefully the stories go in a better direction with the new creative team
