So I see your point about construction bots being locked behind tech encourages people to build smaller and slower...
However for me at least, construction bots (not logistics bots), are more of a Quality of Life issue... Clearing a forest without bots or grenades can be a process of hours... deconstructing/reconstructing even a small factory can also be a process of hours especially if you aren't some one who goes online and just finds other people's blueprints for everything... and want at least to limit your speghets...
Construction bots, or Nano bots can cut those processes down significantly and I don't mean the thinking processes but the waiting part, the running around holding the right click as you undo a mistake, or as you manually clearcut a forest so you have enough space for your base...
In what way does what mod encourage overbuilding?
ОтветитьGreat overview for a mod I've been in and out of over 4 years.
Ответитьsounds like your recording in a office toilet
ОтветитьOne Modpack to Rule Them All
Ответитьlose two hours on building buildings for circuit boards you didn't need...I wasted an entire day
ОтветитьSounds more complex than seablock. Also is py slowly replacing angels?
ОтветитьWell made video! It got recommended to me so you're getting some good reach, just doing my part by leaving a comment and hitting the share button ;)
Keep up the goood work!
Hmm... I already have a tendency to underbuild, but often it's the result of impatience and having a hard time waiting for the necessary machines to finish building. From the sounds of things, there seems to be a lot in Py that I would enjoy, but the extreme time investment makes me worried that I'd lose interest too quickly.
ОтветитьShould I play Py with biters turned off?
ОтветитьI really appreciate that you took the time to give such a thorough explanation of Py. I've never tried it and to be honest I don't think I ever will. I like tight, efficient builds, hate belt spaghetti, and despise hand crafting or hand feeding anything. Py sounds like a nightmare. I appreciate and respect the thought and effort that goes into building a mod like this. Maybe after a few thousand more hours when all other mods become stale, I will be ready to tackle this monster.
ОтветитьWow, there's a ton of great chat wisdom in this video! You've outlined so many high level insights of overhaul mods that I haven't heard elsewhere! Before this video I thought Py might just be a lot of grinding because of hard numbers, but your video has convinced me there's a lot of intriguing new gameplay in there. I'll check it out sometime for sure!
Thanks man.
Edit: Bad autocorrect.
Hey, this is a really nice and researched video! I know I won't play this, but it's fun to listen to how big it is. Even AAI Industries is a bit overwhelming for me, especially that I forgot my comfortable base layout.
ОтветитьInteresting. But reminds me of why I will probably never touch it.
Have not yet started krastorio, but intent to do so soonish.
Happy to be the 69th subscriber
But seriously, this looks neat! I’ll probably take a crack at it later, thanks for making this! :D
Thanks for making this video! Everything was explained very clearly, and you've convinced me to give Py another go!
ОтветитьI did start a round of Py without AE and AL.
I might come back to that after my Seablock/BNW run.
I made it to almost Blue science.
My main reason for stopping wasnt even the complexity.
It was the giant buildings. Everything has so much footprint that the base is pointlessly huge
for no reason.
Thank you for this - the most comprehensive show of what Py is. I've known of it, I have heard things about it, but this has been a great video to show off the overhaul mods.
ОтветитьDefinitely impressed with every Py expansion. Even though i seem to get stuck at blue science every attempt, still just love going into creative just to explore a random chain just to mess around and see the great graphics
