not only an fasntastic iterview but also a beautifull video of Mexico. I´m also a foreighnor who moved 25 years ago to México and I love it here.
Ответитьi love this! cheers to you Gina & Mark! LOL mark's vibe w the cigar and beer "Yup we're retiring in Mexico" - that was the best. We moved to Baja CA in 2022 (from downtown Los Angeles) and haven't looked back since.
ОтветитьI've been traveling to Mexico for over 40 years. I always say that Mexico today is 40 years behind the U.S. in all positive ways. Listening to this couple reinforces my opinion. People are friendly, they greet you, they respect their elderly, they're all about community.
ОтветитьI enjoyed listening to your story. We are both over 67 and renting in SoCal near Laguna Beach. We have visited many beach towns in Mexico the last 18 years. Cancun definitely is not on our list. Puerto Vallarta is one place we have visited 9 times and enjoy very much. We have visited Loreto Baja Calif. twice the last 3 years. It is a beautiful quiet and peaceful town. We love the waters of the Sea of Cortez. Thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьI am single. I live in México for less that USD$250. Monthly It includes: rent, food, medic care, fun expenses just like. Restaurants and teathre, It's a wonderful life. I am ucranian
ОтветитьTry Cuernavaca, Morelos. It’s quaint yet modern. Good distance to every major city in Mexico.
ОтветитьGreat! Very helpful!
ОтветитьWonderful couple and great interview!!
I'm a Mexican living in Canada, and I love seeing people moving and retiring over there.
This is a great channel with lots of good advice.
Congratulations to the leader of this project, and welcome beautiful people to my country, Mexico.
I know the feeling of moving to a different country. It's tough.
I'm fortunate living in Canada, surrounded by wonderful people, too. 🇲🇽-🇨🇦-🇺🇲-❤️-👍🏼
Great couple and great video!!!
ОтветитьHow is car insurance in Mexico, is it as high as in the US? An agent told me today I would have to pay $300 a month for car insurance
ОтветитьHello,
I love this video. I’m strongly considering leaving the U.S. for the same political reasons you stated. Have you settled on a place to live?
Thank you for your video lots help for us my wife and I
ОтветитьGreat video!
ОтветитьNice video and philosophy. I had been coming to Oaxaca for 20 years and finally decided to move here. I rented a house for a year, then after 6 months I bought a house 2 years ago and did some work on it. I still have a house in Florida on a canal, but prefer to live in Mexico. I feel safe both places, but Mexico is not boring! Permanent residency make life easier. I use HSBC for banking since it is easy to move money from the US to Mexico. I hired a young lady as a "facilitator". She makes living here possible. I agree it is necessary to have a knowledgeable person on your side to navigate the Government and business world in Mexico. I love the term! Enjoy Mexico!
I do some data analysis and expert witness work and can do it from here except to court appearances. My internet is excellent, and my electrical power is more reliable than in Florida. And the cost of living is MUCH lower than in the US. I am shocked when I am in Florida and go into a supermarket or drug store! I have better and fresher food in Mexico at much lower costs. Oaxaca is great for world class food too. I don't need a car here - my house is a 30 minute walk from the city center. All of my friends here are Mexican, but there is a nice Ex-pat group with friendly people and resources - the Oaxaca Lending Library. My kids have accepted my change in life - I am a 79 yo widower loving life - in Mexico!
I am trying to understand where you currently live and how you manage healthcare. Just visited Guanajuato snd St. Miguel for the day of the dead. Found Guanajuato more " Mexican" and liked the fact that it's a university city. St. Miguel seens very touristy, beautiful but with lots of boutiques and exoensive restaurants.
ОтветитьIm native of Mexico,, born in a small town at the time.. nows more lije a city, my father was from jalisco and mom was an American from Arizona. As child our parents took us there while on school vacation. Im now 68, i spend a whole lot of time in tijuana. I've always brushed off media's news feed. My sister returned in the 70s and started various businesses and very successful. Ive traveled to restorts as an adult with family. But 10 years ago life threw me a curve.. divorce.. lost everything to her, courts just side with women in California.. i did end up with my children as that to me was more valuable than materialistic things even money.. im finally very stabilized mentally and financially. Soon i too will be heading back to my country of birth.. where? Don't know, i plan to rent Air BnBs to figure out where i want to set roots...
ОтветитьThey are a beautiful couple with an even better outlook!
ОтветитьO ....M...... G.
Ive been researching to make rhe jump for months. THIS is THEE best video Ive seen, period.
And this couple ... wowww ... ❤❤❤❤, beyondddd gracious.
you have to head out to Hidalgo, and the Grottos of Tolatonga Water Park, guarentee you will love it
ОтветитьCanadians moved to Mexico 2 years ago, then bought a Yacht in USA and drove it back to Mexico. Out of the norm but loving it! We are living on our Trawler in Quintana Roo! Loving life here, loving the people and living fully! ❤️🛥🇲🇽 ✌️
ОтветитьJust one comment about USA Social Security. My husband was born in 1960 and is 63, and the new early retirement age is 65, with regular retirement age 67 at present. Unless the lady in the video is talking about a private pension program that allows her to retire before 65, or maybe since her husband is older and could retire at 62, she still believes this is the case. She needs to check this out.
ОтветитьThank you Gina and Art for sharing your Mexican travel experiences. Thank you, Mariana!
Desde Southern California.
Totally love these two! I’m essentially doing what they are doing in January. I’m definitely moving to Mexico but can’t decide where. I call it permanently on vacation. LOL. I hope to run into them in my travels❤
ОтветитьThis couple is so likeable. I want to move to Mexico just for the expat community and I’m not even American 🇺🇸 haha
Love from New Zealand 🇳🇿
I enjoyed your video very much. Will you tell me where you settled as I was not sure of the pronunciation. Glad you're enjoying the new life. We're putting steps in place no to do the same. Thanks again!
ОтветитьGod blessed this couple! Being Mexican sometimes I watch these videos from Americans and people from other countries coming to live here because I have see the things we take for granted here and don't appreciate. This couple seem very intelligent people, they did their homework, did research and found a nice place in our country to settle. Great video.
ОтветитьI loved the video with this wonderful couple. Best of luck to them.
ОтветитьGreat Video
ОтветитьAnywhere Down the border! People are friendlier and are eager to get to know you! It is about family and community! Unfortunately the USA has become a rough place to live. Expensive to say the least and certainly not very welcoming.
ОтветитьI went to Mexico and I loved it. As you mentioned people in the USA are not talking to each other/ Neighbors do not greet each other/ very rare I see that. My way back to USA by Texas ( Dallas Airport) I was greed by an Unfriendly Inmigration Agent and I realized that moment how kind and friendly is Mexico. Totally two different worlds,
ОтветитьLike in the USA has dangerous places so does Mexico. Do your homework.
ОтветитьHi! What music festival did you attend at Hard Rock? We have been attending a musical festival at Hard Rock too. This will be our 5th year attending the music festival this December!

ОтветитьWell done. Great information. covered everything.❤
ОтветитьHow is the water to drink? What about toiletry ? Can u flush paper? How is Internet? How close is a hospital?
Thank you for all your work and information because I am seriously considering to retire there🙏
That was very informational thank ;you!!!!!
ОтветитьThis guises moved something deep inside of me, when the lady said, “if you come here, don’t bring your baggage with you”!!! Im planning on moving to another state, and that advice killed me in a very good way! Bendiciones y saludos desde Las Vegas Nevada!!!!
ОтветитьWhen a couple is a team then life becomes an adventure ❤ My wife and I have been together for 38 years with 5 sons and we've been to The Dominican Republic/Haiti and Jamaica and we're planning to do what you've done...I salute you two and wish nothing but the best for you as you venture into LIVING LIFE .❤
ОтветитьYou guys look pretty young, healthy and happy.
Enjoy your new endeavor
Muy bonito gracias
.
No aches and pains? C'mon. I'm sure things are cheaper but all your pain goes away? Oh, when the stress goes away, the pain goes away?
ОтветитьHe's so Mexican already (with beer and coca cola) !!! Welcome guys!!!
ОтветитьDid you visit the Mexico Consulate in your home state or South Dakota? And what was your time period for getting a Visa?
ОтветитьEverybody’s angry because of inflation, and the cost-of-living is ridiculous in this country
ОтветитьI was really surprised that they lived in Ashville NC, im from Raleigh and many people here think of Ashville as a retirement city
ОтветитьI enjoyed watching your video. You both come across as intelligent, personable and open minded, which seems to be the key when relocating. Your financial plans sound solid. Once you learn Spanish you can find work there or teach English. Good luck to you both with your new life. 🐈⬛🍀
ОтветитьIm also from Asheville NC
ОтветитьThk u for the wonderful informative video. I spend 4 mos. each yr in the Jalisco/ Nayarit area. Life is good there...MX is a happy place.
