Wasn’t this video done in 2020 - why did you change the title date??? Weird for a non-spammy channel
ОтветитьLuckily, there were only 10 models of production cats in 2023, so everyone made the list.
ОтветитьTop winner is in 2020?
ОтветитьRead Case for Christ book
ОтветитьSunreef claps
ОтветитьЛучший катамаран это WINDELO 50 ADVENTURE!!! все остальное жалкое говно
ОтветитьNo HH?
ОтветитьMost people's world view begins and ends with stock boats. I wouldn't think of a best catamaran to ever be a stock boat, unless your goal was to use a boat for the vacation charter market in the Virgin Islands, or a weekend / summer vacation use. In my personal worldview, the Marconi rig is a bad rig, and no boat with a Marconi rig could ever be "best." Some variation of a reefable and furlable wing sail rig is "best," something like the wingsail rig developed by Beneteau. Variations on this rig have been made for many decades. I also think catamarans should have a number of watertight bulkheads. In a catamaran, that would be best as an unstayed biplane rig, with mast in each hull, located as far forward as the front of the deck house on the bridge deck. Camber would not be cut into a sail with its luff attached to the mast, so mast bend wouldn't affect the camber of the sails. Camber would be A 65' cat could easily have 4 watertight bulkheads per hull, eight per catamaran, giving not only safety, but privacy. Such a boat would have 10 separate cabins, including engine rooms and the forward crash area.
ОтветитьSomeone is cloning your videos. I just seen it. the account is bilgi gucu with little dots above certain letters. Instead of saying 2021 they changed it to 2023 same title
ОтветитьWow, there are soo many catamarans out there, they are listing some 200 models at CatamaranShow
ОтветитьGreat job ! Any reviews for the FP Elba 45 planned or available?
ОтветитьMost of these boats are heavy slow turds with too much junk on them to look posh at boat shows. It's clear that people's landlubber wives had far too much say in your survey.
ОтветитьWould be great if you mention the price points a bit more.
ОтветитьDoes any of those boats have an electric + wind regen motoring option?
ОтветитьWill catamarans ever use green energy fuel?
ОтветитьPrices?
Ответитьyou should do reviews on 2+ to 3+ million dollar boats like the HH 50-55, 55 especially, incredible boat, 100% carbon fiber, top quality, fast and light, strong, and the most beautiful catamaran I have seen.
ОтветитьLagoon bulkheads have a problem and it’s a manufacturing fault. Cost a lot of money to fix and the value of the boat plummets. You have been warned. Watch the Parlay you tube and see the issues. Thank you for not having Lagoon making the cut.
Australian built boats such as the Seawind 1600 are just amazing boats 👍👍👍
leopard 50?
ОтветитьGarcia Explocat 52...
ОтветитьWhat about the Dean catamaran
Dean catsare the best hand built cats in the world. Dean cats is a small family business one of the first cat builders in South africa built strong and fast with a double sandwich hull by far the best in the word. Why is it not on your list
“Abject Luxury” 😂
ОтветитьMoney makes a difference.
ОтветитьThanks for this video
Ответитьwhere is the mcconaghy catamaran
It will be wiped away
For the cruising Cat, i choose Xquisite X5 ...
For the performance Cat i choose Outreamer 55 ...
Had you had a look at the Windelo 50? The helm position is really different. I really would like to have your opinion as you have reviewed so much boat. Thanks.
ОтветитьThank you for all of your work you put in. Impressive and very helpful. Your analysis makes me realize that there are really very few real performance cats, at least those that fit my needs. I don't need a sailing apartment but a well designed sailing cat with some luxury. I am therefore very grateful for your technical approach. For me the ORC 50 or 57, there is no competition for those ones.
ОтветитьNone of the cats in this video are even approachable by any of us. If you have a spare 1 mill lying around great... but You should have stuck to max $500k. Like me stating all the most expensive Top Gear cars that I will NEVER be able to afford:)))
ОтветитьI know I watched this when it come out a year ago, but I had forgotten about it.
I did a stack of research myself with 2 size's in mind.
About a 50' and about a 60', Quick but still with a reasonable degree of Luxury.
My top pics were the Seawind 1600 in the 50' class and the McConaghy MC60 in the 60' class.
Not quite ready to commit yet, but I'm left with a big decision.
Which one? The MC60 is considerably more expensive, but its a lot more boat.
Both will have to be new as there are is no second hand market for these yet.
That means a year or more wait for either one. That's OK. I have other things to do in the meantime but it will be somewhat frustrating.
I'm was happy to see that your reviews (viewer based scores) agree with mine on the around 50' Cats.
Now what I would like is a similar review of the around 60' range of Cats.
Main reason I'm staying away form anything bigger is draft (and expense). I want to live up a river in Queensland Australia, but I dont expect I will be spending too much of my time there. I also what to be able to get into tight shallow anchorages around the equator. A belated thanks for the review and all the best.
thank you very much a fantastic column that I followed with great interest because of my passion for catamarans, a few years ago only sports, now that I have a few more years I'm also looking for comfort and a good quality and price ratio. I am sorry that in this ranking we have seen little of the engines, the sail area, the draft with retractable keel (YES/NO) and the habitability of the cabins including the toilet and shower.
ОтветитьJust a big Thank You for putting this together.
ОтветитьWhat percentage of app voters were Australian?
ОтветитьEnjoy the Seas on a Catamaran, whether a Sail Cat or Power Cat.
ОтветитьThese results are not accurate. Basically you compare semi-custom boats, luxury/performance and standard. It's like comparing a Ferrari with a Polo or with Lotus.
If you had split in 3 categories (luxury / performance / standard) or even in 3 categories based on prices, it would be more interesting and accurate for sure.
Why not add Bali to the mix of boats tested?
ОтветитьDid you get to see the Garcia Expocat? 51
ОтветитьSunreef?
ОтветитьWhat's up with sun reef? They are coming out with their new eco line that looks very promising
ОтветитьGunboat 68 being conspicuously absent... What's up with that?
ОтветитьYou should do a behind the scenes review on "The safest bulkheads in the Catamaran industry" seems to be the talk of the town!!!!
ОтветитьWow amazing review!
ОтветитьCurious which one you feel gave you the most boat for the money?
ОтветитьSuch beautiful boats
ОтветитьSeriously not including a gunboat...
ОтветитьI would gladly trade everyone of those catamarans for a Gunboat 55.
ОтветитьThank u!
ОтветитьSeawind, forward view a bit restricted,
Ответить👍
