, Built on the same platform as the fox body. But in my personal opinion the wagon is snazzier anyday and they are dirt cheap cars.

Here in Europe we have citroen saxo vts, xsara vts ,puegot 106 Honda civic a lot of vw and bmw, some old and beautiful Mercedes w124 w140 of course the best car rx8s I don't understand why such a car is so cheap 😅😅😅 and lot more for project but are more expensive than west ones.

I'm 6'4. My first project car was a '64 Valiant. With a 340 V8 and a 4-speed, that car weighed only 2870 lbs, which was about 90 lbs less than my buddy's 327 Vega. Terrible stock brakes, but with some parts juggling I was able to swap to 11.8" front disc brakes from a '70 Imperial. Had to get custom-made headers done up, though, there isn't much room between the fenderwells.

A fun set of facts about my dad and his 92 Talon:
1. He is the reason Chrysler made it in Turquoise Blue Metallic. That color was only available on the Eclipse, but he liked the black top that the Talon had, so he annoyed some guy at Chrysler SO MUCH that they started making it Turquiose Blue Metallic and he got the second one made (the first was a showcar and he didn't want it because someone put a hole in the dash).
2. It was the very last 6 bolt car. Mitsubishi made a few changes to the 4G63 effective the second week of April of 1992. The changed motor was known as the 7 bolt (supplanting the 6 bolt). The 7 bolt motors were the ones that experienced crankwalk. This wasn't intentional, it just happened.
3. It had 315k miles on it and the motor has never been rebuilt, but it was customized by the Archer Brothers who raced the factory Talons in the SCCA World Challenge Series. It dynoed last year at 543hp across all four wheels.
4. It was the car that brought me home from the hospital and my dad REFUSED to sell it after I was born despite how hard it was to put a carseat in. My first memory of life is being in a rear facing carseat in the back of the Talon and watching rain drip down the rear glass.
5. It was in The Fast and the Furious. In the chase scene when the Supra and the Charger were chasing the motorcycles, when Brian slides the Supra sideways to shoot, you see the Talon stop in front of it.
6. The first time I drove it on the road, I had just gotten my license, I had a lot of parking lot miles on it, but this was my first road experience in not just it but a manual car in general. My dad was in the passenger seat, we were stopped at a light and an early S197 Mustang pulled up next to us and started revving. My dad looked at the Musrang, then at me and said "Don't lose." I was terrified I was gonna stall it, but I didn't, I SMOKED him.

My uncle is 6’4 250lbs and I’m 6’1 210 and we got a Miata project car. Managed to put a 5.7 V8 Hemi we ripped from a Dodge and cram it in that tiny car. Fun as all hell to drive. Even funnier that 2 big dudes driving it

My favorite project car was the 91 CRX-Si I bought from a co-workers mom for $400 and rebuilt it from the ground up. It had been sitting in a field for 10 years, widows smashed, interior trashed, but she was a pretty girl when i finished it.

It's funny, in the US the "Miata" (MX-5) is seen as a low level, kinda starter tuner car with great potential for part swaps and upgrades. But in the UK the MX-5 is seen as a "hairdressers car" or as I've also heard it named a "poofsmobile". Funny how polar the opinions seems to be.
For the record I think they're pretty sweet, even if the only person I know that owns one is my mum

I love the Miata, in fact I have a 2008, but I'm selling it at the moment.
That 6 foot 3 comment hit me right in the feels. I'm 6 foot 2, which is one of the biggest reasons I'm not going to keep it. :(

I got a dirt cheap mini r53 and I’ve had a really easy time finding parts. Yeah they’re super leaky and stuff tends to fail, but if you can find one with lower mileage that’s been taken care of then you’re set. There’s also a lot of online support for k-series and 2jz swaps. Honestly one of the funnest cars I’ve driven

Would still just get a salvaged miata for 800 bucks or less, put 2500 to 3000 in and boom good to go. They are still plentiful for cheap. Still waiting for my s2000, some day some day. For a beginner still one of the best options out there

So hear me out here, what about project cars that aren’t sedans(hatchbacks too) or coupes, I know quite a few people who are looking at wagons, SUVs, and vans to fix up… just a thought. I know this video is old etc but if you look back into your comments at all. Lost of the wagons, vans and SUVs prices are dropping recently. Some people do have stuff or people to haul but don’t want a full on truck.
