I don't get the complaints...I beat the game on my first try in under an hour using an Atari 2600 joystick...oh, and blindfolded. At least that's what my friend told me I did, and that once you beat it, the system automatically powers off, so I just have to believe him.

I know I died you don't have to keep telling me, that thought has crossed my mind on multiple occassions while playing the DS series.

The game introduced respec for Your character, the game in ng+ is the best of the whole franchise, best pvp, items Like ascetic bonfire let u repeat a bossfight if u want, for only these reason i would say that ds2 had A LOT of ideas

Honestly, I've played ds1 so much that I DO find it relaxing now. But yeah, no, when I first played it, it was easily one of the single most frustrating experiences I've ever had playing a videogame.

Dark souls is very shittily put together. This makes the game either easy or hard depending. Some of the bosses and areas are only hard cause of a singular environment feature. Like Tomb of the Giants is only hard cause you're basically blind. Those big skeletons are pushovers when you can actually see

Gotta say that the "hidden easy mode" is only so if you already know the game and know what you're doing, if it's the first, or maybe even second playthrough as a sorcerer, oh boy, you gonna have a bad time.

Dark Souls has got to be the hardest RPG game to ever exist in anyone's console. Yet... if you're making progress then it's not so bad anymore. It is the most unique RPG game to ever exist, to be played once or more than it should is anybody's choice.

Came to rewatch this after Elden Ring's massive success. Damn, Souls franchise grew so big. Happy to see Fromsoftware studio doing this well today, they totally deserved it. They still managed to keep their well known Souls games spirit even after going mainstream, never fell under that corrupted modern gaming disease.
