Never rely on google maps !!
ОтветитьYou guys never cease to entertain and amaze! 👍🏼❤️ You reminded me of so many times taking friends into the city who had never been. An experience so familiar to me was reimagined through their expressions, similar to yours. There's no other place on earth quite like NYC, especially the Manhattan Borough.
Running a red light is a rite of passage, Bob. You may regret it, but you're one of us now. 😂😂😂
Keep chasing freedom you guys! We'll follow.
After watching, this seems like so much work and stress. Thinking it might be better to use my $100 grand and drive or fly and stay in decent hotels all over the world. Think i can enjoy and see a lot of new places for $100K. Safer and less stress and probably more fun. I understand the RV life but the more i see these Vids and compare the cost, traveling without an RV just seems safer, cleaner, just as fun and all around easier. Can probably see more places as well....like Europe or the Caribbean.
ОтветитьCome on now, Bob…NYC traffic is no different than Phoenix rush hour on the 10! 😂😵💫🫣 Those NY streets are very tight! No way am I driving there…ever! 😆😜 You and Hillary are two brave souls and I’m so proud of you! 👏👏👏
ОтветитьTons of red light and speed cameras stay under 30
ОтветитьBeen there, but not in RV. Will pass 😂
ОтветитьThis is by far my favorite video of yours!!
ОтветитьThose driving in New York scenes were hilarious. That could be a whole series driving the van in downtown big cities 🤣
ОтветитьIt's my first time seeing your channel. We have never been to NYC either, but we are looking forward to exploring it too. We drive a Class A, so Liberty Harbor rv in New Jersy is where we plan to stay, then take the ferry across to the city. Safe travels you guys and thanks for such an exciting video.
ОтветитьWelcome to NYC and hope you both had a lot of fun!
ОтветитьThanks for reminding me not to go there 😂
ОтветитьSo exciting for me, because I used to live in NYC. We want to live in a vehicle, but need to drive into cities to perform gigs, so this was super interesting. Nice to know this RV Parking Lot exists. I think you could have parked on a regular street, since it’s only van-size. My sister lives in Harlem, and occasionally parks her small pickup truck overnight, but they have alternate side parking during the week for street cleaning (and ticketing revenue) so it’s tricky.
Huge headache figuring out what vehicle to choose for two traveling musicians with bicycles.
Good for you guys for dealing with the stress of driving around New York with patience and humor! Usually tourist videos make me cringe but you guys showed actual joy seeing sights that are very familiar to me. Yep. Driving in NYC is challenging. Driving is slow. Lots of delays because of construction, street closures and other obstacles. Drivers are aggressive and a little scary. But you guys did it! Glad you enjoyed your trip!
ОтветитьWelcome to NY guys! Love how you guys are so shocked at what we call the norm here !!!!
ОтветитьLove to see a non NYer act like a NYer I'm from NYC.
ОтветитьSo nice to see the south haven sweat shirt , im in Kalamazoo 1 hr away 😊
ОтветитьBTW for future reference Floyd Bennet field at Gateway Nat'l Park in Brooklyn allows RV overnight approx 30 miles from LIC where you were.
Ответитьwell i used to drive a truck and have 2 gps pay attention to truck gps not regular one i just had it for backup and dont pay attention to ur copilot cause they cant c ur truck gps and copilot needs to help u watch out for traffic and that it plus watch for rd signs u tell them tolook forand stay out of way of ur mirrors
ОтветитьReally fun video. Yes, New York traffic is rough. I enjoyed this trip. You two have such good attitudes. The rv park is a parking lot. But it is safe and convenient.
ОтветитьI'm a New Yorker who loves to visit other states and cities and can relate to how you felt visiting here for the first time.Very entertaining video.
ОтветитьFantastic! I’m in Nova Scotia and planning a big trip down to eastern seaboard in a year or so and was wondering about visiting New York. This is so helpful, thank you so much!
ОтветитьYou guys are so funny! Good thing Bob took his patience pills! 😂😂
ОтветитьThis is one of the best. The look on Bob's face when he ran that red light, soooo intense. I couldn't help but laugh. I have never been to NYC but I know exactly how he felt my couple of times going through downtown Atlanta. His commentary throughout was hilarious. 😂 That bridge was scary as hell! You did great the entire time, Bob Good job! 🏆
Ответитьnext time take 95 north to the van wyck then to westbound LIE to the bqe .....that gps no good lol
ОтветитьI'm a 70 yr old woman . I drive a 35' class A RV through Miami regularly.
If I can do it , Evan a Man can
Im in NY too. Out on the Island and lived in Brooklyn. This video had me cracking up!!! I actually paused it, grabbed my ice cream. a drink, and started it over!!! This is a classic comedy! Lol! You guys are hysterical. Safe travels and you have a new subscriber now!! ❤
ОтветитьThis channel randomly popped up and I thought you guys actually had an RV, RV which can be tricky to maneuver in the city. But, a van? Really? The title is misleading. There are can like yours by the thousands in the city. If you know how to drive then its no different.
ОтветитьYou guys took the most insane route for no reason
Ответить😅Hahahaha😂
I regularly travel from New England to Pennsylvania via I-95/Cross Bronx Expressway. Only once did I follow the recommended truck toute. I will not go thru the Bronx recommended route again because it takes you downtown!
Hahaha!.
You wondered how far you were from times Square?
Hahahaha! Times square is in Manhattan, you were still in Queens.
At that time, you were on the wrong side of the river and the wrong side of the island and...
Glad to see you made to NYC! As I said in your previous video if you can drive that van here you can drive anywhere! Using the truck route was a smart move for being here for the first time. I'm glad you made it through the stress you adapted very well. Also there is a different RV park that is closer to the water that you should look into if your are thinking of ever visiting again. Great video thanks for sharing!
ОтветитьY’all must be insane.
ОтветитьBoy you guys even stressed me out!!! NO WAY would I ever drive in NYC. I worked there several times when I was consulting and taxi's were the way to go.
ОтветитьYears ago, I drove a semi into Brooklyn every Monday morning!
ОтветитьWelcome to my neck of the woods.
ОтветитьSubscribed..loved your energy as a couple. She's really super expressive and he's like ..that chill guy haha
Also he's complaining about all the stuff I complain about and I've been here all my life. You can't even tell which lane you're in, people being allowed to just pull over on the fringe of traffic at a random location and stop traffic, rude drivers cutting people off on off ramps...ty for confirming that I'm actually not insane and all these other people are..
Now that was worth the price of admission. You know things are getting tense when Bob gets quiet. Fun video.
ОтветитьThanks for the trip if I can drive SF hills with a stick can I do this? 🤷🏼♀️
Ответитьwe took our TT and almost took our aircondioner off the roof. missed a turn and we went in the bronx clearance was 10 foot 1 ins we are 10.7 we just made it ... :)
ОтветитьWelcome to NY! Every time I drive into the city I would say I’m never driving in the NYC again! 😂
ОтветитьWow guys. We have been in this situation in cities. I think you guys do a lot better than us haha
ОтветитьIn new York if it's a parkway it's for cars ONLY. expressways are for cars and trucks.
ОтветитьReminds me of why I am soooo glad I left NY. Dirty, filthy place. Always under construction. With all the unions, NOTHING ever gets completed. Garbage never gets picked up.
We drove through the Bronx a few months ago and there was a broken down delivery truck on the side of the road at a light that had all flat tires and 3 ft weeds grown through it. Must have been there for years. It's been declining for years with no end in site.
Our Tucsonian son got a full scholarship to Fordham University in the Bronx. Oh what an adventure that was😮 Somehow, he made it through college and still lives there. I don't really see the draw but he loves it for some unknown reason😊 The first semester was the hardest and he was horribly sick most of the time. We really enjoyed your speed trip across the country! Take care.
ОтветитьLUV LUV LUV NICE SHOW
ОтветитьI am a retired bus/otr truck driver. Fortunate enough to never driven truck in NYC, but did, twice, spend a week driving a bus full of hjgh school kids around NYC. First trip I was a driver in bus 2 of 3. Bus 1 was driven by the most senior drivers on the trip who got us lost every day. And in true management fashion, bus 3 was the one with built in Garmin dezl GPS. You put in how tall, wide, and long your vehicle is and it finds the best route. Second trip I had purchased a Garmin deezl for my semi and brought it with. I never intend on going to NYC again, but if I do, I still have my Garmin. Best investment a professional or rv driver can make.
ОтветитьThis video is the best; commentaries, humor, scenery...everything was great! Keep traveling!!
