쓰나미가 밀려오는데도 대피 안하고 구경하는 사람도 있네.
일본사람들 재난대응 잘하는거로 알았는데 그런것만도 아니네.

도시에 위험 경보시스템이 안되어있다는것에 놀랐다.......

What I read, as of March 2023 there were still 2,523 still missing. In March of 2021 right before the 10 year anniversary, the skeletal remans of a woman were found and identified. And approximately 18,500 were killed. That is so mind boggling. I still can’t begin to imagine what these people suffered through.🙏

wow i was watching the river and was thinking ok so this city will escape major damage, the water is being contained , and then the aftermath was very different as the filming of damage was being filmed, that city was not damaged as much as others but it was still submerged to some extent , strange

Thank you for uploading (is it possible to enable captions in English?). Videos of the 2011 Japan tsunami always fill me with a solemn fascination as tsunamis of this magnitude and destructive force can happen anywhere and one must not take for granted that the early signs can cause us to underestimate this phenomenon. The Japanese are resilient people.

Think of it as a cost to live near seashore. Up to these days people still live in tsunami-prone area, as well as other dangerous places like volcano etc...

Interesting hydrodynamics...When the tsunami waters meet a wall or barrier, it builds up then overflows...That river allowed the water to essentially run out it's course, then..I thought it was going to go over the banks...But, it just went up river...Don't build dykes; build canals...
