Defending Mormonism is an oxymoron, or moroni, if you will..
ОтветитьI love the death stares lol at the end
ОтветитьCreation of the Earth...God organized matter that already existed...the Earth has existed as an Earth for less than 8,000 years. Science is an attempt by man to explain God's works. The educational system in the Under Satan Allegiance is brought to you by the same rubbish that brought you a Ju Ly for 1776...teaching Satanic beliefs.
ОтветитьVisions and allegories exist in scriptures and false statements are found from prophets. But let us look at this scripture that shows exactly how the atonement is set up in the world. I am sure it was not written as an allegory or by someone that got it wrong. And now we must push the entirety of small mistakes onto people as they try to do better.
ОтветитьSqueaky clean washed brains
ОтветитьGist of this conversation:
“I don’t know all of the answers, but what I do know, I know to be true and right”
“BUT YOU HAVE TO KNOW EVERYTHING OR ELSE NOTHING IS TRUE”
😂
Wow, these guys clearly know little about philosophy or other religious traditions. It is basically impossible to have a conversation with them on these topics.
ОтветитьSorry everyone! As I listen to this, I get more infuriated! Jackson reminds me of the brother off of 50 first dates! chimes in once in a while, but never effective. 😂
ОтветитьOh boy! I thought Jackson was the bad one, but Hayden just dances with his arrogance. John schools them and they don’t even see it!!!
ОтветитьJackson is no help….. just the spoiled bratty stare.
ОтветитьAs an inactive Mormon… these 2 young men helped make my decision to withdraw my name completely! Thanks!
ОтветитьI hope these guys keep doing this! Arrogance pours out of them. I have 2 active mormon friends who were embarrassed that these are the humans sticking up for the LDS church 😂
They now are very interested in learning about the other mormon stories with john.
Strong work guys.
As a never Mormon (but having lived with a mormon in NZ), and watched so many of these episodes (and being brought to tears sometimes with other stories) I was appalled at the style of these know-alls. Typical of high demand religions, when asked about something, they don't give an answer, dodge, defer delay and then introduce another question. JWs do this all the time! And then to quote 'technical questions' to prove their superiority, is pathetic. What really grinds my gears now, is not the obvious nonsense in the BOM (NOT that I have read it - no intention) but that they claim they are Jesus church! Why our name is Church of Jesus Christ, as if that makes it true. Are they following Jesus? When Joseph wrote his name into Exodus as being superior to Jesus. They have been following Joseph, and are trying to convince the world they are now following Jesus. But of course they are not.
ОтветитьI dislike that MS has become so political.
ОтветитьThis was painful to say the least
ОтветитьNo disrespect, I giggle every time they said: Heavenly Father 😅
ОтветитьJohn completely fails to conceptualize the fact that the root of objective truth does not fall within the conceptualization of the branches and instead falls within the conceptual roots. SMH.
ОтветитьId like to hear these guys talk to nemo, he'll them what happens when you value truth.
ОтветитьThese two are incredibly disrespectful. They talk down to John and they make false accusations over and over again. They are also incredibly arrogant and don’t recognize that other ppl have very different and more difficult life experiences.
ОтветитьWhile the “doctrine” is different the premise is the same for exJWs and John is spot on about where “apostasy” comes from and how it develops - from the teachings of the organization that indoctrinated us. The truth doesn’t mind being questioned, a lie does not like being challenged.
ОтветитьHow do smart people be so fooled? Literally insane
ОтветитьOh my gosh …they keep asking “ does that make sense ? “ when they try to explain things, it makes no sense at all! They have to turn themselves into pretzels to keep their faith.
ОтветитьAdam and Eve lived about 7000 years ago. This doesn’t contradict science either.
Evolution has been scientifically disproven in the early 1900s.
Geology supports the global flood.
I don't subscribe to the thought or concept that "The Church taught me X and it isn't true, therefor the church is not true." Over my life time I have been taught many things and aside from math maybe, most of what I was taught wasn't the "whole truth". And the more I study, the more I realize, most ideas we "preach" in religion, politics and life, simply are not "truth". Just 20 years ago, homosexuals were labeled "bad" by most everyone. Or going back a few more years, wives were subject to their husbands. So are we to condemn the past just because today we are more "enlightened"? My faith comes strictly from my relationship with God while the LDS Church is simply one of the tools I use to strengthen that relationship. Observation of life tells me more about the nature of God than any thing else. What I have learned about the nature of God, and in looking at the world around me, and looking at my past beliefs, it is a very short step then to accept that even the very church I belong to is flawed. You are flawed, I am flawed, the world is flawed. And that is ok, because it is impossible for anyone to be perfect and any organization to be perfect, regardless of what any flawed human says. Also, any organization must accept the flaws of humans. And at least in religion, you are better off to teach the lowest of principles so that the weak or the new aren't immediately turned off by things they do not understand yet. It is the same with parenting. You do not start off expecting a new born child to understand the deeper complexities of being an adult. It is only as they grow older and more mature you can teach them more, but more often than not, they refuse your teachings and have to go find out for themselves. So, you can say the church taught me x but, did "you" (in the general term) do your part to understand the meaning and intent behind it? Did you do your part to build your own relationship with God that transcends the basics you were taught as a "child"? I don't think we do that often enough, we instead attempt to remain as children, relying on others to tell us what to believe.
ОтветитьThis is my first Mormon stories podcast video I’m watching. Holy crap, this comment section is crazy toxic and full of hate. What a shame.
ОтветитьDefending Mormonism will get u laughed at more for defending Hitler 😂😂😂😂
ОтветитьThis was an interesting interview. I understand having questions for the interviewer (John), but I disliked how the interviewees (the brothers) seemed to use their questions for John as an attempt to prove their points. It was also a way for them to avoid John’s questions.
I LOVE hearing people’s differing perspectives and listening and learning and understanding. I value the brother’s faith.
I felt that they asked John a question, to then try to show John he was wrong.
I would have valued this interview more if the brothers just vulnerably answered the questions and told their honest and sincere stories and beliefs without seeming to try to prove they were right.
John kept answering their questions with his experience, and the brothers responded with frustration that John didn’t see things their way.
Their truth doesn’t need to be John’s truth. No one is judging them if they have a differing view, but I do start to become irritated with their need to prove their points as the correct way of thinking.
This episode has been amazing! Mormon stories, I love it when you're able to have people on that are still in the church as believers. It's wonderful to hear the dialogue and argumentation. It helps me see how far I've come and to see again why exactly I found the organization and religion not to be for me.
ОтветитьGay people don't matter so they don't bother answering John's questions about how they'd treat Gerardo.
ОтветитьThey are so afraid to have John on obviously. Coward Marines
ОтветитьIgnorance is bliss.
ОтветитьGet these a holes off please. They can’t help themselves
ОтветитьJohn is far more like Jesus than these hypocrites who think they are better than everyone else.
ОтветитьHow can these marines just gloss over the dishonest deception from the church? Greatest fraud ever perpetrated on mankind. Kind of a big deal. Must be nice to be able to not consider truth facts and honesty.
ОтветитьJohn followed Jesus…. Turned the other cheek after being insulted. Impressive and made these marines look stupid
ОтветитьOh considering the stupid ridiculous arguments these marines keep making John was a SAINT! That wasn’t heated. It was human and awesome. John held back with extreme restraint tolerating this crap he’s listening too. John for President!
ОтветитьFrailty of the human mind? To John ? He is so far superior to these idiots they should bow their heads in shame apologize and go away !
ОтветитьEveryone is welcome? What an idiotic statement!!
ОтветитьThis marine is so willfully ignorant it’s insulting he is in the same room with a great soul John . How generous John is trying to help the moron !
ОтветитьNo community is better than Mormon fear based shame based community
ОтветитьThat’s the face of a marine who just got his ass kicked intellectually. Lmao
ОтветитьThese idiots realized they made a mistake debating with John and Gerardo . John is making them look like the fools they are !
ОтветитьI can’t listen to these disingenuous arrogant marines for another second
ОтветитьThese marines are a joke. They should just stop talking
ОтветитьI think his eyes are about to pop out! Is he ok ?
ОтветитьIt utterly gives me pain to know people like these marines exist. Obviously Trump maga maniacs
ОтветитьNot sure what these two marines intentions were in coming on John’s show but they are coming off as arrogant a*******! And gullible fools still believing in a fraudulent church
ОтветитьIf I never hear the word conceptualization again, it will be too soon😊
