Again, another beautiful project! I think that going the way you did to finish it was the best way to do it.
ОтветитьLooks like a craft man made these tables with scrape wood available. My great grandfather used to do that during the depression. You always do such beautiful work.
ОтветитьThese side tables turned out amazingly. Thank you for a great video.
ОтветитьBeautiful
ОтветитьThe. "two thousand years later" was a whimsical touch which really made me laugh. You do lovely, artistic work. Your comment that sanding is such "fun" also added to enjoyment of your program, while you created something beautiful. Thank you!
ОтветитьThat wallpaper looks like maybe the 80s. People were putting “country florals” on everything in the US. Maybe in the UK as well?
ОтветитьYou have magical hands to be able to do it so well!! What a blessing!
ОтветитьTurned out beautiful!
ОтветитьThis turned out, absolutely remarkable😊 they are so beautiful and adorable ❤
ОтветитьExquisite!
ОтветитьSuperb job, Jay, as usual! Your attention to detail is just who you are! A perfectionist! You’re right about the natural colour and varnish! It makes the grain “Pop”. Just beautiful!🥰
ОтветитьYour work is always superior, and your teaching methods afe easy to follow.
Keep up the good job!
btw: I like how you didn't 'beat yourself up' over the veneer mistake, just owned it & went on with fixing it.
The pieces look great!
ОтветитьYou have done a fantastic job with the pair of small tables. Absolutely gorgeous, wow! Thank you.
ОтветитьNice job! I'm impressed with how well equipped your workspace is.
ОтветитьFabulous. ❤ It.
ОтветитьGorgeous 😊
ОтветитьLove the natural wood, I have tons in my own home. Not much for painting when it can be helped. ❤
ОтветитьWhat a darling pair of bedside tables, with such nice wood finish. They were not much to look at before you worked on them, but now they have nothing to be ashamed about. Thanks!
ОтветитьThey look lovely! I so appreciate your restoration work. 😀
ОтветитьIt moves me when a soul expresses divine talent.
ОтветитьPerfect 😊
ОтветитьYou should have painted it a delicate light blue - would have looked outstanding and very French!
ОтветитьWhy add the paper inside? To make it pretty!!!! lol men vs women. 😄
ОтветитьNEVR DULL... When I was sailing we always wiped all the stainless rigging with NEVR DULL to stop the rust from getting ahold. We referred to it as LIFE! because LIFE is NEVR DULL! and we constantly at it.
ОтветитьThanks!
ОтветитьМастер браво
ОтветитьVery pretty
ОтветитьThose nightstands are so beautifully made -- what craftsmanship! Beautiful restoration job, of course. (It always makes me jumpy when you talk about brass... I'm a trombone player...)😊
ОтветитьLeaving the wood its natural color was a good choice. Nice work. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьBeautiful 😍
ОтветитьVery pretty and delicate and the draws matched beautifully
ОтветитьAs always, nice job
ОтветитьNew watcher, and this has been my favorite so far. Love that wood! Binging all the rest ❤
ОтветитьI wonder if they lined the drawers to protect them and that’s why the wood is still so nice 😊
ОтветитьA little more scraping and sanding because it’s fun😂
For those of you who enjoy sanding, you’re welcome😂
I love this guys humor!
Wow❤
ОтветитьGorgeous!
ОтветитьLove your take. Brilliant and turned out beautifully
ОтветитьBeautiful. Your are a master❤
ОтветитьBeautiful ❤
ОтветитьI think what's most important to remember that in restoration its mostly about bringing the piece back to it's original state. dark stains were used to cover up the differences in wood used to make it look even, somewhat like what paint does and to give it the rich tones of the times. Today we seem to like the design more than the color. Make any sense? Its almost 4am here in the southwest of the US the brain is ready for bed. Thanks for the lessons and calming effect of the video.
ОтветитьI imagine being a wood worker is mostly buying clamps lol
ОтветитьLining drawers and shelves isn't done to cover ugly or damaged wood, it's done to protect it. It seems to have worked well because the wood inside the drawers is perfect!😊
ОтветитьA fabulous transformation again! I ❤ those bedside tables!
ОтветитьLove the look, Thank you
ОтветитьДобрый день Джей.Пересматриваю вашу реставрацию и все больше влюбляюсь в ее результат.Реставрация,просто восхитительна.
ОтветитьHa ha "Unless they thought this was actually pretty" . I totally agree 🤢, wood definitely better than that paper.
ОтветитьMy goodness, these are lovely. Masterful restoration with TLC.
👏✨Thank you for sharing your labor of love.✨
I ❤ these two cabinets. They look so warm but also mellow. A great job, all that sanding really paid off. Xx
