I cannot understand why Jeremy Weber says that miracles are against science and the law of physics. I mean, if there is a God who created these laws, what is the irrational on believing that the same God can "change" them for a moment? For miracles to be irranional and against science, there should be a denial that the laws of physics exist at all. There would be a conflict. But as far as miracles are considered "exceptions" from the laws of physics, and scientists are researching these laws, no conflict apperas here.

Firstly The videography and editting is amazing... really commendable. I wonder why religiosity is not in decline even in the fast advancement of science. I suspect there is a strong desire ( even among the scientists) to reconcile the science and religion. Whenever it conflicts we practice to navigate in both directions seperately.

It's not complicated. Science requires thinking. Religion requires that you stop thinking.

you could tell off the bat that he did not grow up in a very religious background if he thinks the only way to understand Torah is through its simple meaning

I think we can have both science and religion. I was raised with both of them when I was growing up, and I saw no issue. Also, I think a scientist can be religious or spiritual. Everyone has or should have the freedom of religion. However, I don't think religion and science should mix in the sense of being in a lab. A scientist shouldn't intermingle their religious beliefs with their scientific work. However, I think they can work together at times.

Isn´t here a conflict in the actual header "Science vs religion". Science isn´t a belief or statement, it is tools created to test things we can test. Religion again is gathered beliefs in something bigger. So as far as I see it, you can´t ask that question. It´s like saying "Tomatoes vs sport"??? It´s not either or. That there are religious people (fundamentalists) that do not believe in science as much or at all, is then another question or debate.

No. Faith/religion have NO place in the science lab. It is an added variable that skews perception of results, thereby introducing a bias. The worst sort of bias are confirmation biases. All scientists who are looking to "understand the works of the lord" are basically slanted. Their math/conclusions has to be verified with extra rigor.

Time will certainly sort this out. Religion’s destiny can only be reinterpretation, then eventually guaranteed to be wholly lost in translation over time. Science only provides exponential growth in understanding airtight repeatable truths directly progressing human understanding and interaction with all things. TIME will heal the wrongs of presuming truths with no accountability

Science is true, either you believe it or not. I was raised as Catholic until I started to question everything. Was I created by a man's rib? Was the Earth the centre of the Universe? What about all the archaeological traces that proof all the incongruences of what religion taught me all my life? There are more than 2000 religions around the world.....why do you think yours is the "right one"? Give me an empirical proof of the existence of your "God" and I'll believe it

What kind of person needs a god to be a good person. That just makes me better right there that I can figure it out and you can't

"Science flies you into the moon. Religion flies you into buildings" - Victor Stenger

"With or without it you would have good people doing good things and evil people doing evil things. But for good people to do evil things, that takes religion." - Steven Weinberg

“We are all atheists about most of the gods that humanity has ever believed in. Some of us just go one god further.” - Richard Dawkins

"That which can be asserted without evidence can be dismissed without evidence. - Christopher Hitchens

“Agnostics are just atheists without balls.” - Stephen Colbert

"When you understand why you dismiss all the other possible gods, you will understand why I dismiss yours." - Stephen Roberts

“The more I learn about the universe, the less convinced I am that there's any sort of benevolent force that has anything to do with it, at all.” - Neil deGrasse Tyson

"Give a man a fish and he will eat for a day; teach a man to fish and he will eat for a lifetime; give a man religion and he will die praying for a fish." - Unknown

"Religion is regarded by the common people as true, by the wise as false, and by rulers as useful." - Unknown

“Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?”
-Epicurus

"There can be no legitimate conflict between science and religion. " - Albert Einstein. If you know what "God" is, you know that God IS science! Because, God is the Mind that is All. There simply isn't anything else. Max Planck understood. If YOU want to understand, give me a "click" and read my book.....

Just as my Bible (undergrad optional course) professor put it, "Like Science, Religion is also a theory to interpret the Universe". It seems to me that they are both human attempts to understand the world we live in.
