2003 4WD Dodge Dakota slt 3.9 280,000 miles. No rust. Everything works, I’ve replaced the radiator, the O2 sensor, catalytic converter, shocks that’s it. Ball joints and fuel pump are next but at this point I will buy anything to keep it in motion. With the market the way it is I’m a happy duck.

I was given a 78
Ford f150 that was sitting for years. Guy didn’t wanna deal with it because it was his Dads who passed. Wasn’t running. Needed a fuel pump, battery, new gas tank, rear drums, oil change and runs like a champ. Smokes a little because of a small leak on the left engine gasket but I can fix that later.

My current truck is a 1993 Chevy 1500 with the 5.7 350 and 5 speed manual transmission. I bought it for $2,100 with 179,000 miles on it a little over 4 years ago. The odometer broke about a month ago at 203,000 miles. Since i bought it i put a new radiator, water pump, hoses, distributor, clutch, tune ups, oil changes (all done myself). A shop put a new front end on it and alignment. Its not pretty to look at, but it runs like a horse. Very well built truck worth every penny i put into it.

I'm still driving my 2003 Toyota Tacoma. Just passed 900K on the odometer; original engine and tranny. Replaced the frame, (part of factory recall) about six years ago. Nice truck to pair with my '03 Camry with 500K miles and still going strong.

I know I’m crazy, but I only want a 3/4 ton or 1 ton standard cab long box 4x4. I’m wanting it with a V8, manual tranny, no power windows, no power door locks, and no A/C. If I get one with all that power stuff I don’t want, I’m getting rid of all that stuff.

Those v8 tundras are solid, but low efficiency. Forerunners with V6 great also. Problem for me is I'm too tall to get into those things. Mazda SUV was the only affordable 4x4/AWD I could find that I could drive without discomfort. 2016 cost me $15K 4 years ago.
