ОтветитьBuy cheap, buy twice. The first one seems like a deal, and then it eventually becomes apparent that it is totally inadequate. After much more money is spent on repairs and modifications.
That's the bad case scenario. And it often does play out like that for the uninformed. Buying what you really want is cheaper in the end, because then you buy once, and you don't have to mod it.
Last time I purchased a car, I spent a little more to get what I wanted. I love my Focus ST, and I am probably going to also get a fast bike with some nice feaures when I can afford one.

ОтветитьHarley is possibly doable. I've had 140hp inline fours and man it was a blast, but it was frustrating to have a bike that I could never crack into.

ОтветитьI originally heard thatCF Moto would just use the old 990 twin motor... the rumor being they bought the rights for that old motor.... but now the rumor is more they will use the same brand new V4 KTM designed engine made in China that just so happens will also be called "990" by KTM but 1000cc by CFM which sounds like accronym for what? CounterFit Motorcycle? but wont be a knock off if they also are building the engines for the rumored new RC8? Wait the RC8 was the old twin that had 4 valve heads hence 4x2=8 hence RC8 ...but a NEW V4 would actually be an RC16 but that is not as cool as the sound of "bringing back the RC8" Although the 1000cc KTM prototype MotoGP bikes are called "RC16" already ....so I mean either name is cool
ОтветитьRe "unbreakable ASV levers" ? Meanwhile many levers are obvious DESIGNED to break (with an actual break point notch midway in the lever) rather than to destroy that expensive brake master cylinder. So IS n unbreakable lever a good thing if the application is on a master cylinder?

Gotta say, as a engine builder, and multiple fast motorcycle owner , Ive actually owned and rebuilt some of the original cfmoto Honda reflex/ helix clones, and they run good. And Last A while, A crankshaft with rod & bearings for them is $80.00. a piston with rings is $19.00...
Drove one 500 miles a week for almost a year. 85 mph/80 mpg
Nobody will put japanese manufacturers out of business. Quality sells, and provides new customers. The opposit of Ktm

ОтветитьIt does not matter - it can be made out of gold I will NEVER own a Chinese vehicle! I avoid Chinese as much as possible. Not easy in the current World of globalism but when there is a choice - I never go Chinese!
Virtually all companies that have outsourced manufacturing to China will get it in the rear! They will be out competed on their on technical innovations so out sourcing to China is like p*ssing in the pants - warm and cosy in the beginning but...

Ответить@yammienoob does anyone know if their speedometer is accurate? all Chinese bikes I’ve owed the speedometer was grossly incorrect. So bad I couldn’t tell if it was kmph or mph that it was reading.

ОтветитьThe low quality 'made in China' trope is a myth that needs to die. As someone who has witnessed very high quality products churned out in Chinese factories, I can unequivocally say that they can make anything that rivals the Japanese, German etc.
The low quality trinkets you see in Walmart is a function of cost not country. If you ask a German company to make a $5 gadget you will get a $5 quality.
And build quality and reliability 😖

ОтветитьId be very weary of buying a 1000cc cf moto superbike. With that kind of power any flaw could be deadly. Just lookin at the concept I can see some worrying components. Plus we are yet to see how reliable the even 450 is. Onde you start lookin deeper into the 450 you can see some shotty work here and there (cough cough swingarm). Not to mention who knows how much their 1000cc would weigh if the 450 already weighs as much as a cbr1000rr. It could be as heavy as a bagger

ОтветитьWhat the hell are Harley doing? They’re making the X350 and the X500 in China and the X440 in India. Is someone planning their product range and manufacturing footprint at all, or are different employees of HD randomly making these decisions?
