My reels get 3-10k views but barely any follows. So I don’t know about this going on and on about reels. People just watch them, yes they get good reach but I was growing faster in my niche with small reach but more people likely to take action.

I don't have too many followers but I used to get much more likes for my photos. I am into photography and I am posting the same high quality photos that I used to but I noticed that since the pandemic I get a very few likes now ! I just don't get it cause some of the photos I post are stunning and they would get much more likes back then. I also don't understand what does it has to do with algorythm. I thought it's the people who are looking for hashtags and like the photos. I don't want to post reels since I am not interested in videos but photos. From what you said it looks like people are looking for reels now and not for photos, which doesn't depend from the algorhytm but what people are searching
