The straight-sided can Coke with the printed LA Olympics symbol is something modern movies set in the 80s wouldn't get right.

Andrew just showing how many calories he consumes is really indicative of what most gym rats or athletes actually eat. It's not the picture-perfect green smoothies a day, but eating more carbs than protein and having enough dessert to keep up with training. Lots of fluids like water, or water drink just enough to keep everything down, like unless you want abs this is what a lot of a diet regimen is to sustain your performance in and outside the gym. A lot of everything carbs, protein, sugar, vegetables, and fruits.

Back when this came out Ally Sheedy stated she improvised her lunch scene. The only scripted part was when she threw the lunch meat up at the statue. Everything else, she improvised 🙂🙃

when i was in highschool , in 1991 i had this locker with a top that lifted up. the wall of lockers mustve had a dead space behind them, so i would throw the sandwiches and lunches i didnt like, up through the top of my locker. after a year of doing that, it smelled SO bad. years after id finished highschool, a friend of one of my ex girlfriends told me they ripped down a bunch of lockers looking for the stench, and there was a 4 foot tall pile of sandwiches from 1991🤣🤣

I just now noticed that Allison's sandwich had one slice of wheat bread and one slice white. Lol. 40 years almost and id never noticed that!

Remember when we have paper straws and we were thinking about the environment will even out thinking about it there weren't any black people in his movie this was the 80s in there in Illinois

Hilarious how during the 80s, sushi seemed to be reserved and affordable only for fancy and wealthy people and nowadays it's so common that you can even find it inside a gas station. Of course, you're exposing to a serious case of food poisoning but still, it's considered a basic meal lol

Are most American high schools this nice? Every movie I watch, they have a high school that's state of the art and huge.

One thing that always stood out to me was how each character’s name starts with one of the first three letters of the alphabet, including John since he mostly is just referred to as “Bender.” Probably just a coincidence.
